Is there a cap on how many demon tiles can be created by matching them? Seems like after 3 or 4 are present they don’t create two when matched, just replace themselves with one.
Confirmed, the rebalance they did shortly after release limited it to 3, though firing her black will go above that cap.

Yes, you can increase the limit by using her black power. Ingame, the description of black tells you what the current limit is.
