    Here is an idea. If you are ascending a non feeder 4* have a warning pop up that you will lose all retro rewards moving forward and an agreement button. Honestly, it’s ridiculous not to give them in the first place (at least six covers). I’m going to start getting “angry” when someone wins a reward over me but doesn’t spend anything on the game and sustains off the welfare of those of us who do.

    If the "salty" is aimed at me then I am cracking up at how all of this unfolding, I think it is amazing that the Devs went to the trouble of coming up with a policy that they even couldn't enforce or refuse to enforce leading to the question why even make the policy in the first place and then why use the most inefficient method of resolving it in the most illogical way possible that now makes it virtually impossible to ever enforce the policy ever again! It is like a Dr. Evil plan!

    I couldn't care less who does or doesn't get covers, lol!

    This whole thing is hilarious!

    Edit: Oh and just for the record - Google Play tells me I have made 12 purchases for MPQ in the year from December 2022 to now - I was quite surprised to see I hadn't actually bought anything in December but I suspect Christmas will rectify that.

    I'm sure the 12 covers is a matter of expedience - they set up some kind of script for the CSR to run when they get the ticket, this way all the CSR needs to do is to verify the player has an ascended Nico.

    Another example of the Rich getting Richer… 6 retro covers made sense to me. 12.5 to anyone with an ascended Nico is just frustrating.

    The funniest part about the “Karen” comments are that they feel like a projection. Meaning the people accusing players of whining to get their way are actually the ones making fun of the developers, calling out other players for crying and complaining, getting upset, and having generally salty disposition.

    Whereas the so-called Karens (eg people benefitting from the devs’ generosity) have been pretty reasonable on the whole. I’ve seen a lot of questioning of the policy itself which is fair and I think I fall in that camp. But I understand that there’s no easy way to do this from a tech standpoint (yet anyway), but hope they can figure out. Because I do believe it’s a choice players who have invested a great deal into the characters shouldn’t have to make (ascend or lose covers). That said, I’ve mostly seen people who ascended early being pretty reasonable. I think I saw one person threaten to stop spending, which I mean… good for them? That’s their right as a consumer. Those edge cases are hardly pitchfork territory. I’ve seen (and led the charge tbh) much worse.

    C'mon guys stop being coy - I am the one who has been saying the "Karen" word but i even qualified as "mild" because that is what it has been and I hold my hands up - I am totally laughing about this, No need to take any offence though, it is just a bit of joshing. I hope it can be seen that my main pisstaking is aimed squarely at the Devs for the clubhanded way they have managed to turn this into a debacle.

    Not sure how or why anybody can be salty about this - if you got something for free then good for you and if you got nothing because you were entitled to nothing then there can't really be an issue. Surely though the fact that the Devs policy of no covers nuh uh is now resulting in a return to players of 12.5 covers must go down as one of the most amazing own goals in the history of this game! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

    Who knows? All I know is punishing people for advancing their roster as the game encourages you to do is not fair. Timing shouldn't factor into rewards.

    Isn't that just the history of MPQ though? It is why we have softcappers, why levelling a 5* that a game let's you do with a single cover unlike any other tier can screw PvP for new players when it should reward them and why some characters are worse when boosted.

    It might be stupid and counter productive but it isn't exactly new.

    I honestly think that softcapping is in fact a symptom of a problem. On the bright side PVE used to be so much worse than it is. At least now it scales by SCL rather than by Roster. Honestly, if PVP did the same that would eliminate the problem entirely, but I suppose it's a bit late to change that.

    @S0kun I have an open in game CS ticket from early November that has never been responded to or closed. It looks like I can not open a second ticket, so I could only add my 5* Hunter covers request to the end of my currently open ticket. Will this work, or is the a way to get the previous ticket closed?

    Probably should have been mentioned in the formal announcement, but you have to request an equal cover distribution in the CS ticket.
