This event is nuts. I've done clears pretty much every three hours while I've been awake and still am outside the top 100. Okay, I haven't done the Skrull node every time since that node is really not fun to play, but even so I'm not even close to a Star Lord cover. I can't imagine what the top scorers are doing since they have close to double the points that I have.

Are you doing multiple clears before sleep? If you'll be afk for 9 hours, do 3 clears.

they should just extend the rewards - top 50 get 2 covers, etc. make it more like a 3* reward structure. this way those that ground scotland yard won't lose out (because they could have been grinding anderson instead, so it seems unfair to take away points), and those that didn't grind and lost places have a bigger chance of getting the covers they deserve.

I'm starting to wonder if this event was meant to run on 8hr refresh, but one of the hamsters probably didn't get the plot and the customary at-least-1-screwup-per-PVE happened again.

But releasing multiple subs (is it the first time ever there was a 4 day long sub?) is still weird. Feels like letting off a fart, but ending up getting more than you bargained for. Well, it happens to the best of us.

I had a 3K lead over the current leader at the end of the first subs. I am currently 9.8K down. 2.5K of that is due to the fact they double cleared Anderson INC. So that is 10K they gained on me in those 2 hours and hence why I said I need to make up just over 6K. If they just bring the Scotland yard back with the same refresh timers as when they stopped it I be happy but I cannot see that happening so I lucked out by not taking advantage of the situation.

Now I feel bad. I was just doing a couple of clears before work when both subs opened. I thought it was weird but at the same time was like whatever, they change event formats all the time anyway. It never occurred to me they'd close it and I'd get an advantage from grinding it down. Sorry about that.

If I promise not to win the event will you guys not be mad? I've won Thick as Thieves before anyway.

wont work cause only slice 1 had the advantage and it was only up for like 2 or so hours. So people in slices 2-5 never had a chance to play them. I Can see giving something to people in slice 1 but what would be the reason to extend these features to slices 2-5 when they never had the nod in the first place

wow i just noticed top 50 is only one cover thought it was 2. just another reason to dump it after the next pve

The reason would be that the initial reward levels were too stingy in the first place.

This event's a wash for me (*). As long as I get the 60k progression reward I'll count that as win. I like the idea of new 4* (though not every 2 weeks, please for the love of $deity) but the last one was underwhelming and is still sitting at a useless 1/1/0.

(*) I'd probably feel differently if I was actually competitive in this event. For some reason this seems unreasonably difficult. Anderson V is "only" 145 for Wolveroach, yet I lose very, very quickly.

And if they ground Anderson the next 2 or 3 refreshes of that sub would not have been at full points and the people that just did one refresh would catch back up. In fact D3 doing nothing will only encourage more people to exploit any problems in the game as they know they keep any advantage they gain. (Since I am from an MMO background you know what I think of exploiting bugs in games)

I wouldn't feel bad. You were playing how you normally would. You didn't release the subs early. You just got an advantage without knowing it. I didn't notice it was released early either. Did notice the ridiculous 4 day timer left, but wasn't really concerned.

If you do win the event, I don't think anyone gets mad at the other players, even if they knew it was a mistake and milked it. It'd be a gamble multi-clearing that sub, because if they didn't pull it, those that didn't multi-clear would get full points quicker. Since no one knew D3 would pull the sub as their fix, those that gambled, won out.

I've won Thick as Thieves before too, and Sumilea probably has too. A 4* wasn't on the line before with it though. I don't know if I can make it into the Top 10. I will keep playing, but that 8 hr refresh spoiled me. I got #1 last PVE for my bracket. Don't want to burn out again, after getting a recharge. Good luck.

I guess the majority of the people have alarms set up to wake up in middle of the night and get those points.... First place has a 10K lead on me and ive missed 1-2 refreshes... I guess I gotta step it up for top50

This being a weekday event may be taknig me out of competition for a Starlord. I can clear most of the nodes 3 times if I have to, but not the top ones without buying a ton of health packs, and the fact that there's no decent end time for me means I'm going to fall further and further back with every sub.

I'm starting to hate PVE time slices. They're a great idea in concept, but in execution there's no decent time slice for me at all. Most of my playing time is in the evening, where I can chooses 6 or midnight. On is right after I get back from work, giving me no time at the end of a sub, the other is after I"m asleep, giving me no time at the beginning. Either way I fall behind every time. If they'd move slice 3 just an hour or 2 later I'd be fine, but as it is, I can barely compete.

I just about clawing D3 Foobar back even having to do double clears at night and during my lunch hour. A double clear looses you about 350 points where a missed refresh is 2371. Node scaling starting to climb however my cheese of basically killing hulk on Anderson 5 not going to last much longer and I had to use the B team on Anderson 4 twice now due to the C team being wiped out by cascades. Thor still one "Goding" the essentials with the help of some 2*s.

I know what you mean and if I really wanna get starlord ill need to start some double clears as well... currently 67th in my main and I keep going down! What sucks is we complain about the format but always push ourselves more each and every event
