There's a bunch of randomness in here but the choices are all sorta ok -- sometimes these have an effect that's really good and some other terrible ones but these all seem fine.

I assume from the description that a CD "activating" means "hitting 0." It'd be a lot stronger if the tiles did a thing every time they ticked, but that might be too much.

His AP costs are a bit high (8/7/8 is, like, infinity at this point lol) and he really wants to spam those CD tiles.

He seems ok. I'd probably run him in CD tile teams to start.

Seems like 3 star is better based on AP cost alone. The stun passive also only takes 1 tile instead of 2. Seems like all new 5s are mediocre

Until they are ascended to 5, then that stun avoidance could cost 5 tiles

Agree those prices seem a little steep. Some seemingly fun mechanics happening here, but hard to say how often they will do what you want.

All I can see now is anoooother character who needs to be in front (likely good with Darkveil, but who isn't). At least it's not burst heal?

Why no feeder info? Is it really not decided yet?

They mentioned in previous posts that they will no longer be giving feeder info until after the character is released. Is it possible this one isn't 4star Nova?

I haven't played this game in nearly a year but at a glance this 5* looks very bad

Not another RNG shenanigan powers... i bet good money that when AI uses it, it will ALWAYS activate team damage. So not a fan of RNG stuff...

Not a fan of the continued use of character-specific tiles, although them being CDs creates some interaction possibilities.

I do appreciate an attempt to make CD creation passive, and you get a benefit to keeping them, AND can get a benefit from the ones that are destroyed vs just watching your stuff disappear and do nothing.

I got excited for a minute about CD spam but realized it's once a turn max on the passive.

One assumes Richard will feed Sam will feed Tanak, but since they made that error with the feeder for... what was it, Kaine? They've been gun-shy about publishing feeders.

He seems interesting and a good tank, but kind of cumbersome. I'm thinking low on the use-when-boosted tier.

Seems decent enough, but would've preferred him without all the randomness, and attack tiles lol. I think Doom is the only character who dealt with fists that I thought "hey, that could actually work!" (more so if ascended.)

I also wish there weren't so many 5s that had their own unique kind of stuff (shrapnel) and other people could work with it too. Kind of like swarm tiles, but good.

Sharpnel is so bad. It can be overwritten by your own SAP tiles. I prefer countdown tiles, at least you can build a decent team around them.

Seems like a fun character. I might go 5/3/5 since you actually want his Yellow countdowns to be on the board as fuel for his Black (both active and passive). Although, since you need his Yellow shenanigans to help Red and Black hit their full potential, you might as well just use Apocalypse. At least if you pair with him with Jane, you actually benefit from Jane destroying his countdowns. He feels a bit similar to Phyla-Vell, another red-black-yellow countdown-gimmick character, although Tanak is better with Jane, and Phyla is better with Hawkeye/Coulson/Kang.

I just wish Richard Ryder were the 5 instead. I've always wanted him in the game ever since 4* Sam Alexander was introduced. Yes I know we have ascension, but not having RR as the 5 feels like not having Max Dillon as a 5* Electro.

Sorry but how is he better with Jane when she's going to destroy his tiles before they go off?

His black does more damage/healing based on how many of his CDs have been destroyed. Doesn't seem to have a cap like Jane's red.

Ok but if you destroy all of the cds all the time his red and yellow are essentially useless?

Pretty much. If you have Jane on your team you're better off firing her red and yellow as they do more damage and cascades. He's only there for black.

The only question is at max level they both have the same red match damage so who is tanking that?

“There’s no cap to how many turns he can take damage in and use 8ap to score bonus damage based in destroyed ap” is not a strong argument in a game where your goal is matches that end as quickly as possible.

I do realize he has aoe so he could deal in an interesting way with invisible characters…

Need some black ap supports for heroes or pair with a villain?

Still not seeing a strong compelling case over existing characters.
