My bad. Never really play trials...khurram said:
I see. Although TotP never gave 25 jewels so it's still the same. To be fair AX also originally used to give 20 jewels instead of 25.Aeroplane said:
In the july sneak peak edition reward changes. Sorry, I reposted it again in the correct thread. TG got a mana rune bump and the trials got the same AI chop.khurram said:
Where did you see thisAeroplane said:Well, there is the nerf to progression awards in Across Ixalan to counter the non-dupe elite pack. 2-6 from 3-7 pink gems. Not a bad trade off, though.
@Brigby you guys should be upfront about such changes in the pre-release notes. It takes just one sentence to state the reasoning behind it. But sneaking up the changes without prior intimation causes the kind of backlash that ruins everyones day.0 -
@khurram @Aeroplane
Apologies for the confusion. It would appear that I hadn't updated the reward charts from back when they previously increased rewards. For Platinum tier, Across Ixalan should still reward 3 - 7 Mana Jewels.

Cool, no worries.Brigby said:@khurram @Aeroplane

We will have to check the other cards that contain Flash in the regular game, to see if they have been updated as well.madwren said:
Indeed, I alluded to that above. However, two cards--I suppose three if you count Naru being retroactively changed--isn't really an effective testing environment, especially since two are mythics and not likely to be in wide circulation. It's simply an odd choice not to give flash to say, Naturalize or Abnormal Endurance--both instants that provide disparate effects, so that you could test creature removal, support removal, and creature buffing during combat without breaking the game.
From my count, there are 6 potential Flash cards in the next Standard that already exist in-game and could be updated:
Naru Meha (confirmed)
Seal Away
Raff Capashen
Merfolk Trickster
Garna
Dire Fleet Poisoner1 -
This update looks great, thanks for it.
I particularly like the effort made about land supports in order to balance them all together.
However, if i'm not confused, there are a few bugged cards that seem to have escaped the review (verix bladewing or legendary spells that don't count as historic for example). Is there any plan for those cards to be fixed in the future?

Dire Fleet PoisonerTrue, but their inclusion of Murder indicates that they aren't simply using cards with the Flash mechanic; they're looking for a way to replicate instant-speed effects in PQ. Thus, I picked two other instants with relevant but not game-breaking effects that would have been interesting inclusions both strategically and for testing purposes.1 -
Spotted this:
- Fixed an issue with the Masterpiece cards being missing, when viewing the Rivals of Ixalan booster pack's available cards in the Vault.

Say what?! Were masterpieces even lootable in regular RIX packs? I had no idea that this was a thing...Enygma6 said:Spotted this:- Fixed an issue with the Masterpiece cards being missing, when viewing the Rivals of Ixalan booster pack's available cards in the Vault.

They were not. I guess this is their way of saying that they will be now.Tilwin90 said:

wait, is there a projected release date set for this? I'm having a hard time finding it, but I also haven't had my coffee yet so my eyes are barely open-_-0

The way it is presented makes it sound like masterpieces were already dropping from RIX packs but that there was a "visual bug" when inspecting the package's possible drops.0 -
That was the answer that support gave when someone submitted a ticket about it but i have never encountered a player who said that they got a masterpiece from IXN or RIX boosters, to prove otherwise. We usually do encounter a few people across our several online communities who get an MP from regular boosters.Tilwin90 said:

Tuesday or Wednesday are likely. The first scheduled thing that requires the update is the standard format TG on Thursday. TG typically turns over (locally) at 8pm the prior day Eastern US timezone. West coast would be Wednesday at 5pm (I think that is D3 timezone?). Your personal timezone may vary.Szamsziel said:Not stated yet. Somewhen this week. Provided that everything goes according to plan, then I believe we are anticipating the update to go live sometime tomorrow.James13 said:

Vivien's Ult

Unless it's a typo on the image, the 3rd ability for Liliana, Untouched by Death (Restless Dead) is excessively limiting.
From what I can tell, there are only 2 Zombie creatures with cost of 7, and neither of them are in Standard.0 -
Wow those new walkers are amazing (except lil, shes kind of meh). I mean, Bolas is absolutely nuts. Just, nuts. And I can't believe they kept that Vivien's ultimate. That's going to be fun to use (thankfully the AI is still too stupid to use it against us)I'm curious how the new event nodes will work, though. @Brigby am I reading that correctly? Will those abilities ADD to your planeswalker's existing abilities? Or will they replace them? Its cool either way, but makes a huge difference.0
