Since the bracket changes it's basically useless. For the Rags tourney I ended up in the same bracket with 3 other Alliance members, despite joining over 36h later.

I learnt my lesson: this time i'll play till i have some 600 point put up a shield and sleep for the last 3 hours.

Honestly, I've seen that caliber team, but I dutifully pay the skip tax until I find a team that is beatable. Still means 100+ power characters, but I avoid the full 141's.

Also, I'm super jealous of your brackets, where 833 is rank 23... My lowest in last 5 pvp's was 817, with 'top 100' (880 in the one before that was also 'top 100'), 2 of my last 5 were over 1000, none of those was better than 'top 50' (rank 41, I believe).

Yeah, I got lucky somehow for Krakadoom. I've been in brackets of death other than that since they made the sharding change. They really just need to go back to how it was before, but we know that's not going to happen...

Is everyone burned out from Season 1 and not playing yet?

I can't think of any other possible reason why I can be sitting in first in my bracket with a measly 630 points. Two days ago the scores would have well over 1000 by now...

I'm guessing it's going to go completely insane tomorrow, PM. Even that recent Daken event last weekend was relatively quiet for the first 24-36 hours.

I'm going back to my old way of joining an event with 2 hours left and just throwing up a shield wherever I meet a ton of resistance.

So, if that number is 600-800 .. so be it. I'm sure with 'sharding' it's going to screw me over from placing high, but I don't really care.

I see no point in grinding for 2 days when going unshielded for a few hours means about -200 or so.

My time is better spent doing lightning rounds for ISO and grinding the PVE toward a purple Daken cover and Sentry covers.

That's the really weird part - I've been hit maybe three times for a combined loss of about 50 points but I haven't seen a retaliation pop up in the queue.

Well, in my bracket 1st is 974, second 874. So we're getting there.

It's just hard to do a sustained run when every **** fight requires one or two health packs afterwards because everyone you get has a maxed Psyduck, maxed LT, maxed CMags, or, best of all, maxed Hulk.
Yes, I can beat those, but without prologue healing I'm out of health packs after three fights.
This is NOT fun.

Nope, but I'm slogging through this one because Daken covers and will see if tanking the next PVP with **** rewards will make a difference.

Not playing has no effect, we know that. Excessive amount of losses do, but adds even more of non-fun time.

What I don't much get is why run for the dakens. In the past I was chasing covers for the fun using them in the further events. That made the pain balanced. But if all the future shows is just more of the same?

I've only played a few matches in this pvp so far...top scores are still sub 600 as well.

And what's wrong with announcing my intentions? I thought we were all friends here...well most of us at least. There are a few surly folk and internet toughies.

Not planning to sit out **** events, but play up as far as I can and then not shield. Hopefully the beat down will convince the game that I need a break.

And I like collecting new covers. Which is why it is such a horrible move to make me fight a whole month for a Fury colour.
