Character Creation Challenge: Quasar

More than one character has taken up the mantle of Quasar. Pick your favorite and design a powerhouse befitting of the name Quasar.

Everyone is encouraged to participate. Just follow 3 rules:

1. Stick to the character in the title. You may choose any depiction of that character whether it is a younger, older, alternate version, etc. 

2. Provide the character's rarity, name of each power, color, cost, and description. If you're feeling a bit more expressive, also provide the power differentiation at each level. Include as much or little detail as you desire, but providing more detail paints a better picture. I like to include all of the bells and whistles, but as long as the information is there and understandable, it is fine. As an example, I will begin the challenge with my own design.

3. You may utilize someone else's ideas, but give them credit. There are few unique ideas in the world so the chances that at least 2 people will think of having X character do a "thing" is high. Post your ideas freely. However, if you were inspired by something in another post, include it, but give credit to the inspiration for your idea.

    Match Damage: Low

     Cosmic Awareness 6  AP
    Quasar's consciousness expands to see events far away. Create a 4-turn Blue Countdown tile that prevents friendly AP from being changed or destroyed by an enemy power. When this tile expires, gain 1 random AP.
    (PASSIVE) If Quasar is stunned or airborne at the start of the turn, increase the strength of up to 3 friendly Strike, Attack, or Protect tiles by 110.
    (At level 255) 
    • Level 2: (PASSIVE) ...increase by 143
    • Level 3: (PASSIVE) ...increase by 185
    • Level 4: ...gain 2 random AP. (PASSIVE) ...increase by 240
    • Level 5: ...gain 3 random AP. (PASSIVE) ...increase by 310 

     Quantum Constructs 7  AP
    Quasar creates solidified energy constructs to aid her team in their efforts. Choose Strike or Protect. Create 2 fortified strength 45 tiles of the chosen type, plus 1 more for each ally still in the fight.
    (At level 255) 
    • Level 2: strength 57
    • Level 3: strength 75
    • Level 4: strength 93
    • Level 5: strength 120

     Total Decimation 8  AP
    Quasar generates a blast that obliterates enemy shields. Destroy a selected tile, dealing damage and destroying 1 enemy AP in its type. (Does not generate AP.) If the destroyed tile was a Protect tile, deal 1794 additional damage.
    (At level 255) 
    • Level 2: ...deal 1872 additional damage.
    • Level 3: ...deal 2171 additional damage.
    • Level 4: ...deal 2503 additional damage.
    • Level 5: ...deal 3497 additional damage.

    Ooh, looks like we both got the same idea to use her haha, but really, I love this idea. It would go well with a lot of your other movesets as well as existing ones that make use of a similar powrset, which means she would be easy to work with. I especially lik the passive for her Blue which would knock out most stun options in a special tile heavy match. Great work on her!

    Health: Low
    Match Damage: Moderate

     Quantum Bands 0  AP
    (PASSIVE) Avril absorbs incoming energy and converts it to her own use. When the enemy team makes a Yellow match, create a 3-turn Shield tile if there isn’t one already. Shield tile reduces incoming damage from enemy matches for each AP in that colour and stores a charge for each Red, Blue or Green match made. While this tile is on the board, Yellow matches do not generate AP and generate 1 AP in every other colour. This shield tile cannot be matched or destroyed.

    Friendly Red, Blue, Green and Yellow matches deal an additional 20% damage for each charge (to the max of 100%).
    (At level 70) 
    • Level 2: ...generates 2 AP in every other colour
    • Level 3: ...deal an additional 30% damage (to the max of 150%)
    • Level 4: ...generates 3 AP in every other colour...deal an additional 40% damage (to the max of 200%)
    • Level 5: ...generates 4 AP in every other colour...deal an additional 50% damage (to the max of 250%)

     New Quasar 9  AP
    Having taken possession of the Quantum Bands from the previous Quasar, Avril sought to use the powers of the bands for good. Create a 1-turn Repeater tile that converts a random yellow basic tile into a Charged tile of a random colour. Then, if there are more than five Charged tiles on the board, destroy them to grant all allies a burst of 270 health each and generate AP.

    (PASSIVE) If there are more than six Team-Up tiles on the board at the start of the turn, convert them to Yellow tiles. If there are less than six Team-Up tiles on the board at the start of the turn, grant all allies a burst of 90 health for each tile.
    (At level 70) 
    • Level 2: Grants 300 health per Charged tile or 150 health per Team-Up tile.
    • Level 3: Grants 330 health per Charged tile or 210 health per Team-Up tile.
    • Level 4: Grants 360 health per Charged tile or 270 health per Team-Up tile.
    • Level 5: Grants 390 health per Charged tile or 330 health per Team-Up tile.

     Quantum Leap  AP
    Quasar fires a stream of energy at the target, with the power of the Quantum Bands. Deals 2700 damage with an additional 90 damage for each Charged tile on the board and converts a random tile into a 3-turn Quantum tile that reduces enemy power levels in that colour by 1. This shield tile cannot be matched or destroyed.

    (PASSIVE) This power costs one less AP for each Charge stored in a Shield tile.
    (At level 70) 
    • Level 2: Deals 3500 damage.
    • Level 3: Quantum tile reduces enemy power levels by 2.
    • Level 4: Deals 4000 damage.
    • Level 5: Deals 4500 damage. Friendly matches in that colour increase the Countdown of Quantum tiles by 1 round.

    This one has three powers in one. 
    1. decreases enemy match damage
    2. AP generation
    3. increases friendly match damage
    The AP generation initially appears to be a drawback given how good the other two are, but it's not a problem on a yellow-less team.

    I like the use of charged tiles to gain health. This power gives her a bit of versatility for players. In addition, the passive power fuels her yellow power while introducing another creative way to increase health with team-up tiles.

    This one is meant to make her a powerhouse of a character. By herself, this can deal a lot of damage, but with another charged tile spammer, it's a bit overpowered. Nonetheless, I like it. You tied it back in with her yellow, too, by adding that passive cost reduction.
