No legacy cards in these boosters, mate. I started registering when they changed boosters with 3 cards each 8 hours to these free cards each 2 hours, same time they removed legacy cards from free cards. I registered around 30 of the called basic booster, no legacy cards.

You can't get legacy cards from the 3-packs since they changed the free boosters? I thought I saw someone say they did. Maybe they changed them a bit after the 1-packs, or I was thinking of the fact you can get Masterpieces.

When I checked the percentages on my 3-pack, it said I had a whole 0.10% chance of getting a masterpiece! I didn't think to take a screenshot though…

The reported odds in general might be accurate. If you convert the published odds from "chance of 1 or more" to "chance per card" they do add up to roughly 100% in each case. They're certainly different to historical drop rates in some cases though (see https://forums.d3go.com/discussion/70593/drop-rates-changes).

One striking result so far from the recorded XLN cards is a measured uncommon drop rate of 34%, which is significantly lower than the previous uncommon drop rate for all normal boosters (about 40%); it's further strong evidence of changed drop rates.

Thanks for all the ORI data. No idea when XLN will be added to free boosters, maybe next patch?

From the cards I pulled, it appears the drop rate for rares is substantially improved. It’s hard to tell, but the mythic drop rate may be a little better as well.

Turns out I forgot to account for guaranteed rares. No improvement after all.

Just want to register that I'm still noting free cards when I got a rare or a new card. I'm getting the same base (8-9 per day).

This Sunday I got a rare: Skyship Stalker, a dupe. This is the 3rd rare for February. Also got a new card: Durable Handicraft (KLD uncommon). And 2-3 days ago I also got Whirler Rogue (Origins uncommon).

February ended with 4 rares:

@Volrak, I'm going to share boosters data, but I also want to report that I got a normal Ixalan booster with 5 common cards. I have double checked. The relatory after opening showed 4 common cards converted, plus a new card, which was Crash the Ramparts. Are more things like this happening? Did someone report something like that? Should it be a bug?

I believe the possibility of getting all commons in a 5-pack was a universal change with the Ixalan update. Possibly due to the extra complication it would introduce to calculating the % chance of getting an uncommon in a pack. Volrak made a post that compared the new given rates to his data, chances for rare and mythic are higher, while chances for uncommons are lower, possibly because of this change.

Yep. A number of people have reported all-common 5-packs since version 2.4.

chances for uncommons are lower, possibly because of this change.

The removal of sympathy uncommons would have had some impact, but only in the order of about 1%. The currently published drop rates compared to the observed pre-2.4 drop rates have much more sweeping differences - uncommons are rarer and commons are more common by more like 10-15%.

I'm not going to be posting here for awhile, as I'm going to save my 3-packs until I can get Ixalan cards in them. However, this post isn't entirely meaningless, as I finally remembered to screenshot the 3-pack probabilities!

Just to add: 3rd and 4th rares for March came yesterday: Suppression Bonds (dupe) and Champion of Wits (dupe).

How's difficult to get a new rare! Shouldn't be so hard, I have 37/49 from Origins, 19/40 from Kaladesh, 6/18 from Aether Revolt, 28/40 from Amonkhet (putting effort to craft DH and Shefet), 28/40 from HOU. Sometimes I feel the RNG doesn't like me.

EDIT: I asked for it and it came. Got a new rare from free cards, Inferno Jet.

With 3 free rares in little more than 24 hours, this month reached 5, and is the month with more rares since, probably, November.
