    Any chance we can find out if you're going to fix this TinyKitty IceX before I grind these nodes only to see you fix this balls up and I can't do the nodes any more....

    On the main screen, I don't get any nodes past the first 4. One of which I can not play because I do not have Patch. Is this the same for everyone?

    yes. Other nodes won't open until point total goal is reached in the sub

    The event's only less than 5 hours old, and it seems wildly out of control already. They should just start the event over again and lose 5 hours of progress, rather than taint the rest of the 6 days we have left. Everyone that's at the top now have their progression rewards so they aren't exactly walking away with nothing.

    I don't usually complain about these things, but I joined an early bracket, I monitored the progress and node values and figured I could get in all the nodes somewhat close to the end so I didn't play any sub-event nodes yet to maximize their values.. And now I'm totally screwed by this points rollback icon_evil.gif I'm 8000 pts back and my max node is worth 600 pts now

    Same here. It's going to be next to impossible to catch up, people in my bracket have almost 10k points headstart. Given the new mission point values and the topmost progression reward at 50k points that seems to be close to a two day advantage. Say goodbye to those covers, we've been removed from the race right at the start.

    Same. I was playing my nodes and had just joined. I went into a fight expecting 1k+ came out to find I had earned 300 points. Its just going to be really hard now to even think about top 20 to get that third lazy daken cover. Was really looking forward to him too... sigh icon_e_sad.gif

    Yeah I'm not one to usually go for the nuclear option, but there seems to be no clear way to fix this, and so many people have a huge uphill battle to just get into top 100 let alone top 20.

    Well, this sounds like a fine cluster mess.

    I've just played enough nodes to open up the sub and make a start on it, then read this thread. Not sure how much time to put in if the event is effectively blown already.

    Uh IceIX? Dude I think you are great, but I am hoping you can unflip the nerf all points switch. Otherwise just please tell me that the rubberbanding will make catching up possible by the end of the event.

    I get that the sub event points need to be longer but it is a pretty steep sdvantage people just got for mindlessly grinding the nodes.

    Didn't have to mindlessly grind nodes... the rubberbanding would have let you get to over 8k in main for doing about 10 matches...

    Those extra covers would just go to the people that already benefit from the headstart, not to those that no longer have a chance at winning them. The fair approach would be to abort the whole event and restart it tomorrow, this time correctly configured.

    I agree - changing the scoring in the middle of the event is completely utterly borked. I've always been in favor of giving devs the benefit of the doubt, but this makes it so clear that they have their tinykitty tinykittying tinykitties so far up their tinykitty tinykitty.

    And don't tinykitty around about it. Just make the tinykitty decision and do it.

    Hi, can someone give me some help? I'm really really sleepy and I don't know what's going on. The nodes on the city sub were showing 1k+ points. I've been trying to get a Patch before joining a bracket in the sub so I've been doing LRs. I got to top 25 and got a red Patch from the token reward. When I went back to the sub, the rubberbanding bonus is gone, and the quota has been changed to 400M. I don't have enough energy to catch up on this thread, so could someone be a good lad and answer this question for me: Play now, sleep later or sleep now, play later? which option would get me more points for my alliance?

    Final confirmation is still pending, it seems like rubberbanding is confined to each sub event though, meaning that it just won't be possible to catch up.

    Scores were too high so they changed it but didn't fix the fact some ppl already had well over 8k points and now you can't get close to that. Basically they screwed up impressively.

    Some numbers:

    I only ran a single instance of node Man The Perimeter before the goal posts moved. Haven't run any other nodes yet.

    Man The Perimter was worth 262 points my 1st run. Now looking at it for 2nd run would be worth only 84 points.

    If there were 5 stack nodes it should have been approx 210 points. 4 stack nodes 196 points. 3 stack nodes 173 points, and 2 stack nodes 131 points. That assuming my rubber-banding hadn't increased, which it should have.
