You get the ‘Ascend’ option when an ascendable character is champ-maxed, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have the other champ needed to ascend.

so far day 23 My base 1 ascended to 5 stars IM model 35 is 484 lvl, 34 lvls in 23 days. Fastest climb of a 5 stars Ive seen ever in that amount of time. My base 1 ascended to 5 stars Storm modern is 467 lvl.

I was really hoping we’d get the second batch when new characters rotated in for the new season. I haven’t been opening tokens, and have been doing a lot of hoarding. Not so much fun for anniversary. I get it is a first world problem. But I already have a couple dupe champ 4s and 4 maxed 3s. Rather than apply new covers to a third and fifth copy of those characters, respectively, I would rather apply them to the ascended version. So, I’m just waiting.

I had hoped the fixing of the double/triple/quadruple dipping on the rewards would not take over a month, but here we are.

Shame they couldn't make the ui clearer, show they ascend button if you champion is maxed, but have it greyed out unless you have an eligible champion to use with them.

Hi, longterm player and first time poster. I have a couple of questions - apologies if they're picked up elsewhere .

I already had a maxed out 3* Deadpool (level 266), but now also have an ascended version (4* level 270) from a vault AS WELL. I can't see that there's anyway to combine them. Am I missing something?

Also the level 266 can be sold for 105k iso, but the level 270 for only 49k. So the higher level, with more covers and a load of iso to champ the second version is worth less? Personally, that would seem a big reason for not ascending, except for maybe the 1*s.

You can not use the 3* version to level the 4* version. You will need to ascend that 3* version along with a second maxed 3* version when you've maxed the 4* version since you'll need two 4* versions to ascend to 5*.

3+3 = 4* ascend
4+4 = 5* ascend

It’s another of the consistency problems that have cropped up with this new feature — the ascended 4-star is being treated like an unascended 4-star of the same level in its sell price as well as other aspects, while you’ve got a good argument there for why it should be different. I hadn’t noticed because I plan to keep all my ascended characters and build them further.

Just echoing this. Anniversaries are great, but I'm pretty sure ascension 2.0 is bigger and shinier than the anniversary. I am also hoarding all tokens, and hoarding 1star tokens for an unknown amount of time is not fun (we gotta get our fix). You got us addicted, and then are forcing us through withdrawal. We got these tokens, let us open them pleeease.

@Daredevil217 you missed the Fifth Star problems instead of First World play? However, since everyone should be farming 1stars, I would call this an everyone problem, unless of course you just don't care about farming / progression.

Definitely useful thanks though disappointing there's no way to convert. I dont think I knew I'd need to repeat the 3 to 4 ascension either

Yeah - doesnt seem worth it. Will do 1s and maybe 2s. Then just a few favourites - 3* strange and Thanos, 4* America Chavez and Carol Danvers, and otherwise go back to farming

I only have a Karnak level 451 and the offer to sell it is exactly the same as another 5* level 451.
Because they are exactly in the same level and tier.
It would be crazy to sell him being so good.

Yeah, but he feeds Kang, who's probably better than him (have you fought ascended Thing this week? He's really strong!).

MODOK/Arcade is a better example, and there are lots more. I'd absolutely rather have MODOK covers than Arcade covers right now. So why would anybody farm MODOK to get Arcade? A month ago that made sense. Now it's totally suboptimal.

With totally meh characters like Peggy 5* imo it's better to choose a good 4* for to ascend.
It will be easier to level up than a 5* and you already know that it's good.

True, but getting a 4* to level 370 could take years. Champing a classic meta 5* is much easier

I've just fought a only 451 level Blob.
With 113k health and spawning 600 strength protects, I don't understand how that Blob could be compared with Peggy 5*, Doom GD, even BRB.

Yes, but with bonus shards either one is a lot easier. I've put like 50 levels on my bonus 4* in the last three weeks. While that does represent probably around 300 LT pulls and a host of others so we can't take that as typical, it still adds up quickly. So getting a 4* to 370 (twice, ideally,) is probably a lot faster that that.

Tell you what, let me find my most recently released 4* that's at 370, hang on...

It's Hulkling, though I feel I added a few levels to him via bonus shards. Not a lot, but definitely some. Puck, right behind him, is the same since I wanted Colossus levels. Most of their contemporaries (from a year ago) are in the 330s. Going back another year gets me to the 350s. So we can safely say 2-3 years with normal token opening, at least at a reasonably high level of play.
