14 health packs to get just 1000 points is something impressive. That's one health pack per match maximum, right?
You aren't suggesting you failed at any attempt to beat these teams.
So you attempted something relatively ambitious, chose a hard way to do it, and succeeded without a hitch, at a trivial cost.
I'm struggling to imagine the life where that is the thing I'm complaining about.

Now you are interested on imagine my life?
Well, I don't have a comunist logo on my profile so my life must have a lot less problem than yours.@Bowgentle said:
You COULD adjust like the rest of us, or quit.
But you can also complain and change nothing.
It's clear what your choice is.Wrong. Maybe my suggestions ( for you complaints) helped a bit on nerfing chasm. You are welcome.

Mmm. Fans of irony might wonder if stating that it's possible to gain 1k points in PvP in under two hours targeting exclusively Chasm teams and never losing a match could have an undesirable influence on the Chasm nerf plans.

Fans of irony also didn't read right my initial post "perfectly beatable, of course with my kang, monkey and SW".
Fans of irony also probably don't know how this game works. Because starting from zero you don't fight chasm. So you can't calculate 1 health pack per match. I will ilustrate fans of irony : I had 8 battles without fighting chasm and earning +60 points. Not wasting a single health pack because I was free to swap characters. Then at 700 points I collided into the wall of chasm and there 2 health packs per match.
Luckily now fans of irony are wiser.0 -
There are no boosted apart from venomsaurus rex.
I climbed to 1k without seeing this wall so whats your point?
All i see is mthor and partners.
There's a few chasm/i hulk but they aren't worth a lot of points so aren't worth hitting.1 -

Usually on SIM there is no boosted characters.
If you saw venomsaurus then you did something pretty amazing.0 -

my initial post "perfectly beatable, of course with my kang, monkey and SW".
Yeah, this is the crux.
It would make more sense to me if the conclusion of your initial post was that nothing needs to be done about Chasm.
You won every one of the matches against Chasm teams, right?
So for you Chasm doesn't need nerfing, you have no Chasm problems beyond spending a trivial amount of a free resource that you didn't run out of.
Your MPQ life is sweet. Nothing, not even the most powerful option anyone can throw at you, can halt your advance. You are inevitable.
1 -
If you say my MPQ life is sweet, spending 14 health packs in 6 matches, for only 1200 points to the most, and not seeing anything more than chasm beyond 500 points, then I have no other choice than giving you the reason.
It's always the best way to deal with crazy persons.0 -
It's kinda hard when your expectation is 2k in the last hours of a 4 week event, with zero packs used.

I didn't keep count but I died quite a bit on the march to 50 wins and never got near 1200 points in 2013 PvP so using 14 doesn't seem all that insane/punishing.

Not sure about anyone else, but the daredevil pvp is a wall of Chasm/iHulk (with a sheHulk/Chasm sometimes mixed in) for me.

The devs can’t predict the meta, they can only nerf overused characters and wait to see the new meta that emerges. It’s good for the game to keep changing the meta though, otherwise the game gets stale.
BTW, I’m back and playing “casually” until the anniversary. I’ve been gone for a year and now have this Chasm + IHulk problem in pvp. I don’t have any of the new 5s, so dealing with them is quite problematic, which turns into an auto-skip. It’s the instant revival of both that’s the issue. Having 2 in the game is broken. Imagine how new 5 players would play against this.
So, I hope they delay his revival and the meta changes. Or at least introduce a character that stops enemies from reviving.

It's not really a counter. Its a team that works and doesn't use a bunch healthpacks against the immortal bros. It works and its effective.
Just throwing out an option to use thats all.No one who rails against the Immortal Bros is actually concerned with counters. They have seen countless counters put forth and instead of using them just circle back here to complain. They can beat him but "its boring seeing him all the time" or "he made me use my healthpacks" or any of the other complaints that will invariably shift to the next meta once he's nerfed into uselessness.
He's beatable but slow to beat on defense. So people skip him which raises the float point of teams with him in them. This argument was used plenty in the Steel Witch meta too, another defensive meta. The only thing that quieted that down was the switch to the boosted list where suddenly the meta switched to whatever the best two boosted were or the normal meta if the boost list was terrible. Which is where we still are. When the boost list is good you don't see much Chasm. When it isn't you do. There are definitely pockets where that isn't the case, at the very top level for instance with 550 Chasm teams and for people who are softcapping it is a different experience to be sure.

I think people rarely hit them bc
1) that means inviting instant attacks by all teams, including Hulk/Chasm. Putting out any other team will cause that
2) it’s health-pack intensive to target them. They’re beatable, but will probably cost an average of 2 health packs per fight

FWIW this is slightly annoying as I lose more often (which is to say sometimes) to MThor than to Chasm/iHulk (who I now always target and always beat).

If the Chasm counters were effective, Chasm would be easy to beat.
If Chasm was easy to beat, people would stop using him.
If people stopped using him, we wouldn't see a wall of Chasm teams in these unboosted events.
Since the wall is still there, the counters haven't worked.

"If Chasm was easy to beat, people would stop using him. "
The question isn't whether or not he is easy to beat now. The question is whether their are easier to beat teams (both in terms of time required AND health packs) if you are willing to skip a few more times.
As long as there is a reasonable supply of easier to beat teams, players will skip Chasm teams which means his teams float higher.

Does this not mean that the counters are ineffective?

The reason why the counters are ineffective is pretty simple: there isn't any broken character countering/they don't make a broken duo.
