Hi all, yes, Scotland Yard ran early by mistake. We have hidden it and rescheduled it for when it is supposed to run. Nobody will lose any points they already gained in that sub-event. Sorry for the confusion.

I guess I should've cleared Scotland Yard first instead of Anderson Inc. since Scotland Yard was gone when I came back to the game. I guess that explains why my overall ranking dropped pretty quickly. icon_e_confused.gif
  • After falling asleep at first place in my bracket without doing a couple more clears first, I was beating myself up when I woke up and realized I had dropped down significantly. I saw the two subs, did a clear on both thinking nothing of it. I'm glad I get to keep my SY points because now I am back at 10th place, but I can see why people are mad they didn't get a chance to get some extra points.

I did SY first then got busy at work preventing me from doing Anderson, more or less a wash for me

Just curious since I'm not a veteran, but has something like this happened before? I have to assume so, what was done in the past? Did they correct the point totals?

I'm probably one of the few in the first slice that did do a full clear of Scotland Yard, but just one. I know at least a few folks did more than that. In my case, their lead isn't insurmountable (about 4K) with 4+ days left, but it definitely makes the climb/grind more difficult than it needs to be.

Why can't the points just be removed from those that did work on that erroneous sub (that includes me)?

Something similar to this happened in one of the heroic oscorp where all the missions started out with double the intended points and had a much higher rubberband, which means whover played in the first 5 or so hours before they corrected it started with a huge lead and they didn't do anything about it but they did increase the cover payouts by 50% (e.g. 1-3 gets 4* instead of 1-2). Now keep in mind that was back when rubberband was really high so even if someone started out with double your points it was at least plausible to make that up, versus now where there's no way you're making up that deficit if the guy ahead of you didn't screw up.

They fixxed their mistake when they closed that one Season early im sure the rewards will come to those who got ripped
  • bah-hah, they screw up on an event that's supposed to award a 4* to top 50?

That would likely be nearly everyone in Slice 1.

I don't think they fixed it by closing it, unless they were to take away the points that shouldn't have been won. But people used health and boosts maybe, so I think the better choice would have been to just leave it up.

Fixed that for you, this is hardly a first

That's what I meant - nearly everyone in Slice 1 is at a disadvantage to whoever hammered the nodes the hardest when they were accidentally opened.

I think the real fix would be to bring it back on schedule, but everyone who already started it keeps the points and the countdown timers they had when it was pulled. This means no head start but also no lost work or lost health packs and boosts. This is probably not technically pissible however.

Extending the top 50 prize to top 100 would probably get the job done though, at that point nobody misses out on star lord who would have otherwise gotten it,

I know that I was in top 5 in my slice 1 bracket. After not grinfgrinding S Yard I am 5k behind those who clearly did, with no real option to regain that position unless they all stop trying.
  • Just for clarity's sake since Sub 3 opened at the wrong time, when is it suppose to open? I'm gonna guess it's also 48 hours, so Friday Morning at 9AM ET through Sunday 9AM? Based on what I read in the Forums, the last 24 hours is just the main node for the remainder right?

I only ask because I also thought I read that this Event had overlapping Subs like The Hunt that just completed (unless there's some mystery Sub opening I'm not aware of?).

It has had repeated subs in the past, but I always hold out hope it won't each time they rerun it.

If you are screwed due to Scotland Yard I suggest that you try to keep up but don't end up #1. CS definitely won't give you an extra covers if you end up #1 despite losing out points from SY, as was for my case in Prodigal Sun when the points didn't register. Unless CS just don't like me. icon_e_sad.gif

Same here. I was surprised by the two subs and when I got ready to start Scotland Yard it disappeared. I dropped 5-6 spots on that alone.

bullseye/empirist/ares looks like it'll be the tougher one for those transitioners in this sub. If someone with a 2* roster figures out an easy combo for it, please post it up so I can help those with more fledgling rosters when they start to struggle with it as it scales.

I used MNMags/mHawkeye/CStorm on it today, but when the event ran previously I still had a transitional 1*-2* roster and believe I used some combination of MNThor, IM35 & mHawkeye (especially boosted, his red is a lot of bang for the buck, relatively speaking, if you can keep the countdown tile alive) with mWidow (I only stopped relying on her when I got her two star cousin up to ~level 60 and at the time I didn't have any of the other boosted characters at respectable levels). I generally target Bullseye first to get rid of his annoying defense tiles and stun Ares as often as possible. This time around the Empirist didn't get an attack off, so I forget how relatively damaging they are, but regardless sticking to killing Bullseye first and stunning Ares as often as possible should get you through.

    Good luck.
  • So there isn't a new node for the main in the second sub, correct? I still only have 1.

I joined a late slice, and I'm surprised that rubberbanding has been practically non-existent. If anyone would like to compare, what are the base values of your Family Reunion I? Mine looks like ~153 or so.
