What I can tell you is Miles is not meta

Miles may not be "meta" (whatever that word means), but he looks like he'll be fun with fellow Charged tiles specialists like Gambit Jane and Storm. I'm probably going to ignore his Red; it's too expensive and clunky, and for my money Gambit's Red is far superior. He'll also be fun with special tile creators/buffers like Carbage, Kitty, Ultron, 5* Polaris.

I've been using him with MThor and Chasm during his PvP and it has been going well. Granted those two are boosted, but Miles could be a good partner with either of those two because he makes webs and charges

Or we could not nitpick the word to death, given that the meaning behind it is pretty clear to all.

I use OR in PvE and have a non-550 roster of 5* champs. My OR is somewhere around 457, for example. When my schedule allows me to play optimally, I've yet to encounter a faster player that DOESN'T have 550s. He totally qualifies as optimal in my mind.

What is the meaning behind it??? That's the whole point! It's not clear at all!

The meaning is very clear to me. I don't know why you're having trouble with it.

"The meaning is extremely clear, I know exactly what it means"

"Okay cool, will you tell us what it means then?"

    "Hmmmm... no"

I very clearly did. I even gave an example and further evidence why I felt that way. However...

The very person arguing the lack of clarity showed their understanding in a previous post by clarifying what they would prefer us to say. Meaning can be inferred from context just about 100% of the time, as they successfully did. It's not nearly as complicated as you seem to want it to be.

So "meta" in this specific case means "fast in PvE, but not faster than 550s?" Or "optimal, but only optimal enough to finish behind the optimal players?" Or "used by everyone, except for the players that use something else?"

Just say he's good. The "meta" designation has lost all meaning, if it ever had any.

Here’s some advice for all forumites: if someone doesn’t agree with you, that’s OK, you don’t need to prove your right or convince them otherwise. Especially because you could be wrong; so make your point if you must, but don’t insist that everyone must agree with you. It’s more mature to let it go.

If you are right and they don’t listen, it’s their loss.

Counterpoint: the Internet was invented to facilitate pointless arguing over absolutely worthless nonsense.

Well, I can agree that it’s certainly used that way now.

Instead of writing 10k words it can be solved easily searching for it. You are welcome.
"In essence, a "meta" in gaming terminology is a generally agreed upon strategy by the community. Said strategy is considered to be the most optimal way to win/ has the best performance at a specific task. Some people have defined meta as an acronym meaning “most effective tactics available”."

Meta = Most Effective Tactics Available

So in this case Entrailbucket is probably correct that there is no one answer because there are multiple options that all have value.

    Except Miles.

    I'd say he's incorrect.
Because if someone knows anything about this game, and before OR there were 2 pve meta guys one depending on green tiles and another one depending on wasting health packs, then we must agree that OR is a better option, then new meta.

Well I will let everybody go back to bickering coz I don't really care what wording is used to describe "This bloke is alright" myself.

Jesus I go to sleep and the forum turns into the wild west, if I was forum manager I would rule this place with an iron fist.
Also as for what's meta, the simplest explanation is I'm meta.

There's no "i" in meta, but there are two in "Falcon's Meta Shindig" which just happens to be an anagram of your chosen forum moniker.

This is MPQ after all, so it would have to be a Wolverine Iron Fist!

And the eye of Agamotto! I'm glad that somebody took Wolverine and thought "Hmm...he really doesn't have a lot going on apart from the strength, agility, healing factor that means he is basically unkillable, immune to poison/drugs/herpes, super hearing/eyesight/smell, lots of hair for his age, oh and the adamantium skeleton and claws...what else could we add? Kung fu magic? YES! But also actual magic? Why not? And thus was born Wizard Wolverine - his claws are not only spiky stabs of death but also mystical wands and also the Kung Fu power of a dragon! Perfectly balanced!
