This format has been really funny. It's a lot more varied than previously.

The final node will reward an LT. In the old ST, you need the latest 4* champed or close to champed status to get the LT. All non-Hellcat characters will be loaned out on only Day 1 and Day 4. Hellcat will be loaned out for every node.

You need to complete the respective column node in Day 2 and Day 3 nodes to play Day 4. You might not be able to get all 200 4* shards, but the rewards on the first day are already pretty good. You might get another 25 to 50 Hellcat Shards and other nodes rewards, even without the essential 5* character. Day 1 is a huge improvement over old ST row 1.

Younger rosters, I'm assuming 2* and 3* players, shouldn't  be expecting to complete all the nodes.

That’s the way I’m reading it, too. What I’m saying is that the original version of ST could be completed with a 4* roster. This version will not be able to be completed with a 4* roster. This means the rewards for anyone without OML will be even further reduced from the original rewards. This does not seem to be in the spirit of every other change they have made to the event.

I entered 4* land around the time of the last ST. I remember being excited that I might be able to complete an ST the next time it was run. I was then disappointed when it was shelved. I then got excited again when it was revived. Unfortunately, now it appears the goal line has moved again, and I won’t be able to complete an ST until I enter 5* land (if I ever do).

I believe the 5* should be loaned out for all 4 days. If the event is ever used for a 5* release, then I would be totally on board with making the 5* required. However, a 4* release event should not require a 5* to complete. That’s just my opinion..

This may be a dumb question,  but if you don't start the event on the 1st day do you miss out on rewards? Or is it possible to play on the last day and open up all the nodes?

4* roster could complete it but it was gated by level. In order to complete all the middle 12 nodes, all 4* are required to be at least 209.  In this new version it has been replaced by 2*, 3*, 4, and 5* node, without a hard gate on level. It seems to be that as long as players have at least 1 cover of each required character they can play the nodes.

The change to include 5* essential could be due to the introduction of SCL 10 that allows more players to champ a new 4* release more easily. So, I guess this is where they upped the challenge for 5* players.

Most 4* players should be able to complete 12 out of 15 nodes, and 14 or 15 if they have one cover of OML. I think losing out on those 150 shards shouldn't be an issue because they will be featured for 5 runs and I find that it's too much. However, it should benefit non-competitive players to get them up to 8-10 covers.

A game mode for to play without stress and to enjoy the new char. I think its great.
If the classic 5* is not loaned I will find difficult to complete it but anyway its a lot better than the old shield mode which forced to almost champ the new 4* for to complete it.

I enjoyed Day 1. My concern is column 4 on days 2 and 3. Is OML going to continue to be loaned out? Based on the event description he will not be. However, why would you lock 4* rewards behind a 5* required? I don’t think the old ST had a required 5*? And furthermore the old ST would reward an LT at the end which this one will not? I guess we’ll find out tomorrow, but I’ll be pretty disappointed if the 5* doesn’t continue to be loaned out.

In the original post, it says for day 2 "each mission loans the new character for play", and "each mission requires the previous other characters, but does NOT loan them".  I read that as saying we get a loaned Hellcat, but need to bring our own Daken, Storm, Carnage, and Wolverine.  It also sounds like the loaned Hellcat will be weaker than the first round.

The final day 4 survival node says it loans additional characters again, but you'd need to complete the previous nodes with your own roster to unlock it. If you've got enough Deadpool whale points saved up, that might be an effective way to get through the later 5* nodes with a less developed roster.

I enjoyed the revised training a lot. I think it's more enjoyable than the previous iteration (which I was rarely able to complete). It's also a good way to get a feel for a new character's kit rather than the usual 1/1/1 loaner in PvP. Looking forward to day two!

I agree with Puce, this revised format MUCH better for getting a feeling for new character!

I agree. I get a much better feel of Hellcat as a new character as it showcase her ability and synergy with different characters. Thumbs up!

I made my first visit here in weeks to try to learn something about this new event.  Because I am gun-shy. New events tend to screw me. It will take some time to feel un-screwed; floods of new 5* characters only further sharpen the bits...

I love me some @IceIX , thanks for the info and thanks for the effort. Though.

Day 2, last node: 530 Mockingbird, 530 Riri and 530 Decoy. How the hell am I going to clear that with a 285 Wolverine and a 500 Hellcat?

I was fine with day 1, day two.....
    I hate it.

I quit, I've had enough of this.

I used 4* Venom to clear the last node. Thanks to @Tiger_Wong for sharing his experience in Hellcat's thread.

    Edit: America Chavez works too.

C&D works well too. Use his black to reduce opponent's power to level 1 and Riri will be dealing 7000 damage when she fires her green. He feeds Hellcat yellow too.

I target Riri first, followed by Mockingbird. Denying red is really important.

Note: This is fun and my OML is useless and his purpose is meat shield.

With a strong third that has synergies with both ie strike tile creation so tile buffing basically. Something to aspire to maybe.

Ultimately though you can just use a whales team-up 🤷‍♂️.

I have to agree with Archus and others. It doesn’t seem right to give reduced rewards AND lock 4* rewards behind a 5*. If they do run a 5* ST, maybe that’s ok, but I’m going to lump this change in with all of the other changes this year as a negative.

The featured loaner is fine, but I think I prefer the old setup when we were given enough time to get the featured character to prerequisite levels.

I tried it twice with Kitty as third and a 405 OML. No luck, admittedly lousy boards, but Riri just sent as all airbound and knocked us on our little behinds all the time. Also hate that node.

First time in months I had to send in the whales fast . With that goon generating purple and green if you don’t win quick you’re trapped in a stun fest loop

Seriously, whose idea was it to lock a new 4 star behind a classic 5 star????????

Dumbest decision ive seen in a while.

I used this team too. Admittedly I have Logan at 475 but tbh this made little difference, his main utility was creating strikes which are pretty weak until they are buffed anyway. I tried to make sure he was tanking when Riri was sending airborne but even then Kitty took it at least once.
