  • Phone locked up a second time trying to start the game needing a battery pull to reboot it. Not impressed. Still a galaxy s3.

    This is absolutely not true. I just watched Ares knock himself out with Sunder, and I'm looking at his countdown tile still on the board.

    I've been having intermittent issues with my galaxy s3 locking up, too.

    Also, everything they do will always happen during an event; there's always events going on.

    I see your point, but to be fair, it's not like there is some kind of law requiring 24/7 events. The same company responsible for the updates also sets the event schedule.

    It would just be a minor effort in scheduling to put an event dead zone in the calendar (say, between seasons) and use this time for pushing out an update. Couple that with mandatory updates to play anything other than single player content, and you ensure every event is played on equal footing, for good or ill. Of course, all of this should be announced with a nontrivial lead time, so players know about the outage and the ramifications. Heck, considering the delays in getting rewards out last time, it gives a built in reason for the servers to take some downtime to process who gets what.

    Sadly, there wasn't, and probably never will be, a time between seasons.

    In any case, just pointing out it could be done with some basic project management, since all the relevant decisions would be internal to the company. Whether they chose/choose to do so is a whole other topic.

    Well, as IceIX noted before, the Sunder bug wasn't a priority because only a small percentage of the player base uses Ares on a regular basis.

    The fact that they put Ares in like every freaking tournament apparently wasn't considered.

    Before the update: manage to comfortably place top 40 by playing around 1 hour every 12 hours or so.
    After the update: Twice the effort and time (since the enemies were much more difficult) for less points (My best nodes used to cap at 2000, 1700 after update). Obviously, that meant that by the last hours, when everyone did their best, including people who had barely played before and now were reaping the benefits of the rescaling, it was an uphill battle to stay above top 100, every harrowing, health-pack wasting battle gaining me only 2-3 positions, despite getting thousands and thousands of points.

    Thanks D3! Your stealth rescaling costed me the Green cover that I had been working so hard through the week to get!
  • New issue with this patch. The current rank that it displays on the event screen is stagnant. You need to enter the event in question and check the leader board manually. then it will update.

    Came back to seeing I was 3rd in a lightning round I have not played in for an hour. Checked standings I was actually in the 400's. Then after leaving the event screen back to the event page it was showing the right rank. This is true for all events.

    Probably added to remove some of the load off the poor hamster. (Client not polling the server as much)

  • I'll toss another bug onto the pile....

    This is one is with Modern Hawkeye (since I used him seriously for the first time ever in this last event as well). When Hawkeye Avoids an attack and someone else takes the blow, if the attack is an ability and the character that moves to the front is downed from that ability, and the player's turn does not end from using that ability, then the downed character will stay as the front row target and absorb the next move completely (invulnerability) before correcting itself and moving a living opponent back to the front line.
  • Ive seen in that happen prepatch sadly but rarly face hawkeye for obvious reasons. Think I ran into it in the simulator.

    yeah it's an old bug, annoying because you may even waste AP sometimes against Hawkeye and not harm him.

    False. Just happened to me in LoT. Ares killed himself with Sunder and the countdown tile stayed for the two turns and hit me when it procced.

    I'm having the same issue with my galaxy s4
    Whenever I try to open the game for the 2nd time it locks my phone.
    The game doesn't close after playing it ,it's still open in the background, all of this **** after the last patch.

    MPQ updated to R55 on my iPad this morning (GMT/UTC +10), and I have had this Ares bug happen to me twice since then. Both times were in the PvE with Ares on the opposing team. He killed himself when using Sunder, yet the tile was placed and stayed anyway. The first match was almost over so the tile was irrelevant. I lost the 2nd match because of the bugged tile, instead of winning it like I was set to before the tile appeared (I was aiming for a win that would minimise scaling).

    I haven't played enough PvP to see if Ares still has this bug when part of my team, or if it's only when he's an opponent. But either way : PLEASE FIX THIS BUG.

    I sent in a ticket about the sunder bug on the 10th of June. After a couple of emails back and forth (they asked for my device details), I got the following response on the 16th of June :

    We are sorry for any confusion.

    We are thankful for the feedback you have submitted regarding Ares Sunder ability issue.
    This is a known issue in the current build of the game, but we are working to address it and have it fixed in a future update.

    So it looks like we can't expect a fix to this in the immediate future which sucks. On the upside, while it took CS 5 days to respond to my initial email, they moved quickly after that.
