I've also gotten hit with the dreaded GR black TU when hopping in PvP. You just know one of your characters is done when you see it pop up.

Actually, there is more good news! At power level 5 she can also steal protect tiles as well! I never knew that presumably because I have never set purple to 5, or actually really fired purple very often.

Ghost Rider could be in trouble here...

maybe you've been doing it wrong all this time, and she's secretly been #TheBest?

Wow, this one took off overnight . . .I think I'm shooting for both, just cause.  On the 'bright' side, I picked up my 13th Kraven cover so he's now in that 'need to champ him too' bucket.

I wouldn't be pulling, but I really want one more Spider Gwen cover so I can get through all of the SHIELD training for Ghost . . . that's all that I'm missing.

Electra just needs someone to make enemy tiles for her. When I was a 3-4* transitioner I frequently used her with Patch. With Patch's enemy strikes stolen and boosted, Electra's red repeater started doing wicked amounts of damage.

But the problem with these Electra strategies is that they're slow and a bad board will do you in. You need time to gather AP and set-up, so an accelerator is required. Unfortunately there aren't many AP generators that give Electra what she needs. In my above example with Patch, IM40 will make the green and red, leaving you to come up with the purple. But again, this takes a few turns to set up - gather yellow, wait for countdowns, etc. You can use Switch to make purple, but there are better partners for Switch. Plus, all these are 3-stars and the teams grow less and less useful the further into the 4-star tier you get.

Electra just doesn't do much that other characters at the 4-star tier don't do a lot better, which is why she's a bench-warmer. Want consistent damage every turn? Get Medusa. Want to deflect or tank damage? Get Rogue or a protect tile generator like Cage. Want to steal enemy tiles? Use Ant-Man.

Medusa does everything she does better, just in a slightly different way. Enemy specials on the board? eat them to gain AP. Get enough purple, steal and buff them for 4 less purple than using Double-Double Cross 2X (well, steal as many of them as RNG gifts you with rather than the targeted steal you get from DDC). Want consistent damage? starts on passive, you can compound that by matching the CD away until it gets out of hand. Need to deflect damage? Just match some of those friendly specials away and get that team burst health.

Medusa was my first champ 4*, and I used to climb sim pretty high running her with Patch.

She does do that sliding along the floor move though. I can't think of anybody else who is that slidey in MPQ. I do wonder if her shoes have tiny roller skates on. Iceman does some sliding too but he slides through the air on ice which is totally different.

Ghost has that Liu Kang mortal kombat side-kick, and Chavez has that MK Johnny Cage shadow-kick, but those are the other slidiest ones that come to mind

Ooh, yes Ghost is sort of slidey, good call. I guess 4* Iron Fist is a bit too with his weird kick thing but he seems to take forever to get to the end of it. A bit like his TV show.

I don't find Chavez kick extra slidey but that thing when she sorts of shoulder charge headbutts the screen might be a candidate.

that side kick she does when you have enough AP though?

Oh that thing. I guess it is quite slidey but possibly a bit pivoty also.

    It's no Elektra though.

Maybe it's time to introduce Slyde to MPQ. Then we can just retire Electra.

All this thread makes me think of is this song.  It's even worse when all the lyrics I know consist of the title of the song...

And that is exactly where the title came from.

So because of this thread, I took my lvl 277 Lockjaw (3/5/5), lvl 272 Kraven (5/5/3) and lvl 172 Elektr4 (5/4/4) into simulator to see what the Legion of Losers could do in there. I had a retal queued up with Bl4de/Medusa/G4mora, so it  was a good opponent but not an ideal opponent. It took a longer time to get moving than I thought, and had a lot more overlap with Kraven than I realized it would - Lockjaw's blue at 5 covers is almost always superior to Kraven's trap tile at 3 covers, and Elektr4's black is actually much better in this scenario than Kraven's black. Bl4de wasn't the strike factory he often is this time, so I found myself chasing the opponent entanglement tile around to get some attacks on the board. Lockjaw took a bunch of nibble damage before i was able to get the 1000 papercut death train rolling, but I ended up winning the match with Elektr4 at nearly full health (7981), Kraven similarly almost full (10,580), but Lockjaw was down at 3459. If this had been a team with 4ocket on it instead of Bl4de, it would have been much stronger. If any one of these characters were boosted, this team would almost certainly be a trapcake team to somebody that wasn't in the cool kids' club (this thread)

Exactly, where's the velvet rope ;)
I'm not competitive enough to fully use traps, but one of my troll SHIELD teams is Carnage, Kraven, Nico.  I want to like Lockjaw, but he always leaves a match with tons of damage, plus he has one of the worst healing rates, go figure.

Yeah, he seems designed for Royal Family and that's about it.

How much is the tile buff on Double-Double Cross when Elektr4 is champed? I'm curious how that buff compares to Hair Meddle, and mine is too under-leveled to evaluate it. My lvl 277 medusa at 5 covers will buff them by 445, and my lvl 172 elektr4 is already buffing them by 199. Does that scale up a ton? It may be worth 4 more AP if the buff is very good and the accuracy is 100%. I often miss the specials entirely with HM.

My Elektra is at 293. At 5 purple covers the buff is 277.  My lvl 300 Medusa at 5 purple buffs by 518.
