You could still participate in some of the nodes though, like IW Spidey or Spider-Gwen nodes.

The team must be really busy if Lakestone has to post updates on behalf of them. I usually see him in the bugs section. How often does this happen?

You are just setting them up for a bigger fall, you do realise that right? If the team is "too busy" to even bother with updating their own Anniversary event in a reasonable timeframe or providing feedback then expectation levels are going to be super harsh for whatever comes next from a very disappointed fan base. I tend to err on the side of sympathy for the Dev's but not every situation can be swept under the rug with a cry of "Won't somebody think of the Dev's!!!". This Anniversary has been completely and utterly poor for various reasons. If you are saying that is because they are hard at work with something beyond the usual fare...well...good luck with that and look out for flying egg coming at your face.

I guess time will tell but it might be time to give your pom poms a rest until *some* kind of feedback as to why the game seems to have been shoved aside with a below par celebration and the loss of the community manager posting regularly...not that I expect any feedback to be honest.

Out of curiosity what other games have you playing daily or almost daily for 5+ years?

This is the only one for me. They must have been doing something right. My interest is slowing but that would be true of any game after 5 years. Edit: 2086 days or 5.71 years, insane.

No question at all that they have been doing things right in the past. It just feels different with this.

This is my 4th Anniversary with MPQ and it is, without any shadow of a doubt the only year that I have felt that there doesn't feel like much if any way of pride in the product being offered to us and that is a real shame. In years past we had disasters (I still fondly remember Boss Rush!) but I never got the sense that any of it was just being "phoned in" for want of a better phrase. I felt a lot of effort had been put in attempting to make the event special and engage the playerbase. Anything like this is always gonna be hit and miss, can't please'em all, etc but I don't question in any way the intent.

This feels different. I am sure effort was put in but when the Dev team who I have no doubt are busy have no desire to promote the event in anything but a very limited way, that seems very strange to me.

I still play Black Ops 2, lol but I'm just old and too slow for all the jumping around mechanics of the later games. Oh and it has the best Zombie maps (except Tranzit, that one is horrible!).

I'm playing for 13 months and i can say that this is the WORST ANNIVERSARY ever. There's absolutely no way that previous anniversaries were worse than this one. Congrats devs !

Sure, ive been around a LONG time, but a good game will do that.

However, theres a line. A threshold. To keep us going, keep the new and pretty stuff rolling in. Same old tricks wont keep.

I totally understand people (devs) being busy or overworked. I understand that they too have lives and families and whatnot. We all do (i hope).

But Since its been noted many times across many topics that this is one of the LONGEST running mobile games, ...shouldnt you try to maintain it? Unlike a car, replacing parts and yearly maintenance wont do. Instead, this beast needs new parts and new life breathed into it, and often!

On the surface, we're still playing match 3. Any vet - nay, any PLAYER - in these forums can tell you that its a lot more than that now. Its RNG-heavy card collecting. Its team building. Its shield-hopping and heavily dependant on time slices and top team metas. Theres a whole ton of info and gameplay you just dont get without earning your stripes the hard way.

So, it goes without saying that we, and this game, deserve new shiny content. And when the anniversary of it comes around (which is like a birthday celebration, really), you should celebrate it properly, giving out to the community who supported you for 6 years+.

I dont like to raise pitchforks and torches... I dont like to nay-say. And i wanna keep being that person updating the SHIELD Daily Login Rewards topic, because a part of me also enjoys the data-mining im supporting by doing it.

However, theres a line. A threshold.

I think it is pretty clear that fundamentally there have been changes to how the game is approached from a development side.

I don’t have the years some Vets do, but it is easy to see from all the major changes over the years that there was an evolution. New mechanics, new incentives, new rewards, changes for QOL that were substantial. To just point and say “They must be doing something right” is an oversimplification. They aren’t doing what they used to do, which is pay attention to the long term health of the game. All they care about (apparently) is squeezing the last bit of juice from this orange before they move on to bigger and better things. Not being clear and honest about that is terrible.

If I’m wrong and they are trying to keep the machine running as long as possible...then it is being managed poorly IMO. It’s become difficult to the point of near impossibility to start from the bottom and work up, it’s become boring and irrelevant to continue chasing the same carrot once you have “made it” to 5* land. Changes to the in game economy and fixing dilution is not something that should even be questionable, it should be priority number one of you want to keep the game around. Who cares if it takes two weeks and you lose a few bucks in the process if it buys you another six years of success?

The short sighted outlook makes me think they know something we don’t about longevity of the game.

So let me get this straight. You just put out another weekend deal for American Chavez under the Anniversary Special offer banner who happens to be a feeder.

So are are you telling us the only way that we will get feeders during the Anniversary event is to buy this package since AC feeders Jessica Jones? Cause this is sure has heck what this seems like.

In my mind I would have loved to see devil dino become a feeder, a special limited 4* event, like a bonus shield training requiring those characters, an innovative new event, the first 6* character, special 25% 5* draw rate from classics, and maybe a gift certificate for a free waffle cone from Baskin Robbins for dessert.
I think the Ant Man and Wasp celebration that was supposedly a direct result of learning from the infinity war fiasco gave us hope that they were listening and had "learned", but this doesnt seem terribly out of line, just very adequate.
The thing is, if you polled your significant other after your anniversary and they said it was adequate, you probably wouldn't be thinking "nailed it"!
My rhetorical question to the devs is, how would you rate this anniversary?

What’s worse is NOBODY from Demi or D3 is commenting or active here. To use the NYCC excuse is done and over. This has been the same schedule for every anniversary that I can remember and they say the same thing every year. This is why it would be smarter to release everything at one time of what is going to happen and not just a little at a time. Heck, move this event so everybody is in house for this time frame.

Does anybody from Demi or D3 want to comment?

Seriously, Nobody wants to comment? The void that you are giving us is deafening. I just don’t understand why you cannot come here to talk to the player base. In fact it was said one of the Dev team has left Discord too. Is this truly where we are now? All we are asking is for somebody that gets a pay check and is responsible for Demi or D3 to face the music and interact with the player base, and not talk about gosh darn pies (That’s why I cannot stand Discord at times). Nothing more and nothing less.

So please anything at all that any one of you would like to address or talk about with this lackluster, disappointing, will be worst ranked Anniversary event to date. Oh and BTW, this isn’t a few driving this bus with the negative reviews, check out Line or Discord or Facebook MPQ group pages, your OWN MPQ FB Page, Reddit etc. this isn’t just here, it’s all over.

There weren’t any obvious choices.

Like Rogue feeding Gambit for example. That’s not an obvious choice.
