can you just briefly tell me what are the levels for your
Defend the Sentry V (wolve/obw/hawkeye)
Defend the Sentry VI (bp/goon/lcap)
Final Choice (Lthor/Lcap/Wolv)
appreciate it your input
For me they are:
Final Choice - 270 271 271
Defend Sentry 5 - 232 233 233
Defend Sentry 6 - 197 198 1980 -
I have a lvl 221 X-Force. Have been playing the event pretty actively (dem useless tokens, at least the HP was nice), got 136k.
Defend The Sentry V - 222/222/223 (that's GSBW, by the way, not oBW. oBW is much much scarier even when level 120-150)
Defend The Sentry VI - 186/187/186
Final Choice - 248/249/2480 -

I have been barely playing this event mostly due to scaling so whatever personal scaling that may exist as a function of this event must be much lower than yours. At this point it's hard to say if there's a 'past performance' scaling factor because your levels looks roughly in line if you just scale the difference from 166+ linearly. That is, we have:
FierceKiwi (166) - 226
Locked (221 XF) - 248
Me (270 XF) - 270
If we assume the additional scaling only kicks in when XF is above level 166 and that the increase is linear, the expected enemy level for a 221 XF would be:
226 + [(221-166)/(270-166)]*(270-226) = 249.3
This is quite close to the observed levels. This also means for this node in particular, each level X Force is above 166 results enemy levels being increased by 0.42. Or, for each level X Force gains above 166, your enemy gains 1.27 total levels (since there are 3 of them), and since we know 4* scales far worse than any other star rarity, there's no way this can possibly work to your advantage.0 -
Trisul wrote:I'll echo the above comments about how good MNMags/CStorm are in PvE, Daken/MNMags/CStorm with +all and +blue/purple boosts are what won me Sentry as well.
I don't think any other combination can reliably win so easily in all of 2* land. They should be on every 2* transition roster.
I'd replace Daken with OBW in the tank spot if any of the enemies like blue or purple. Also good for emergencies when you need health / steal more than stun/damage.0 -
my nodes
Defend V - 209
Defend VI - 159
Final Choice - 224
and I do not have any 166 characters, only 130-158 (3)0 -
My nodes:
Defend The Sentry V - 211/212/211
Defend The Sentry VI - 167/168/167
Final Choice - 227/227/227
My X-Force is only 151, and I have 4 166 3*s. I do have a ton of covers, but ISO only comes so fast. For the event I have 118,073 pts in total.
Edit: Doc Oc is buffed to 170 though.0 -
I top out at 113
Final Choice - 206
Defend 6 - 141
Defend 5 - 1940 -
Doc Ock I would like to officialy thank you and say goodbye as I banash you to my roster of under leveled 3* characters. Your Insult to injury has been a perfect match to Berserker Rage. Your attack tile has double dipped off of and have helped demolish high level goons. Unfortunatly you will no longer be buffed and without enough covers your health and attack tile are lacking. When you show up as a goon in PVE you will be respected, and annoying. I hope to see you in some lightning rounds, and that you are added to the token pool sooner rather than later. As it stands now you can hang out with Colossus, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Deadpool waiting for more covers. Maybe in a month or 2 there will be another 8 is enough and we can get together for a drink. Just remember it's not you, it's my MMR that is making me breakup with you for now.
Good luck and I know with a couple more covers you will definatly be more attractive to me again. Until then good luck.
I have a 25k lead to stay top 10 so I can stay there with limited play and can concentrate on Sentry hopping, I mean starfall.0 -
There is absolutely something about scaling that works according to your roster. For example, in my 1*->2* transition self, the very first node in the final sub is level 20s and 40. I think it may have started lower but I don't remember. I never see the 100+, 166+, 200+ nodes that others talk about on the forums. However I will say the very last node was 122 all when I first saw it, and gained 2 levels quickly there after. It was also a horrible bear. But I'm glad I finally beat it, since it has since scaled another 10 levels. That seems like a dirty trick on top of a dirty trick to me. I really don't know why the devs allow something so mean spirited.
If anyone is wondering, my sad 2* roster only has three standouts: Ares and Daken at level 55 (my highest except for the worthless one-cover 4* Wolverine that is now eating up roster space, and also a 2* Thor at 55 who didn't help much). But they made this event possible for me. Using the +3 to all starting AP boost along with the 2x all match damage boosts are pretty amazing with a team that has two big hitters that only need 6 AP to get started. Only wiped once on that final node, then beat it the 2nd time. Hooray for having tons of boosts saved up. I managed to get a Doc Ock and like someone else mentioned, he's great for tanking for 2* Daken (and nothing else). My poor OBW is just too squishy. (You may also recall that Ares and Daken have been rewards in the 300-rank range in PvP for a few weeks. That's the only reason I have them.)
Finally managed to reach the 105k as well, and thank goodness that's done. Like someone else suggested that is IT for me! Ranking rewards can tiny my kitten.0 -
Yeah, good job Loroku! Pleased for you buddy.
This event has made me fall in love with the Ares/Daken combo, Daken is going to be getting all my iso to get him maxed from this point on0 -

Congrats Loroku! I didn't think of scaling when I was leveling up any 2* as soon as I gained a cover and had the ISO until recently. The events scaling up so quickly has discouraged me from leveling up anyone else on my roster until I get them close to fully covered. Now I'm just going to have to build my 2* roster up after succumbing to throwing actual money at my roster size by purchasing HP.0 -

Trisul wrote:'Tis a good idea. I'm a big proponent of the "deepen your 2* roster" strategy, as opposed to trying to save up 3*s too early.
Unfortunately I started saving up 3* when I was starting to transition to 2*. Most likely made things more difficult for these events without me even realizing it and causing me to think that the game was grossly unfair to players just starting out especially if they were F2P.0 -
Decided on a last run through some nodes before bed. Picked up a standard token, cashed it in and... Blue Hood! Kneel before my 0-3-0 Hood!0

Tried to coordinate with my alliance to get put in a new bracket for the event. Sharding put me in a bracket with leaders at the 58,000-ish mark. A full clear of Thunderbolts Mountain with the current rubberband gives me just over 18,000 points. Top tier prizes have been sharded out of my reach.
