Interesting tidbit - Just finished the last node in Global Domination. I have to go back for the Essentials. I am #1002. Safe to say, not that many people have completed the Gauntlet. Even though I am 1002, there could be people above me that did the Essentials already, but haven't completed the main tract. When I am done with the Essentials, I'll post again. That rank should be an accurate picture of who has completely finished Global Domination.

Is it very hard on last nob? Scaling is crazy too?
How many ppl is in your bracket now?

As a transitioner by choice, I haven't leveled anyone to 166, as I want to be able to do well in PVE, which means, I don't want bad scaling. The last node is Fury, 3* Thor and Xforce. I don't remember what level they were when I beat them, but the node is now Deadly, with 255, 256, 256. I have a 156 Fury as my highest leveled character.

I'm pretty sure my bracket, is the only bracket. To get in the Global Domination bracket, you need to beat everything in Alpine Tactics except for the Essentials and the first node in Global Domination. Currently, only 5774 people have done that. I could be wrong that this is the only bracket, but I highly doubt it. With 2d 14h remaining, I don't think that it would be wise to wait for a fresh bracket to open. Global Domination is not easy, and if you wait too long to play it, you might not have enough time to beat it, let alone try to be one of the first 10 in the bracket to beat it.

Gonna be a couple hours before I post an update, since I gotta wait on healthpacks to regen. The last tract of Essentials is pretty hard, and by pretty hard, I mean ridiculously hard. Luke Cage/OBW/Hulk, then Luke Cage/LDaken/Rocket&Groot, then Luke Cage/Thor4/Loki. Don't expect any match damage out of these nodes. I dropped the whales on the first 2 before I tried taking Fury into the last. Downed Loki with Demolition, Punisher got oneshotted by a righteous uppercut, then Fury was downed with a jab. Retreated since I had no chance. Might end up saving some hassle and dropping the whales again on this node.

So on the last nob I think I will need to lvl up my Lcap & hulk to 166 to Max just to fight them icon_e_sad.gif
XF & Lthor is lock will b a hell for me icon_e_sad.gif

No, I do not think you will need to level anyone to fight the node. I gave my levels as an example.

6287 people in the bracket now, but again, I highly suggest not waiting for a fresh bracket. I have finished Global Domination, all nodes, Essential and Non-Essential. I finished 402. That means only 401 other people have finished all the nodes in Global Domination. I think that should tell you how rough it is to beat. Do you want to risk not getting a Deadpool Purple cover and a Hood Yellow cover, because you wanted a chance to get those and a 10 pack? If so, you are braver than I am. I would rather have the 2 covers, than none, which is what you are risking if you wait for a new bracket. Who knows, you might get lucky, get the 2 covers, get a 10 pack and get all 3* from your 2* minimum, 10 pk? If you can speed rush thru Global Domination if/when a new bracket opens, you deserve 12 3*.

I got my hood after beating 36 and all the previous essentials and thought "I'm done". Then this morning I beat 37 and 38 in quick succession and thought "maybe...". Then I read your post. Yup, I'm done. Calling myself a transitioner would probably be generous considering my a and b teams are 2* level 78 or so. Props to obw for almost singlehandedly getting me this far, but I think I probably have some work to do before tackling the cage matches. I'm happy with top 1200 in the world right now.

Edit: true healing or no true healing, 29 ranking for obw is too low. She has allowed me to kneecap several 159 level teams without losing a hero.

I would suggest trying to go for it. You still have plenty of time. Your scaling shouldn't be as bad, but I think the later nodes will be classified as Hard and the final might be classified as Deadly. The first Luke Cage essential might be a no go, since OBW is locked out, but a good board can easily get you a win.

The second one had to be compiled by someone sadistic. So they group together one guy that can heal immediately, one guy that can heal when close to death, and add on one guy that passively creates a protect tile that negates match damage? That was nuts.

I hope they allow enough time for me to get more DP points before they run the next Gauntlet. I only used it twice, on those first 2, and I have no regrets doing so.
  • Retribution is my new best friend.
  • Can anyone share their expertise about how I should go about completing Simulator 36? I'm a transitioner as well with my highest leveled character being a 3/3/5 Blade (Level 110). I have Sentry cover maxed but will not pump the ISO into him after the nerf. I have all of the consensus-best star.pngstar.png's maxed out as well as various cover levels for all of the other star.pngstar.pngstar.png's.

I tried the Stormneto combo and it just isn't enough with their underwhelming health at this point. This is the node with R&G, Blade and 4Thor.

How is your LCap? You want to take out Blade first, then R&G, while denying Red/Blue (preferably both, but at least 1).

Additionally, how is your Hulk? You can let him generate a green board with Blade's strike tiles and CTS a few times

If you're a 2* - 3* transitioner, Captain America, possibly aided by OBW is good to deal with these nodes, particularly since he is boosted for the gauntlet. The drawback is that it's going to be a very long fight.

All of my essentials (DD, Hood, Punisher) are severely undercovered (2-4 covers each) and effectively deadweight, thus I had only two slots for all essential nodes. Managed to get number 88 in Global Domination using 3/5/5 Cap and 3/5/5 OBW.

The idea is to keep the most dangerous character stun locked, and just whittle down the health very slowly, while draining as much as you can. Just focus on getting purple to feed all your other powers. If you get unlucky and a power hit goes off, OBW heal helps you stay in the fight. For the punisher essentials (one with Luke cage in all of them) A min 2 red and blue cap covers should allow you to replace his prot tiles with your own countdowns.

Just remember that your main goal is not to die from powers, and it should be doable. Good luck!

That's excellent advice. Ruefully, my LCap is sitting at 2/1/1 (Level 40) and Hulk is at 2/2/1 (also Level 40). I thought that I was lucky to even get the Punisher cover from the previous sub. I only need to complete this node to get The Hood's yellow.

Stormneto all the way for me

I took Blade first, then Thoress and then R&G but i have to say i used my 1/2/3 x-force to deny yellow at the end for R&G. Maybe you have a good TU for this?
  • You could try CStorm/MNMag/MHawkeye if you have them covered and leveled. It's squishy, but it hits really hard. Focus on red and purple early, grabbing a blue or two when you can, just to prevent strike tiles and build up Polarity. Once you have the blues, start trying to sustain. If you can manage to get enough green for a lightning storm, by all means, but your main focus should stay red, purple and blue.
  • Any ideas how to defeat Essential 16 - OBW / Luck Cage / Hulk? or Simulation 42 - Nick Fury / Thor / X-force?

I dont have any 4* maxed or lvled... so I need to do it with 3*... any ideas?
  • Any update on the last sub for vet

I *think* I went Stormneto + Hawkeye (with +3 Blue/Purple) for this one - as I think others have said, you want to target blue/purple/red in whatever order is sensible given the board's layout. If you use MNMags' red, be careful not to place it while Speed Shots (assuming you generate them with Polarity shift) are counting down. CMarvel/2*Thor/OBW has also been a "go to" for me when things get tough, especially against characters that generate protect tiles (not an issue with this matchup). Use your boosts and hope for a friendly board!!!
  • Solid, sensible advice. Thank you all for your help. I'm hoping that I can push through this Sim.

I ended up blowing through my DP points with the last 2 essential nodes left and was ready to give up. But I went with Lazy Cap and MNMags, as someone else on the forums had suggested, and took down the last two after many unsuccessful tries with the likes of Fat Thor (3*), Patch/Hulk, etc. I boosted blue/purple and red/yellow to get Cap's abilities going. (MNMag's purple to create more blues.) If you have 5 covers for blue and red, you can replace Luke's protect tile. I'd stun Luke so he couldn't create more protect tiles before going after the rest. For the last node with Loki, I went after Loki first and had a very favorable board with a couple of match 4 and match 5s for blue and purple. This triggers Loki's green but if you're lucky you can stunlock him before he gets any of those tiles off.

Stun is huge in these levels. So is Cap's ability to overwrite. Anyone who doesn't have a max covered Steve could try rolling with 2* Cap though it'll be a much longer battle...

Any advice for Sim 33? I've got level 223 Patch/L.Daken/Doom all laughing at me because they keep dropping me after a few turns and I keep coming back. Time to turn the tables on these jerks. But how? (Keep in mind I have no 4*s.)

I had a feeling that once I asked for help I'd get it next turn. All it took was for MrRogers/Th3r/Loki to get a good board and things went super smoothly. Thanks for the help!

Looking at your roster, I'd suggest Daredevil, LThor & Hood or Blade. Blue/purple, red/yellow & either green/black boosts or a good TeamUp like Aggressive recon, in that order of priority. Focus on doom while building up AP, denying blue & purple as much as possible to avoid Chem Reaction & Diabolical Plot. Use radar sense often to keep the strike tiles at bay. Billy club will help you mitigate the true healing after you take down doom. Try to kill patch before he gets 14 red. Once the stunlock gets rolling matching your ambush tiles will become really effective.
