In pvp for the most part you can control your placement. In pve cause of rubber banding it's a **** shoot0

I haven't played the game for about two days and I'm not planning to load it up any time soon. Not because of PvE healing is gone but because PvP healing is also gone with it. Not that I was playing too much PvP but I decided I don't wanna put up with the **** changes anymore and my time is spent better somewhere else.0

Hey, I am not that stupid, I know that OBW is locked when GSBW is must in roster. What I am saying is, that there's way much less THOR/ARES combo (accompanied with GSBW) and therefore bigger variety of foes... It almost never happened to me that I encountered maxed Bullseye or Moonstone or similar character standing against me in PVP. Today I met them few times already... Is it because of the heal nerf?0 -

HUH? I recall the shields intro, most brain-using players figured out in matter of hours that it is good economy to use them. And just carried on -- returning to the problem only when prices got doubled.
I'm sure people would be all too happy to spend 100HP in pve to ensure 2-3 *** covers if such spend was possible actually. TMK it doesn't. Those who relied on 2 hour intensive play sessions would need not 1 health pack now but a few dozens probably. Per session. And you need a count of sessions for the full event.0 -
However, in Events, we continually buff different characters, and outside of Heroics, still allow for characters to be used that aren't buffed. What we want players to do is to play with the breadth of their roster instead of using Spider-Man or Black Widow as necessary crutches and only building 3 other characters. This change is intended to result in exactly this as players see that they can't just rely on in-battle healing and look for other ways besides spending Health Packs to continue playing. We want you to keep playing on your own schedule. We want you to play with multiple characters. Doing so keeps players on their toes and making them think of character combinations that they wouldn't otherwise go with if they weren't forced out of their single set of heroes.
I am surprised they didn't come with hero use limitation:-))
For example - you can use OBW / Spidey only for 5 matches/24 hours:-)))

I think there will be a brief period of people tinkering with their rosters followed by a new normal, which will probably focus on 3 areas:
1) Regenerators
2) Speed kills
3) Defense tiles
I'm guessing that - once things settle down, the new normal will feature about the same level of variety as the before, and maybe less. ISO is simply too hard to get in large amounts for most people to suddenly start using a more diverse roster unless they already were doing it.0 -

Probably, but don't rush with judgement, it's early stage and you see the old equivalent of tank teams. Also restricted to low points. At higher points those teams will be dropped down to nothing in no time. So if you plan to go over 300...
And little above you'll see patch/daken teams almost exclusively.
A change like this requires time for the metagame to adjust -- then you're back with the usual non-diversity with whatever works best in the new environment. Enjoy the roar till it lasts.
Also I consider most of folks, old and new just laze out this event for good or use it for wild experiments, are you eager to get another DD cover? Wait for meaningful analysis for the next serious tournament with wanted prizes.0 -
I used to be able to play as much as I wanted. Sure it involved some grinding, but it was my choice. Now I can only play a few matches at a time and as a result I'm entering less events, and earning a lot less rewards.

Why, it never was "discussion" in the original sense just like the spiderman changes thread. And naturally it's going on, 2 days ago everyone made the predictions on what will happen, now can report how they came true.
Can you point a single forumer who thought even for a moment that D3 will not go ahead with this ****? It would be an iteresting poll to measure how much chance people think it gets rolled back within next month or seriously altered -- that may still be a double digit figure.0 -

Really? Where? I did several sessions in Simulator today, trying to get a sense of how this new system will work, and I'm still seeing the same line-ups I always see. Including OBW on most ** teams. Maybe if I did a systematic statistical study I'd see a slight uptick for various versions of Daken and Wolverine, but they have always been commonly-used characters anyway, so it's not much of a change.
In training you'll see the old teams for much time, probably till the end as most people will not use it anymore leaving their last team on def.0 -

We didn't see that. Which means that wasn't really their intent at all. Because at the current rate and prices ($) you are forced to a limited roster with wicked SLOW progression unless you are willing to drop hundreds of dollars. Cause $50 won't even fully level up a 2* Character. That is absurd.0 -

Now we can tell you: you won't be able to play more than 1 hour because we screwed up everything you liked. Thanks again for your purchase" ?
As I could not count on CS to handle refund, I asked Google via their interface for this. They made the refund in the next hours.
D3/demiurge, you can take back the HP, I didn't even had the time to spend it between the sales and this mess. Never again I will buy something from you games, as I will never know if I can play at my own pace the day after my purchase.0 -

100HP worth? Try 400 HP worth, and that's assuming you had the 5 to begin with.
What prologue was very useful for was the quick "I'm only 1500 HP down; it's not worth a health pack" runs. The loss of prologue healing means that you have to use health packs in borderline situations or wipe out more often; either situation drains health packs faster. I did prologue healing runs in the last ten minutes of PVEs to keep placement and had it work fine. Not frequently, but it was helpful knowing it was there, and that I had that option in a pinch if the match went south.0
