BTW who really cares that your roster heal 2x as fast.. As fast as what? If you have the cover maxed out, it still takes hours before they will heal from dead.. so chance is user will just use a heal pack on them.. so what the heck is the point of them healing a bit faster.. it don't even make any sense.0

That the pve ends 7am makes the experience even worse. So even if I manage to crawl my way to top 20, by the time it ends I will be left in the 50s+. Ans since I can't grind the missions until they are worth 50-100 because I don't have the heroes to do so, this is another ruined pve for me. I guess you can count on the devs to release a patch hours before an event ends.
Yep. Just tried the highest point node in hopes of climbing back into the rankings. Used the PVE buff to get it done more quickly. All going well, have enough for windstorm...and the enemy cascades like mad, three extra turns, and now I'm waiting for hours before Storm will be back to healthy so I can try again. Horray!
Thats the whole point.. I think now instead of people playing like mad on the game.. it will actually give them more time to get off the game and do something else.. . So we should all thanks for D3 for this change which create such a time saving opportunity for all players, so everyone could diversify on what they do in life instead of playing this stupid game.0 -
Well, this is some hot garbage. Any money I would have put into this will now go to Hearthstone. I will never buy health packs.
Beyond that, my only effective way to heal is to stop playing. Any game where your best option is to not play, you might as well just uninstall. I can then enjoy that time not playing with more free space on my device.0 -

D3 if you are smart, you will rethink your strategy very quickly and actually take into account your playerbase's opinions.
It better be real quick.
I've tested this quite a bit today, and it is terrible. I have no chance for advancement/placement. I have no choice on who/when/how to play.
I'll check for a couple of days for the appropriate response to their playerbase: roll-back time. If that doesn't happen, I'm out - and it looks like it won't be just me.
If they decide to roll back next month, it will be to late. Folks won't be checking in for a month to see if this was fixed, they'll be long gone.0 -
Spoit wrote:Have you even tried this before posting? You can't go above your maximum health with the fake health.
I am aware of this. It doesn't make my idea any less valid. Sure, your "shield" can't ever be more than yourMaxHP-yourCurrentHP, but a separate readout of it (more than the present transparent-orange-flashing-green overlay) would be helpful. In universe, say that it's "charging up your shields". The only flaws I can see are concerning screen real estate, and the fact that there are comparatively few healing abilities in the game (so the extra bar would go unused most of the time).Spoit wrote:And beelining for 12y/9b is a terrible idea anyway, since that basically guarantees that the enemy will get at least 1 extra power off, probably for more net damage
Exactly, which is why you've either got to constantly heal to the detriment of everything else (and come out of matches with more health), or forego healing entirely, jumping into the waiting arms of Doctor Health Pack.0 -
Question: For all of us who love the game, play it on a daily basis for hours, and suggest it as a FANTASTICALLY addictive time-sink to all our friends we recruit to come and play, enjoy, and get hooked on MPQ....
which of course will NOT be happening now I think...
for all of us that are about to take part in a MASSIVE exodus from MPQ, is there a way you can e-mail all of us letting us know when this enormous mistake has been acknowledged and corrected ?
I'm sure you'll win some of us back. But probably better to do it quickly before we forget how enjoyable the game was and have moved on to other more consumer/player friendly games that encourage us to KEEP playing, to invest our precious time and money, and support them because we know they support, listen, and care for us.0 -

Isn't it funny? The objective of any developer is to get more user to spend time on their software or games.. and yet D3 is doing the opposite and try to get people stop playing the game.. Just a little funny to me.
Like all the developer in the room sat down and ask "How we could prevent people to play the game as much as possible". The answer is "Don't let them heal, so they will not about to play as often as then can and this will stop them".... ****?0 -
As mentioned upthread, these farking morons seem to think that all this time we spend playing the game thanks to healing is "stealing" from them because health pack sales are infintesimal compared to packs, roster spots, covers, tournament entry fees, etc.
Problem is that, if we aren't playing much or feel like we're being punished for playing, we're not spending jack sh!t on ANY of this stuff.0 -

It goes with the (misguided) idea of diversifying your roster. The strategy is to not wait til guys are ground to zero any more.
Come out of a match with your A team at 60% (which you wouldn't/shouldn't use health packs on), switch to your 100% B team, A-team heals faster than it used to, so you recover some points during that time. Then B comes out, and you switch to the C team while A is still healing, as is B now. Then keep cycling, using health packs only when crippled.
Of course, at the 2* level, you only have a reliable A/B team for PVP (Ares/OBW and then Thorverine w/ or w/o Daken, the C team of CStorm and Mags gets murdered), so your cycle is much shorter than teams at the 3* level that can kill quicker, have more health, and have considerably more options for reliable teams. (not to mention Patch/LDaken who can heal themselves to 100%, something only lvl 69 Daken can do at 2* level)
Which is why the loudest complaints are coming from guys who have 2* rosters (plus the vets that have dumped time effort and money into a game that's chopping out its own legs)0 -
Of all the boneheaded nonsensical decisions made by the developers, this is by far among their dumbest.
The level of callous stupidity displayed by implementing such heinously unpopular changes borders on incompetent buffoonery.
Who keeps making these moronic decisions?
Why do they still have a job?0 -
If you are competing in a pvp, having anything less than your "A" team means you will be losing hundreds of points you earned. so diversity will be nill there. "True Healing" isn't about diverse rosters, it about how can we make "idiots" to buy more health packs. And i sir am not an idiot. and implementing it in a middle of an event, makes me wonder how many chromosomes you are missing and how many villiages are deprived of their "idiots" that are now developing games.0

Since their ability to put together a patch and launch it super fast is evident by the recent update, I would like to make a request. Hey devs, why don't you give us some tools so we can manage our alliances effectively. It's been almost 3 months and we still have to wait for support to listen to our requests. Is this how it's going to be in the near future? And by your standards, near future is the next 4-6 months. I have already sent 2 tickets in the last 2 days in support asking them to remove a member in our alliance who has been inactive for some time now and nothing has been done yet, which means we are going to miss the alliance reward in pve. Come on, make yourselves useful for once.0

and i see there is still no comment from any dev. I would like to think they are shell shocked but i bet they are making more changers to try and make more money0
-
Well, as someone with more money than I often know what to do with, this should really help. I have no problem buying health packs whenever my characters need it and I can imagine this will let me soar past most players in the rankings who will have to take breaks from playing whenever their characters are KO'd. That or I'll be facing a lot of people's bench characters while their main ones heal. Can't wait to see how fast my top 3 can win versus the inevitable Daredevil, Invisible Woman, X-Force teams people will be forced to field. Lol. This diversity idea and it's implementation are priceless. Thank you, thank you, thank you!0

They're [robably going "LALALA I'm not listening" at suggestions that this was a farking boneheaded move.0 -

I started a sign petition in the feedback forum.. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10421
I would suggest everyone please go there and use the thumb up and thumb down button to sign the petition and maybe D3 will finally do something and fix this change.0 -
On a more refreshing note. I finally had reason to lvl my CStorm up to 85 from 66 and am looking to get a 85 MNMags now. So there will be a bit more diversity to my games.0

Not necessarily true now (in theory, HPK will probably give more insight).
Daken is not an A-team member in the old world. But with him dropping strike tiles with every green, and healing not an option, how many are going to want to fight him on defense? And if you split it up so Ares's onslaught is on one, and Thor/Daken is the other, you can create enough defense that it'll be annoying to slog through them.
You're still going to get hit, but based on the offensive person's current health and packs in reserve, I bet more skipping on retaliations happens than it used to. (you're still tinykitty'd if a 3* team finds you of course, but that's true regardless of whether your A team is there or not)0 -

I've only won 4-5 matchups in Hollowpoint, and three of those were the initial weak nodes. So I've been sitting outside of the top 100, and haven't hit 150 points yet (since I have to wait for hours to try another matchup).
In between, I've skipped nodes to try to find easier matchups. What have I seen? Those A-B-C teams you mentioned (and only one copy of that C team), with the exception that it's a widow event so you can't use OBW. What I see is Thor/Ares/Wolvy matched together over and over, occasionally with a Daken thrown in. Haven't seen one Hawkeye. Haven't seen one Bullseye. Haven't seen one Bagman. Haven't seen one Cap. Have only seen one Moonstone, one Magneto, and two Storm.
This IS NOT giving diversity in matchups! This is just showing the 2*'s that your only chance is pay-to-win.0
