Just wanted to see everybodies thoughts on this new event. This does have the feel of the Raid (Places of Power) Event from a few weeks ago, but with some tweaks. So what are your thoughts?

Other (explain below)Mixed. I love the structure, but I hate playing as the bad guys. I have the same problem with Prodigal Sun.

Other (explain below)I like having new matchups. I like being able to do my clears whenever I want and then forgetting about them.
I don't like that the nodes lock as opposed to dropping to zero points. I don't like that the boss so far is just a punk.
I don't think having different difficulty levels accomplishes anything interesting enough to justify a potential level of complexity. I had to check if beating it all the way through on the highest difficulty was going to help or hurt my alliance. I should never have to check that.9 -

Other (explain below)The structure is fine. What's not fine is the lack of information in how to best approach it.My alliance decided to try to split evenly between Deadly and Hard as much as possible (with newer rosters going lower) but it turns out that'll get us nothing. You need 14 people in an area all hitting every node for max points to get the full progress every day. Why wasn't that communicated? Same problem as last time, it's made out like you can get a ton of rewards, but it's just PvE with a ball and chain on your ankle.Sure, the lack of needing to do 7 clears a day helps, but if you don't know how to co-ordinate your alliance because there's a lack of information in how the points are structures, how can we make informed decisions?16

The number of players required to complete any given difficulty is too high.
Nodes should remain playable instead of locking, let us keep playing for 0 points10 -
Hate it!!I like the structure, I like playing a series of nodes more like a regular event, but contributing towards an alliance progression bar instead of towards personal/alliance placement.
I like the story and the narrative reasons for things, especially since it gave them the excuse to throw in Superior Octopus and Red Goblin costumes (which I assume we'll get to own at some point?).
I dislike that I have to tell my alliance to wait while other groups of players gather data so we maximize our rewards. I dislike that it is so difficult to earn the rewards for Deadly that I had to tell our entire alliance to push for Hard instead (including players that would be better equipped to play a harder difficulty). The prior raid let us divide up a little, so our stronger players could push for the top while our younger/growing rosters weren't forced to follow suit and be drowned out by difficult gameplay. Sending 10 people to one Deadly sub, 4 to another, and 6 to a Hard sub from last event was way better than realizing we might not be able to meet the requirements for Deadly this time, and having to send EVERYONE to Hard. I dislike that myself and a few other high-end players won't even get to try out the harder difficulty on this one because doing so would cost our entire alliance some rewards.
I like that I'm done with this event until noon tomorrow. I dislike that none of our progress today matters for the rest of the event. If we were to get 95% of the way there and fail for some reason (whether someone is having trouble, or picked the wrong sub event, or real life issues like power/internet outages), all of that will be lost. We won't start at 95% tomorrow where we can work our way up.
I dislike that we had Places of Power and had buckets of rewards, and this event has almost nothing by comparison, AND the difficulty is higher, AND the event requires more people to earn those rewards, raising the coordination requirement and making it so much easier for a lack of communication to ruin things. I hate that the rewards are SO paltry that none of that really matters, because if you screw something up you aren't losing that much anyway.
This event type needs some fine tuning anyway, but mechanically this event has taken multiple steps backwards from the previous Raid.22 -
Hate it!!Why is this event, as compared to the previous raid event, HARDER and earns FEWER rewards?6
-
Hate it!!I might like it tomorrow when I do HARD instead of DEADLY, but the latter is WAY over my pay grade. I assumed it would be as "deadly" as Places of Power, but it's substantially more difficult.0

Other (explain below)Love:
Deadly is as says. I loved the challenge of the 1 v 1 at the end.
Domino required with marvel sitting there and enjoying your black was just malicious !
Not so much:
14 people to get a full clear ? especially since most of my group are now going only orange from here on in...
Query:
What is the story for the other nodes? Are they the same or we actually missing out on storyline?
NB. kitty and groot got me through all but the 1 v 1 np1 -
Hate it!!Loved Places of Power despite the lack of info. Hate this one. I feel like I'm being punished for something. It's like being given a huge Christmas present that has beautiful and sparkly gold wrapping with a big red bow on top and then you open it and it's filled with coal.0

I'll keep at it, but that node in particular is obliterating me.1 -
Other (explain below)Interesting. I had little trouble with the node, on saying that my domino is champed. maybe that was the difference?0

Love it!!The Plus1) 24 hours to clear the nodes2) New(?) graphics for Dr. Ock and Green Goblin3) Storylines in alliance PvE4) Usage of newer characters such as Prowler, 5* Kingpin, etc.5) Being able to use wider variety of characters.6) Slightly challenging with the one-on-on wave node7) New alliance eventThe Minuses1) Essential characters for each individual sub-chapter were not made known.Others1) Rewards: I don't expect the rewards to be similar to Places of Power because the context is different. If you come into this new alliance event or future new alliance event (non-MPQ celebration) with the expectation that the rewards will be the similar or better than Places of Power's, you will be disappointed. No celebration can be bigger or more special than the anniversary celebration of your creation.2) Information: the information is slightly clearer, compared to Places of Power. The one information that many wants, which the devs are not giving: how many points each node gives. Giving that information is as good saying how many players are required in each difficulty level. In that case, the devs might as well reveal how many players are needed for each difficulty level in the beginning.Overall conclusion:The side effect of this structure of alliance event is that it shows you how good your leadership as a commander is within the alliance. It's similar to how real life leadership is put to the test:
1) How are you going to solve challenges when the answers are not handed to you on a plate?
2) How are you going to handle your "troops' morales"?
3) What strategies are you going to use to solve the challenge?
4) How are you going to prioritise?I think it's interesting and I understand why it can be frustrating. Compared to normal alliance event, this event disrupts your routine in normal boss/alliance event. Many in here don't like disruption to their ("expected") routines.
So, I expect more downvotes for this event. The devs spoiled the players with too much rewards in Places of Power.5 -
Love it!!It never ceases to amaze me how any shadow of a challenge irks people so much. Deadly should be the hardest difficulty there is, for 5* players. And it's quite a moderate challenge overall. The 1x1 wave node was fun and required good strategy.
Hope numbers justify more new content like this. A bit confused by the rewards tbh, more communication would be great.4 -
Love it!!Overall I thought deadly was easy. That said I have an appropriate roster and I play pve competively.
overall if your not a commander then who care? Once the math is calculated, the clear orders are clear as day. Yes the math is tricky if your a commander figuring it out on your own for the first time. But do your research, send scouts, talk to your alliance. I.e. be the actual commander who solves problems. Once the route is done, then the work is over it will never be an issue in the future.
as a play experience this event was fine. The matches were a good mix of waves one time and 4x nodes. Day 1 scaling was fine. The enemies never really exceeded the level of my roster. At least not to the same exent as regular pve0 -

As you've mentioned, all these are extremely applicable to real life. 1, 3, and 4 are applicable to literally everyone, not just leaders/commanders. As we all know, real life can suck a lot of the time. Things go wrong, obstacles pop up, carefully laid out plans crash and burn, or at best don't turn out how you want them to. You go into a new relationship or new job full of hope, but it's not what you expected. 20 years into a marriage, one spouse loses his/her job. Or maybe the family has to move because of jobs. Someone you love gets struck with a terminal illness. How're you going to deal with it?
As to the event itself. Yes, the rewards - particularly the CP and LT - are horrible in comparison to Places of Power. But if you look at it by itself, objectively, it's comparable to any other normal PvE. I'm satisfied with what's on offer. I'm happy to face new/different opponents. Although, I acknowledge that my alliance has awesome communication, and we all know exactly what the individual and the group needs to be doing. So that part is well taken care of.2 -
Other (explain below)Hate is a strong word but I am finding it stupidly hard with **** rewards. I wouldn't care if it was challenging with decent rewards, but that's not the case.
2 -
Other (explain below)I like the structure and the fact that we can play whenever and just be done with it. But the requirements for the rewards are stupidly high and the lack of information (shocker!) puts the whole event down.3
-
Hate it!!As an alliance we have started to do well at alliance events even though none of us have champed a 5*
this event had so much potential with the story attached and not having to face dark avengers all the time
but it was ruined by poor communication and poor rewards
the fact that Hard was as difficult as deadly was on PoP and has left half my alliance unable to get to the target points
all previous alliance and story modes have at least been possible to get to personal progression without the need to finish every node
this event I suspect only me and 1 or 2 others will get to max progression
as a result most of my alliance might as well not bother for the next 3 days as the awards are pathetic1 -
Like the Gameplay.
Again I hate the reward structure. Don't have 14 people in my Alliance and it's not changed in years.
Let players individually compete to get the best rewards and just give more to alliances.
Didn't like getting locked out when I hadn't completed clears.0
