My Hulk goes from 1HP to Max in just three hours. I get 800 points in PVP, shield, then after everyone heals back up normally get another 400 and shield. I don't have to prologue heal. I can literally zerg rush battles.
No, you're not the only one, but if you didn't have Hulk, it might be a different story.0 -
Marvel has its' own version of Supes... Hyperion.0

To add my voice to the chorus, the true healing change has completely ruined my experience with the game, particularly on the pvp side. This game is now play 2-3 matches then forget about the game for a couple hours. While the old prologue healing mechanic was stupid, it at least allowed us to keep playing based on our OWN play time availability instead of when the game says we can play. This is not the way this should have been handled, and it needs to be fixed pretty much immediately or I'm done.0

As others have said, the "no more healthpacks have been sold" could simply be that people have left the game in numbers and many that are left are buying more healhtpacks so they can, y'know, play the game how and when they want to.
I have absolutely no statistical evidence to back this up, other than I am getting attacked way less in PVP than a short time ago, and I can leave PVE for 8 hours and when I come back I have moved down 10-20 places, rather than the normal 80-100.
Figures can be spun anyway people want though I guess. I do know that I am having less fun.0 -
I know this will make no difference in how the developers will view their game and their need to be Godtype controllers that micromanage everything we as players do, but I just want to vent a little.
This game was a blast until the "true healing" nerf came along. I spent a lot of money, so much that I'm embarrassed to type the total amount and guess what, I didn't mind spending that money as long as I could play the game the way I wanted. I wanted all the covers and roster slots and every new character coming out, I'd buy shields and healthpacks at the end of events so I could maintain my positioning, now I can't even get a good position to maintain, so why bother. I wanted to level them all, but I wanted to do it at my pace and if that was made easier by prologue healing then, yes, I dabbled in it...on a daily basis! Who cares, I was still spending the money to play how I wanted, now I barely even touch PVP and PVE locks out most of my leveled characters that it's no fun to try to particpate. I'm not spending money to level up, I'm actually not spending another dime on this game, I know this will only be look at by other disgruntled gamers, who may or may not, nod their heads in agreement and eventually will disappear along with most of the other posts that call out the devs for what the healing update actually was. I know it's my own fault for putting faith into some people that are just looking to line their pockets, but I had played for 3 months before I understood fully that they will change the game to their liking no matter the outcry, even from those who've played it from the very beginning. They will change and change and change until everyone quits or they nerf it so badly that you won't be able to recognize it as the same game it started out as. It's a shame, my money wasted either way, but when I wasted it, it wasn't for this ****. It was for the way the game was, a product that I should've know would evolve into something any F2P developer wants and that's a cash cow. Sure, new people will dig the game, people that have never known the healing powers of OBW and Spidey, but those of us that know will always remember the good ole days. I still play casually, just to kill my team and use all 5 health packs. I no longer play to win anything, because my wallet can't afford to try to keep up.0 -

Well, no. He's an arrogant **** with a Mohawk and no qualms about killing people to defend his people.
Back to TH. When I feel the need to grind out a few hours, this is no longer my go-to game, because I simply can't. It's gone from a game that caused the itch and the means to scratch it to an extremely good looking match-three game with a license I love.
Come on, d3, roll this **** back. Not only have I spent real cash here, I've brought in 20+ people who did the same, and they're starting to fade off.
By the way, the App Store reviews are brutal. I wouldn't try this game if it with these reviews today.0 -
Oh I can play, just not as efficiently as I used to...I don't see how anybody could0
-
It fits more into my current style of play, which is 30 minutes - 1 hour few times a day rather than few hours in one go. Sometimes I even play the odd 2-3 matches then put down the tablet and continue to do work. For me the game has become more casual again.0

Whether your intentions were "good" or not. The community hates the True Healing change.
Your reviews on iTunes are scathing to say the least.
It's not to late to turn back
Quick, release Superman to fly around the earth really really fast, reversing time to prevent the True Healing patch... oh wait, Superman isn't a Marvel character.... WE'RE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED (MD)!
It's like you haven't heard of Days of Future Past
or Bishop
or Cable
or Bastion
..ok Bastion probably wouldn't help.0 -
One week later and PVE is still grinders delight. now just a slow grind. and its only gonna get worse when a real pve comes along with full rosters. I guess Your now supposed to strategically grind nodes. as intended.0

Is it incorrect to think casual players aren't looking to upgrade their roster or that they shouldn't be upset whenever they don't receive the better rewards compared to the hardcore gamer? I feel this even playing field the devs are shooting for just makes the hardcore player pay that much more, while the casual sees no change in how they go about enjoying the game. In the end, the true healing idea just reeks of pocket lining. Where, in the past, one could play for hours, but now has to succumb to either setting the game aside or buy health packs to continue. It's like a drug dealer. Here try this for free! Get hooked. Now what was once a "friend" giving you a hit now and then has turned into you paying for your next tweak. I don't know about the rest of you, but my withdrawals are going to subside and ultimately will be replaced by a new drug, in this case another addictive app that will make me forget how much I used to enjoy this one.0

one thing i noticed is that my net gain in iso has been nerfed since true healing. i can't just play random matches as much as i want either through pvp or grinding down node as much as i could if continually playing was possible. so hence not enough matches played; means gaining iso from winning matches and covers go down also. so i guess that is why they want to sell people bonus iso. and you still believe this is for roster diversity?????0

Roster diversity is a really important part of the MPQ business model. The more characters we use, the more we spend on covers, Iso and roster spots. It could also be pretty awesome for players, as we get to play around with more of our favourite characters from the Marvel U. But that diversity has to start with engaging, fun and well designed characters, not this "true healing" bullsh!t.0 -
maybe I became blind, and as my eyes cannot be truly healed any more, I am wondering:
I have not seen any feedback of the developers in this trend (or at least since things start to burn). So again, do they care about what we a writing or this is just their amusement park to drink some coffee when they arrive to work?
more days playing and my feeling is that I am playing like a coward, hoping nodes to find someone that I would not die and playing pve with all possible adds, as if OBW dies, then it is extremly difficult to win any of the nodes. DD traps can be disarmed with a simple wind blow. And if you do not have she-reck (as the last pve finished at an amazing time to me), then you have two chances: either you play like an old grandmother trying to cross the street, looking thousand times to both sides and go slowly or you go to the bank, get a loan and buy HP and ISO untill there is no number left to be filled. I like neither of them.
As time passes, it is more and more obvious that they just do not care about what we are saying. They knew we would be mad about it, but they should be ready for discussion, which they are not.
True healing should at least respect the fact that spidey, OBW and she-reck should be able to heal properly themselves. This could be a compromise, as I hardly doubt that they are going back with this decision, so it would be a solution in the middle of the way and more coherent with their concept.
I hope some of the developers would answer this0 -
Unfortunately, that is not how they operate.
They are no where near as interested in what we say as they are in their metrics. Our words are like a whispering wind and their numbers are a screaming banshee.
The only way they will change "True Effing Healing" is if their numbers indicate that the outcome is different from and generates less revenue than their expectations. Then and only then will they make a change.
That is why they don't communicate very much. They don't trust or value our opinion and input very highly.
The metrics are their god, their manna and the **** at which they suckle.0 -

Not for a tiny bit. What did you think really?biomarvel wrote:As time passes, it is more and more obvious that they just do not care about what we are saying. They knew we would be mad about it, but they should be ready for discussion, which they are not.
You talk about thread title? It just meant as WE can babble about it between ourselves. The stuff was already planned, implemented and just waiting the activation. Same with many other changes, see Spiderman nerf for example.
As they are doing it unchanged regardless words there is really nothing to discuss with them, the corrective action would be just to name the thread in less misleading way.biomarvel wrote:True healing should at least respect the fact that spidey, OBW and she-reck should be able to heal properly themselves.
Sure they should but the idea was exactly to nerf them even in this and screw over their use and users.
A benign and user-friendly change would not look anything like what is going on with the game so why people keep pretending like it was some minor overlook?0 -
Clocked in 8 days of playing since the huge nerf bat swung its ugly, oversized, foam head, and I have to say that playing MPQ is getting VERY frustrating. Half the time, I log in and try to play a couple of PVP matches but get stopped after 1 match because I lose 1-3 characters.
The last punisher event - when punisher dies, it takes 50 minutes for him just to not be dead anymore. ****? Apparently that's the same for all 3 and 4 star covers?? I went into a LR and messed around with x-wolv and some other base 3 ***s to test, and they're all down for 50 minutes after I died and lost to a lower leveled team. Great. How am I supposed to transition from ** to *** with this ****?
The PVE events have been slightly easier until the last 16-20 hours when my MMR becomes so high that my l125 OBW is outranked by 20 levels on each opponent...
I refuse to use health packs to continue on except when it's near the very end of an event and I get a bad board. I refuse to buy any health packs, ever. I refuse to pay another cent to D3P for this game until it is much less frustrating for me to play.0
