    agreed. Coffeeandbacon is first in my season bracket with 5.2k. I lost a couple of places, but still top 10 and just under 1k behind.

    Given that the last three people who hit me for 45+ points were 5DV and 5DP members who are now at 1600, I think the whining here is a bit OTT. People hit kyip, but they spent more on shields to keep their scores high and they created a lot of high-point targets for others. What is 5DV currently at? 6000 above its prior best alliance total? 15 of their members are over 1200, when they typically have 1 or 2 members that high. 12 members of FittedKitchens crossed 1200. The top 10 alliances are all over 20000, when only S.H.I.E.L.D and 5DV ever reached that point before. So the points trickled down and spread out across the player-base.

    Something else that no one mentioned was that kyipgate also allowed everyone to hit 1300 and easily get that rare blue IW cover. Season placement awards don't matter anyways since each heroic 10 pack is really just 2.5k iso to the people that can actually place high enough to get them, so just be happy about your Falcon/IW covers that you wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

    Yeah it definitely trickled down a lot my alliance nearly hit nearly 20k as well and we have the D3 response so ill move on. Also just to stick it to me kyip turned out to be in my season 1 bracket he only got to number 4 but still just throwing it in my face one last time.

    I woke up late this morning to a +240 swing in my bracket, saw that I was at 895 and said YOLO.... and gunned for 1100.... and made it icon_lol.gif

    There were so many points in the system that I rode to over 1000 on 2** rosters alone, and only had to focus on 3*** transition teams to reach 1100. The only real risk I took was to max boost to beat a team with max Spidey and Punisher that was in the 1400s for +41 to save a fight a gamble that the fight alone was enough to reach 1100 (it was).

    Shielded at 1101... which was good enough for 7th place in my bracket. Top 10 required over 1000 points for the Punisher Green cover, which is completely out of whack.

    Either some serious nerfage is going to happen here, or point spreads for prizes are going to become as wide as the Grand Canyon if this is the new norm for PvP.

    As much as I love to have the X-Force Wolverine, it is not worth pushing anymore as from the time I shielded until now I have 'lost' 200 points. I'm happy that I got the Falcon and IW covers, and getting Wolvie will be considered a bonus. icon_e_smile.gif

    I slept in so grats on your xforce yellow. icon_eek.gif It seems the Curse of the yellow Xforce still plagues me yet icon_lol.gif

    I don't know which is crazier: The Ladder hitting 2000 or the guy throwing up a 24 hour shield racking up over 700 points in wins.

    I got a bizarrely easy bracket in Top Gun, and now my XForce is at 0/0/4. What am I going to do with a 0/0/4 XForce? (The same thing I would do with a 1/1/2 XForce; nothing)

    Honestly, I don't care about the point inflation (unless it nerfs progression rewards) from this tournament. I think people would care a lot more though if the season prizes were worth a damn.

    I've said prior to this tournament I wasn't going to gun for a super high season placement because the rewards simply aren't worth it. The HP spent on shields likely wouldn't be recouped by those Heroics

    I actually may have lost to Kyip now that I know his team. Stupid cascade giving 18 purple to OBW. icon_evil.gif

    But it's over. Not like it happened in the shield training going the rest of the season.

    Unless Kyip is shielded there, too.

    lol...yeah, there were a few crazy cascades I ran into as well. The AI is talented at making just the right tiles land in just the right spots

    Would not be surprised if they raised the point requirement for the last two progression rewards again after this
