IceIX confirmed that there are repeatable nodes in the main event. If you remember Unstable ISO-8 at all, you could literally not play for the entire week and rubberband your way to max points in the last two days of the event. It might not actually be an issue main-bracket wise if this is the case. You guys would be screwed out of the first sub, but the rest of the event would be salvageable.0 -

agreed. so people, complain all you want but control your rage against IceIX. he is doing a tough job here.
And he is a total stud for doing it.
Almost as studly as this guy...
As usual the drama on the forums is providing more entertainment than the actual event. Also, someone please get Pandaberry into a long cold shower before she has a meltdown. I never knew mohawks were so sexy, although, i'm sure its the claws that are really doing it for her.
Hahaha. Long, cold shower? Pffft. I need to hop into the rain with *dramatic, girly sigh* golden Daken.
Lol. I am just trying to insert some levity into this super tense discussion. And I think I have a thing for muscled tatted men.0 -
I feel like a lot of this current discussion revolves around nothing but "maybe it'll sort itself out", and by the time everyone realizes it's not going to work, it'll be too late for a total reset/any other fix of the sort.
I mean, I hope it all somehow works out with rubberbanding and what have you, but I really have my doubts.0 -
Yay to those people who were awake to play in main and subs before the point reduction and boo to people like me who was still sleeping to miss out on the higher points.

My main bracket keeps going up but my nodes aren't increasing. Guess I will just wait for this magical main mission rubber banding to kick in.0

I'd like to know this too.
Also why in subs, you cannot see alliance totals. Only player totals.
As far as the main topic, I have 3,393 points from the clear I did of all nodes just after it started (noted in detail earlier in this thread.)
My main bracket leader: 8,654 points.
my sub bracket leader: 7,360 points
I may have more points as I did a clear before the change, however, considering the change, I am simply not seeing a way to catch up to either leader given the low node/pin values.
I feel bad for anyone who didn't clear the nodes before the change, but even though I did, I'm still out of reach apparently. I'm just not convinced rubberbanding can actually balance this back out.
There are no Alliance rewards in the sub-brackets. Only in the overall game. That is why you only see your score in the subs. If you go to the main page of the event, you will be able to see your Alliance, and how they are placing.
I know there aren't rewards...I mean, for time like in the Hunt or Sim, when there are multiple subs, would be nice to see WHERE a player in your alliance might be getting the points, etc. Just looking at the main doesn't really give you the breakdown.0 -
5000 points, a bracket leader with 9000 points, and the most any node gives me is 200 points. Those kitties sure look tiny today,0

The main bracket missions only have to be significant relative to the subs, as in they probably have to be worth at least comparable points. The fact that there might be very little points overall is not an issue because rubberbanding will still take care of it.
Do we even know what these main bracket missions are supposed to be at this point?0 -
Just give lazy Daken covers to everyone and people will stop complaining, right?0
-
Gonna ask this one more time since it didn't get a reply.
Wouldn't just turning the appropriate rubberbanding back on from before the boost to 400m fix everything?0 -

It would be easier to accept the "rubberbanding will fix most of the problematic situations" if we weren't seeing consistent feedback that RUBBERBANDING IS SCREWED UP NOW.0

Vairelome! I have been looking for you! Golden Daken: Hot or Not?!
Still waiting on that cold shower...anyone....?0 -
Having cleared this thing once through as soon as it opened, I'm actually pretty okay with how this is working out. Nice leisurely pace for once!0

So what is the solution for this nonsense0
