I actually spent money on HP for covers. So yes, boohoo for me. But what I'm pissed about is the lack of information or news regards. That made me feel my decision making process wasn't based off of good information and that what I perceived to be a good investment just raked me over the coals. I'm sorry D3/Marvel, really bad business practice. really really bad business practice.
I agree. I spent money on Rag as I wanted to be competitive. I don't have an upgraded Magneto or Spiderman so now I'm not.
I'll see how it goes but I'll probably take this as my cue to spend my time (and certainly money) elsewhere.0 -

Frankly I'm shocked it took this long lol. I think it's a good change. It makes rounds longer and finally adds some strategy to the game . I run, ran, 115 rags for the last 2 months and I have no regrets . Now devs, about classic magneto......
You make it sound like the community asking for a rag nerf was a bad thing. I'm pretty sure no one disputes that rag was severely overpowered before the nerf, we're just angry that they turned an overpowered character to an unplayable character that is worse than its 2* equivalent.
I don't think it's a bad thing because this game needs variety and this will make a difference. I'm sure some of these people complaing that rags is "broken" now are some of the same people who complained about him when they didn't have them. I think it's hilarious. And then to expect D3 to give players a warning that they're about to nerf rags, said by other people not you, is even more hilarious. D3 does not care about their player base, they are a business. It's apparent that they, or at least IceX, cared or tried to care at some point but realized the truth...you can't please everyone. The people who don't have rags are pleased now and that's the majority of players including everyone who starts playing from this day forward. It was smart of them to nerf him. Now rags won't scare away casual players.0 -
Glad I grinded out 2 lightning round top8s and dumped my entire iso cache to get him to 90 in the last two days to use him for approximately half a day0

I only purchased HP not very long ago. I wanted to support the game and felt at the time that was a good investment. I'm having huge buyers remorse now. I sent a ticket in to see if something can be done. They will either treat this as a transaction from a grocery store where you buy a bag of apples...find out half is rotten...and refund you your money or replace the bag...or treat this like the stock market and that once you buy you cannot be sure if the hero will stay the same, get better/worse and you are stuck with it. I'm hoping its the first and they will honor the business transaction because I feel rather cheated out of money and I will take my business elsewhere if the case. (pity, i like the community and game but not enough to continue)0 -
Rag is done now, i just regret investing the money to put him to 5 Red and the iso for 115 levels, hes absolutely useless now. Hes gone from strong to useless.
EDIT: I wont invest anymore cents into this game from now on.0 -

I did something similar as well. This feels almost wrong as in cheated out of a product you bought with certain expectations and finding out its different. I sent in a ticket to see if anything can be done but I would suggest if you feel cheated as well to take it as a good lesson and put your money elsewhere.0 -

I find the lack of willingness to discuss changes of this sort with the community...disheartening. I think they should have come to the forums weeks ago and said, "hey, this is horribly broken" and solicited some feedback.
I said this in my email about paying for 8 of his covers. Why not tell me "careful, don't spend that on rag just yet"
We pretty much all saw this coming...just not to this extent. I havent spent money on the game but seriously doubt I will even though I had a gift card from Xmas I earmarked for a dev thank you. If they had just made him slightly less useful (3AP+5 greens or 2AP+3 greens) I wouldnt be as wary of the devs. Im too skittish now to put anything towards the game.0 -

Hmm yeah he's pretty garbage and hits like a girl now. Time to see more thors0 -
They should offer some sort of compensation for people that spent real $ on Rag.
Disclaimer: My Rag is 1/0, no red0 -
Watch them release a 3* thor that plays like old ragnarok now, but his covers will be extremely rare0

I wouldn't be surprised to see Thor, Wolverine, and Spidey also lose their cost reduction on skill levelups.0 -
His "too much info, yelled at by pr for giving company secrets" comment of rag's old red being worth 12 ap is pretty telling. That means they think damage/board control it should be worth this. Personally though I have a theory that they are going to make this a habit and as soon as enough ppl get a certain seemingly op character they nerf them forcing ppl.to get a NEW character they have to spend time or money on. It's a money grab. That's how I see it. Afterall, nobody would be stupid enough to nerf it this bad unless: 1. He gets a new ability or 2. They are going on a nerf spree to make everyone not as good...which still falls in to the "make new guys better than old to sell product.".
For that reason, brining in newer/better, they had to nerf rag. Making his red worse than thor unless they give him a good 3rd ability seems a bit crazy.
Expected nerfs: mag purple cost increased to around 13 (blue isn't that off..its strong due to matching into itself..so I could see it being rolled to 6 or 7..but its really not necessary as the ai can't use it at all properly), spidey blue dropped to 5 but increased stun time to 2, wolverine green turned into a 5 ap move, thor basically totally changed, obw tile double dip removed via black...
Unlike rag, I think mag and spidey could service nerfs of that magnitude...which means it will cost 17 purple, spidey blue just takes 5 blue, obw specifically cannot get strike tiles added to any of her attacks.
U seriously expect a wolverine nerf though. Between the "5 ap lowest" comment electro made, wolverine's strength, and a new3*** supposedly I expect that patch ...o that's the wolverine's name too huh..lol.0 -

People need to stop thinking about this as a "Rags was OP and now he isn't so thats good for the game." and think more along the lines of "Rags was OP, and now he's near strictly worse than Thor and probably unplayable". Having powerful 3* characters is good for the game as it gives people more goals to reach and strive for: Rag didn't deserve to be nerfed this badly.0 -
i'm more annoyed at the random hp reward change in shields (considering I was about to push for it) and the absolute lack of dev commentary without iceix.
electroblast posting nerf news isn't dev commentary, there's no REASONING behind the several changes made in the game, which is the worst part. If a reasoning was given and an argument backed, then fine, we'll deal with it. but ZERO DEV RESPONSE is just damning to me.
edit: and seriously, the more i think about it <900 damage thunderclap for a level 115 ragnarok for 6 red ap, 4 green generation, compared to a >1000 6 red ap level 85 thor, 5 yellow generation.
so you have ur 3 star ragnarok at a higher level doing less damage and less tile generation compared to a 2 star thor at a lower level.
this flat out is just absolutely terrible and if we don't have a developer post explaining why these changes were made, I will be packing my bags and leaving a game i've religiously follow for the past 3 months behind.0 -
Saved up hero points to buy thunderclap. Sent on a ticket. I'm not sure how the customer service is here, but spent them hours before the Nerf so I'm hoping for a refund.0
-
Just spent hero points on thunderclap hours before Nerf. Sent email to support and hoping for a refund. I'm never spending another penny on this game of they won't give me a refund based solely on the recency of purchase.0
-
I honestly think Loki is better than Rag now. Rarer color powers, cheaper board reshuffler.0
-
Yeah the complete lack of any dev commentary anywhere isn't anywhere near the level of support I expect from a game dev0
