This event ended really annoying... 1st day was top150 (due to them messing around with the points)(, then every day at Top30-40, until 8h before the event ends... went to bed and put a 5am timerclock! Discover to have been at 178th place, out of Daken range! With 1h grinding barely made it to 108th place...
Why are they always ruining your overall stable progress by the last 8h, as always Europe unfriendly? Am I always forced to wake up at 5am on the last day to not loose everything achieved over the last 7 days!!??

This is slowly really turning me away from the game after 500h put into it. Devs, seriously reconsider this madness of rubberbanding and Europe unfriendly times!

Also, who came up with the stupid idea of 12h refreshes... some people actually do need to sleep at nights and work during days! make it 24h as the shortest! Then points would also remain stable and all this could be avoided!

but without spiderman, we'll totally not have to worry about scaling. People on the forum said so!

Didn't have time to do a refresh this morning, so I started my run tonight quite a bit behind... after grinding all my nodes down, I was at 349XX, with only Patch and Thor alive, 2 minutes left in the event. Spent 50 HP on a health pack, crammed in a +50% damage boost, and hit the center low-value HAMMER node. Crossed 35000 in the last possible seconds, got my token

  • Gotta say, the end of this event was pretty damn fun. I wasn't paying attention to anything, just grinding down nodes. I checked where I was with about 15 minutes to go and saw that I had a chance at top 10 or so. I ended up finishing 7th and it turns out reckless was in the same bracket as well as a fellow alliance member (moral) who finished 10th. Pretty good result for us...Reckless did you just run out of points at the end? I was under 100 in every node when the event finished.

Yea, I've had the good fortune of never being in the same bracket as her before, but I gotta hand it to her, great job reckless! Held down #2, in spite of the crazy scaling you've been going through lately.
I'm currently 79th in my main bracket and seriously doubt that whatever D3 comes up with at the end will fix these problems. I've never finished a PVE outside the top-10 and often place top-2, but I will be very lucky to reach the top-30 to get both Daken covers. This is just inexcusable.

That was reckless' old post from Monday. I guess you found your way back!

Its not gonna change.. Its a permanent trait and we are a lot of europeans players to rant about.. I change my sleep pattern to accomodate end of events.. That s the only thing left to do..

Right, and given that Spidey wasn't even allowed in this event, and the scaling was still ****...

That's the roster of 1st place in our bracket (at least the rest of top 10 are more reasonable, with maxed 2*s and what not).

*Edit: think that's one of the guys that don't level their characters on purpose.

Surprised that Dayv of Pax Romana didn't hold onto 1st, perhaps couldn't play at the last hour.
Meanwhile I had to grind every node multiple times to get back into top 30 from top 200, including twice against lvl 250+ lazyDaken. Daken isn't as scary as lvl 250+ Ares though. Had to buy AP boosts for ISO at the end.

Now I want devs to admit that scaling needs to be reset (I don't care if newbies get an easier time again). The event was incredibly hard to enjoy. I loved the structure, the buff to every hero, the available roster was super-decent, who knew that MMN ruled that much? But the point screw-up sucked the joy too early - had to grind, grind, grind, and that's after barely getting my scaling to reasonable range after the Sim. I'm sure many share these feelings.

Congratulations to deadpooltacos. We pushes as hard as we could! Great job to top 3 alliances, you grindaholics!

Thanks. Don't think we ever expected to end up 1st when the event started. Somewhere along the way with everyone playing their various styles we found ourselves "accidentally" in 1st for long stretches of time in the middle of the event. Near the end a lot of members did a few extra nodes of grinding to hold onto 1st. Was a lot of fun.

PorkBelly & Brady28, thanks for the last-minute competition. That was fun!

Yeah. I decided to push for xforce at the end but ran out of gas. Definitely a sprint at the end.

I had some points left, but figured top-3 was all the same. In my final refresh, the Daken/Ares node began at 300 and was at least at 330 at some point. That node and the one other high non-essential node were over 100 points. The rest I had ground down below 100.

I would actually have been perfectly happy with top-30. The problem is that, with an hour to go, I hit the top-10 and had no idea if that score would hold up. Since I had no idea how many other people were within striking distance, I really had no choice but to keep playing. And one or two matches later, I was in the top 3, so it seemed silly not to try to stay there. By that time, I had ground so much, it hardly made a difference if I did some more.

I still think it is inexcusable that the devs lowered levels for players at the highest levels, but did not adjust scaling across the board. The only way I managed to do this was to grind the nodes in my last several refreshes. So now my scaling is back to the levels I had been carefully trying to avoid before. In the next PVE, I won't be surprised if I begin with level 300s.

I was in your bracket reckless and bacon and i barely cracked the top 30.. I was behind the 8 ball all event long.. I grinded like crazy and like reckless said i reached pve lvl i was careful not to have.. Anyway congrats to both cause with the insane scaling i would not have thought possible to enter top 10..

Should have listened to Lyrian and ignored the subs, really. The ISO was good, though, maxed my Patch at least.

    That was an insane ending.
I've never seen a point spread this close before.
*cue Phantron coming in to explain that some event w/o rubberbanding was also that close*

Anyway, managed to grind up from 122 to 7 in the last hour, but my Daken went up to 295, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing my starting levels in the next event.
Thanks for making everyone grind like a madman, devs.
Since low level rosters managed to finish in the top 10 this time for real, possibly you're on your way to your goal, whatever that is.
  • I still can't believe I didn't get top 30 at the end. I finished top 5 in the first two brackets and kept grinding away all day today the right at the end dropped to 38.
  • Is it weird that, at least so far, the main thing I'm thankful to this event for is getting me another Red Ares Cover? Got mind to 5/3/5. That'll change a little once I get my rewards. icon_razz.gif
  • at least they fixed the rubberbanding so being 1st 7m too early doesn't doom you to 20th place now. very easy 1st place though, did one clear on each sub and hit the 3 refreshes at the end. wish the server hadn't ate my top gun patch rewards icon_razz.gif god forbid i ever get him higher than level 64.
