Hi Everyone,

T’Challa has returned to Marvel Puzzle Quest as the King of Wakanda, and just in time to protect his nation from those who threaten his kingdom and its people. Take a first glance at the new 4-Star Black Panther, and the new event that comes with him: Fight for Wakanda

Black Panther (King of Wakanda)


4 Star Rarity (Legendary)

Protector of Wakanda - 7 yellowtilepng AP
Creates a Repeater tile that generates Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles. If there is at least one ally, fortify the tiles. If no allies are downed, make the tiles stronger.

Kinetic Shield - 8 bluetilepng AP Active w/ Passive
Creates Fortified Protect tiles. Whenever you match a friendly Protect tile, deal damage for each friendly Protect tile.

By Tooth and Claw - 10 redtilepng AP
Deal damage to the enemy. Increase the strength of Fortified friendly Attack, Strike, and Protect tiles.


Fight for Wakanda

Wakanda is under attack by H.A.M.M.E.R. and Ultron. T’Challa must travel his kingdom with his allies to defend its greatest resources. Play against all-new Hazard tiles in this brand new Story Event!

Event Structure
Fight for Wakanda is a 3-day Story Event. Each day Black Panther must face off against a new Super Villain, and their henchmen, that is threatening his homeland. Each Sub-Chapter brings a whole new Hazard Tile that players can choose to strategically utilize or cautiously navigate around.
  • Exploding Tech - Creates dangerous blasts that harms both allies and enemies.
  • Royal Shield - Helps allies, but can also turn the tide in the enemy’s favor.
  • Collapsing Mine - Makes it harder to defeat the enemy
*New Update*
In addition, here are some recent changes and additional information about Hazard tile behavior:


  • Hazard tiles are now considered Neutral.
  • They now are displayed as Silver to show that they are neither friendly nor enemy.
  • Enemy powers that activate off of friendly Countdown tiles events will no longer activate.
  • Hazard tiles do not take Strike tiles into account.
  • Hazard tiles that deal damage will still deal reduced damage depending on Protect tiles.

    @Brigby is Wakanda Forever BP's PVP event or another new PVE story? I figure it's the first of those, but want to make sure since everything else listed is PVE.

    Yes. Wakanda Forever is his Versus Tournament.

    We got a new event with a new villian, and new hazard tiles. I wonder if the henchmen would be new as well.

    Collapsing mine looks interesting though. I guess i could it be similar to Silver Surfer's Silver Singularity.

    I was hoping for new goons. On the positive side, the new hazard tiles could be an experiment to see how players react to the hazard tiles before those hazard tiles effects become the goons' abilities.

    "We" who? I love hazard tiles. I'm willing to bet others do too, and that you shouldn't be so presumptuous as to speak for the entire playerbase like that.

    Also, while the hazard tiles in Honor Among Thieves don't do damage when destroying a row/column, the resulting cascade does. And rather unfairly, they only activate on YOUR turn, never on the opponent's turn.
