Did anyone on Steam get their levels to lower?
These redic levels are only effecting steam players?
nada... if anything my levels went up here. but that's on mobile, not steam0 -
I'm pretty sure The hunt has nothing to do with how scaled the simulator is. I did just one single node of the hunt and my scaling is really bad. Scaling could be related to the previous simulator, I assume if I did ok in that one.0
-
Max, it's seemingly random. Not only Steam players suffer from high starting levels.
I finished average in the previous Sim (good enough for 2 LC covers). Pretty sure the type of the PvE doesn't affect scaling, it's the same for all PvE events.0 -
Some people clearly seem to have a carry over scaling unless there's some function of your roster that determines you should start out with level 300 enemies. I had 330s on my essentials and 395s on virtually every hard mission on The Hunt, and my hard missions for Simulator started in the 110-140 range, so at least in my case it definitely didn't carry over. The starting levels I see seems to be higher than what's reported by most people, so I don't know if that's because I start with tougher opponents as a function of my roster or that some of the past performance still carried over (finished #3 in the Hunt), though if it's the latter it's definitely not 100% of your past performance or I'd be seeing 395s at start.0

Yeah... just seems pretty random. Yes - we all got hit by scaling in the Hunt, but that really should NOT have any affect on the Simulator. But, I'm sure it did throw all of our MMR through the roof as many of us had to take on 395 level goons just to try to keep up at all.
Towards the end of the Hunt, it was just so frustrating to realize that some lower level players were blowing past me with easier nodes and higher point values due to whatever rubberbanding, yet, I was not getting any rubberbanding and was normally getting high level nodes with low level point values. I was in top 20 most of the Hunt event, but got pushed to 21 in the last 2 hours, but could never catch back up - only maintain. Average for any of the Bullseye nodes was level 395 in 1,2 & 3 - and luck to get 400 points on any one node. I didn't grind any, only cleared certain nodes each refresh, but still got screwed up levels.0 -

That sounds similar to me. I had the same thing in the Hunt - at least 5-6 nodes across all three subs were 395, most of the rest were in 320-330 range. Even nodes like Bullseye 1 - was originally 330 range - played it once, within 30 minutes, changed to 395.
I know between Hunt and Sim - I did try tanking a little bit, and purposely lost some matches. Did still hit #1 in Top Gun, and top 10 in Seasons, but purposely lost some matches, and watched characters die often - trying to reduce my overall number. Did a lot of roster rotation in what little I played of lightning rounds, and never healed in or between matches. Just played until they were downed, then switched them out.
Not sure if anything I was doing worked to reduce or not - or if the Sim just gave us some base value off of some function/value that none of us are aware of. It would be nice to know what it is that triggers any of it.0 -
Well hot damn, last night I had all my nodes sitting in the 30s and 40s as I started the event. Got some decent points from it. Then I log on about 8 hours later this morning and they all jumped to 90-100 already! I only played maybe 7 or 8 nodes total last night between both subs. Did community scaling kick in that hard that quick? This is going to be impossible by day 3....0
-
Perhaps it depends on your MMR(the same one used for pvp event) at the time of creation of the event. That's could explain why it seems so random, because people have varying MMR levels.0

Not sure if I should post a ticket or what. My levels basically started off where they were in the middle of the Hunt, around 130s for normal and 150 for hard. Not that it's impossible, but I only just recently got a leveled up 3* so it's a little intimidating. The nodes are almost all "Hard" where usually in PvE they start off easy or normal and work their way up to Hard/Deadly by the very end. Simulator has been my favorite PvE, but I am just not looking forward to it this time around (those buffed characters don't help either).
edit: I don't mean to come off as complaining, but it is a huge departure from all previous PvE where I can't remember the first nodes being more than levels 40-60. 100 additional levels over that seems like a HUGE jump after just one long event where my scaling only got me up to fighting ~250 villains. Starting this high makes me worry I'll be fighting in the 300s before the end and that turns me off from even starting it.0 -

same here. I put in a ticket about the scaling, and loss of first time completion bonuses, but have not heard back0 -
my nodes are great for now untill community scaling makes it worse o-o
I'm glad I got Falcon from my updrift token from the last event or else i wouldnt be able to do the essential quests. although I can't use him well with Thor unless i put Captian in there to try to get some defense in the battle, I can rank high easily by tomorrow and win the highly trained tokens
I sure hope I can update the buffed heroes. especially my heroes that are low leveled that can only get buffed to 46-48, in case the community scaling makes my nodes too hard.0 -

These type of events/rewards should be really great for you. Get as many tokens as you reasonably can and you should be maxing out that 2* team in no time. Get a few lucky 3* pulls and you could be on your way to a playable 3* even. Good luck!0 -
Also want to add that you should not be too intimidated by the "Hard" subevents. At least for this first one, since you have Falcon, I wouldn't be surprised if you could still place decently well by beating whatever nodes you can plus the essentials (or even just the essentials, which are always easier). I know my first time playing the simulator I figured Hard was for the guys with developed rosters so I barely did any of it, but thankfully found out it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I could beat the essential nodes with my 1-covered 3* guys and max 1*/mid 2* teams.0
-
The difficulty of the nodes vary greatly in Simulator Basic, but so far round 1 seems pretty tame. I threw a lot of random combination of teams and they did pretty well, even the team I was trying to get killed on purpose. There certainly isn't any fight like Thor with 2 green feeders that will kill you by turn 3 here.0

Well..... don't worry if your nodes are ridiculously scaled compared to everyone else's before you even started the event (395 in my case) .... you can always EMAIL customer support!Me wrote:I'm playing on the PC version of MPQ via steam.

My issue is that my starting nodes to unlock the simulator subs are both 395 (although the hard has now dropped to 393 for some reason) even though people who did better than me in the previous PvE event have significantly lower levels. This seems to be effecting only certain people in the game, not all of whom scaled the previous PvE event particularly highly (several reported with top scaling in the hunt below 200 while people who reached 395 are getting lower levels than those people).
This is making it literally impossible for me to play in the current event at all.
Thankyou in advance for your help.
Then they reply helpfully.....Hello!
Thank you for your report about the Simulator nodes.
The difficulty for these is based upon your current PvE matchmaking rating, and is indeed correct.

As the points look like the same as last time I would bet the refresh time is also.
Cool. And that was...? Asking for a friend, hence my laziness. Also the tips and tricks forum is foreboding, like that house on the hill with the overgrown weeds and the weird noises at night.0 -

I'm at least 8.5 hours past my clear of hard sub. Just did the first mission in that twice and dropped to 1 point.0 -
I'm pretty sure this is part of their scaling algorithm:
if(spiderman) lvl = 300;
I don't want to use Spider-Man for this event, but it's impossible not to at this point. I just wish he was nerfed so that we weren't penalized for using him. Spider-Man is my favorite hero in general and I'd like to be able to use him without the game punching me in the gut telling me I'm playing wrong.
Looks like I'm going to be wiping my team every 3 hours...0 -

um... I can only imagine what that reply said, lol. That was a pretty...weak response I guess. I mean, "Current" leads me to believe it means - IN current pve. This pve just started, so it can't possibly be THAT high already. Seems to me they mean COMBINED rating between the previous PvE's, and this one... which I just think is the wrong way to go about it.0
