Unbuffed I have a gauge on how much health I actually need to go into a match. Now I'll have no earthly concept. Should be fun.

Kinda wish I had kept Venom and mBW now. At least I can use 3 bleepin characters in a PvP finally.

    Jungle is EXTREMELY broken now.

100 hit points is squat when you've got this much buffing.

Played a couple rounds with Jugs, Tiny Daken, OBW and it was a fun time. Is Jugs the best defensive character in this tourney now? 22K HP and 6K damage for 6 red? I'd skip that.

This tourney makes me regret selling my 1* and 2*.

Devs should regularly thrown in a random tourney like this once a week. It breathes some much need variety into the events.

I feel like bp obw juggs is going to be the best defensive team: you got the color rainbow, and no color overlap from recon, headbutt, crash, rage of the panther. Bp is probably better than daken due to the threat of black.

I just want to say kudos to the devs for this event. This is something new and should definitely be a lot of fun.

Which characters to use? Juggs seems obvious. Ares is equally awesome. OBW could really shine. Pun's retribution sounds useful against 22k HP. You can never go wrong with Daken (or LDaken). MStorm? CStorm? So many options. Looking forward to this.

This event is a total goat rodeo and I'm loving it so far.

I haven't been able to have this much fun with a random assortment of characters in months.

Of all the 'experimental' types of games they could have run, they've picked an incredibly lame one. But hey, it's friendly to new players, so it seems to be in line with the current strategy for MPQ.

I'm glad I don't need Psylocke. I'll put in a token effort for my alliance and that's it.

I feel like the only thing 90% of your alliance does is **** and moan.

Most of my alliance is rooted in 3* land and we're all thrilled because now we get to use all the old characters that have been sitting on our bench for ages. I would love PvPs like this to happen more often. At the very least, it's been active for 45 minutes - maybe give it at least an hour before you whine about it, eh?

This event feels more like a 1-2-3 event people talk about, because here's how you'd build your team:

1* - Modern Storm or Juggernaut, having both is redundant and the rest don't have good skills despite their overpowering base stats
    2* - OBW
3* - Some kind of specialist to deal with the 1* and 2* you might face.

Note that in this environment, someone like Ares will chew up most of the 3* counterparts, but Ares will still easily lose to Juggernaut.

It's an interesting event because first of all it lets you use a third char. Damage and defense potentials are not clear because of the huge buffs. Still though it seems that chars which sucked still do compared to better chars who are also buffed to the same level. It is a good opportunity to look for new teams that weren't possible before though. I've played against a maxed Daken, Bullseye, MStorm team last. Luckily I have a black cover Loki. However, it was actually Ares' humongous damage potential what win me the match.

The only thing that could have made this any more ridiculous would have been an ISO-8 and Hero Points sale.

    Good: something new finally

Bad: the devs demonstrated again how far they are from the game. icon_e_sad.gif How hard it would have been to go for actual balance or just not tipping the boat completely? Like same setup but 1*s go to 200 2*s to 230 3*s to 270. Or even better tuned numbers that still make the flip but not insanely.

I'm used to them being LAZY as hell so can't even wonder someone putting a full hour going through each characer and find a good buff percent individually....

More good: not interesting prizes so can just rumble with different teams and try stuff out.

I really hope when I enter I can see at least some teams without 270 jugs as I'm sure the fun will evaporate on fighting the 4th specimen.

I really like this event. I'm seeing a lot more team variety in my opponents than usual.

To be fair, part of this is probably that people are figuring out which teams work well, but it's still a good change of pace. For instance, I've seen some people using 1* Iron Man, which is interesting for a character that's been basically defunct for such a long time. He's probably not optimal, but he brings an interesting combination of colors and isn't hamstrung by his low level cap.

I'd like to see this become a recurring event, possibly with some fine-tuning to the scaling of 1* and 2* characters at higher levels.

It's just a 2 days event. It's not a big deal as it does not count for the season.

It's probably a test, and I'm sure it will be successful. I haven't started yet, but I'm sure it will be funny. icon_e_smile.gif

There is also city, pretty amusing to get a 50 heal from a hot dog when you are down 10,000

I listed the base stats for the 1/2/3*s in another thread and they actually have similar HP for the same class and identical match damage for 1/2s. Ability damage I have no idea how they scaled. It used to be the case that 3*s have better stats but usually inferior abilities but in this event it's the other way around. The 1/2s with crazy abilities (OBW/Storm/Jugg) still have them but now they have more base stats too. Some 3*s are still decent for their special abilities, but even someone like Thor doesn't match up well against Juggernaut on a 1on1 basis.
