  • It would be just too easy to just do this over again...
  • Well a tiny glimmer of hope just got crushed. icon_e_sad.gif

Why does Heroic Oscorp always have some horrible problem associated with it, it should be forever banned as a repeat event so that this never happens again! icon_e_biggrin.gif

Otherwise just please tell me that the rubberbanding will make catching up possible by the end of the event.
Final confirmation is still pending, it seems like rubberbanding is confined to each sub event though, meaning that it just won't be possible to catch up.
Hopefully there are some repeatable missions in the main area that will open up later if this is the case, as missing the end of sub-events will be easier than usual with this system.
  • When I started playing this afternoon, "Target Score" for City was 200,000,000 and the bar was half full. Now it is at 400,000,000 and the bar is less than half full. **** gives?

How do you change a target AFTER the game begins? Am I missing something here?

Dang it, IceIX, come back and fix this! It's like you disappeared as soon as this happened (though I'm sure it's just a coincidence, don't take me too seriously).

*note that I finished all of the nodes at least once before the hit and aren't too far behind the top people, but it's still unfair for everyone else.

If they don't want to blow the whole thing up they have to at least let people in early brackets join new brackets. I'm probably out of the whole 6 day event now because I'm so far behind the leaders of my bracket
  • I have only been around for 50 days, do they have any history of fixing things after they make a change that screws over many forum users? because no one that joins from now on will get hurt by this, other than the alliances that have massive leads already
  • IceIX, I know this is an ugly situation, but please don't go into hiding. As it currently stands most players that were active shortly after the mission points downscaling went into effect have silently been declared loser of this event, with almost a week left on the clock. There's got to be something that can be done about it. This doesn't only hit those players hard, it also puts their alliance into a tough position, possibly dropping them out of cover reward range as well unless they optimize their member setup. It's still early on the event timescale, the situation might yet be salvaged by just restarting everything from scratch. In a day or two such a step would probably not go down well.
  • This is poop.
  • I don't know if I should start. I know I'm massively behind apparently but they adjusted it once...
  • I just hope he doesn't mention any of us by name during his inevitable nervous breakdown.
  • Restart! Restart!! Restart!!! Restart!!!!

    etc.

or you know, fix it please.

Eh, the main bracket that you join will be equally behind, so you're only behind in terms of progression awards (which we wont reach anyways), and contributing points to your alliance (probably not a big deal since most alliances have people in your situation). I wouldn't worry too much about it: its the guys that were in the middle of their clears when this happened that are actually screwed.

At this point, is it relatively safe for to join the event? I just got off work and have been reading the forums before starting up and things are looking awkward from what I've read. It might be worth waiting a little bit until I can join a bracket with brand new people who didn't get a head start. Either that or we can all hope that rubberbanding will kick in and just even things out down the road. Thoughts?
  • ok so i went to the lightening round for a bit saw that weird glitch unless it wasn't a glitch didnt affect me couldnt update any 2* affected by this event (boo) so now back to playing this for a bit although i should be working on the Versus season.....
  • Guess I will wait until tomorrow to start... don't want to risk getting in a bracket where someone has an 8000 point lead.

It's probably safe to join now, mabe wait just a little longer though, just in case. Rubberbanding is not going to save you on this one.

I'd wait a little while. I got screwed because I couldn't finish all the nodes before the node nerf took over and I'm looking at deficits that I may not be able to overcome. Wait it out so that the bracket you join doesn't have someone out to an 8000 point lead.

I'm pretty sure I'm screwed in this event now.

D3 really hurt some of us with this stealth change.

    Edited.
