Can you tell us what the Bonus Rewards after Story missions will consist of. Will it basically be SHIELD Intercept awards without the videos? How many can we expect? Right now it's up to 20 random rewards per day.

Also, I imagine the video ads were a decent revenue source for MPQ, will this affect the game in any way? Are the devs looking to bringing a similar video ad feature again in the future?

If you're a VIP, nothing should change for you. Let not your heart be troubled. The only change is that by removing videos, FTP cats miss out on CP, Elite and Heroic tokens in exchange for added ISO/CP for all. VIPs/purchasers on ALL platforms will still have the chance for bonus rewards as they have previously existed only for iOS and Android.

Couldn't the intercepts just have become not intercepts? Just go with a system where playing a certain number of missions allows using the Daily Advaultisements. Having gameplay interrupted is a problem in a game designed with time-sensitive competition, and the "interruption" design may have been the main source of instability.
Or maybe "Watch an advetisement" could be a secondary way to heal when health packs run dry. Overall, I think I'm okay with no intercepts since it was broken so often and relied on VIP to give consistent rewards.

@Brigby Not sure I understand this figure: "150,000 Iso-8 (60% more than before!)" We currently get 4,700 iso per day from DDQ, that's 141,000 per month. If the 150,000 is accurate, we're only getting 300 more iso per day, a measly 6.25% increase. Unless you mean "additional 150,000"? If so, we're getting a 106.25% increase. (Not that I'd have any complaints about that  ).

Even though watching an ad was tedious and annoying sometimes, I still got a good handful of elite tokens and heroic tokens. Now earning those 3 stars and  4 stars is going to take even longer......

• 1750 Iso-8 at 1861 points
• Elite token at 3975 points
• 10 HP at 7312 points
• 3250 Iso-8 at 14000 points
• Taco Token at 22000 points

Probably refers to progressions and not the 1700 from node rewards. Going from 90k in progressions to 150K monthly in progreasions.

I'd like to echo that this is great news for Steam users...

Although I'm a bit confused to why they couldn't have done this before for paying steam users? - not that I was one, but for my fellow master race brethren I feel this is the big question on everyone's lips. On their chapped lips.

This is terrible news. While I'm excited that finally Steam players will get their share, I didn't realize that would come at the expense of everyone else.

I'm excited to get more ISO and GO in DDQ, but I'm sad to lose out on the extra tokens and cp. Oh well. I somehow knew they were too good for this world!

The ones losing out are fully free players. I know it may not be an option for some, but even the smallest purchase will unlock the bonuses.

They aren't gone! Just reserved for folks who spend at least 2 bucks a month.

If it's like the current system, then any purchase, even the $1.99 purchase, will get you 28 days of rewards. 

You don't need to drop $10 on VIP, and if you use Google surveys, you usually earn about $2/month from it anyhow.

At least we can get rid of the bugged adverts now, but I will kinda miss them. However, a further quality of life update should be made to DDQ at this point: the standard token prize should be changed to an
elite, and the elite to a heroic.

That really does show how screwed Steam players have been thus far.

I need to read up on what the Bonus stuff is though. Since I'm a Steam player and have never had anything to do with intercepts, I've basically stayed away from the conversation since I've nothing to add. I barely know what any of that stuff is.

Bummer. It was the only time I was never annoyed with an add in a game. Granted sometimes I would chose to watch the ad, not get an ad and therefore, no reward. I also went went months without getting the ad pop up. However the rewards were nice. Glad to see DDP is getting some reward boosts. Nice feature, but I'd rather have a better functioning game.

This is the best news I've heard in this game since...intercepts were announced, at least.

I calculated last week and I'm down 1.5 MILLION ISO to non-Steamers. A couple free champed 4*'s would be nice, but I'm glad to see something happen before that disparity grows.

Intercepts wouldn't make an impact that huge. I've been VIP for pretty much since it became a thing, and I'm currently pulling down around 30k a day as a prog+ pve'er, good for champing a 4* from 70 in just a hair under two weeks. I'd wager 5-10k of that comes from intercepts.

So VIP members will still get rewards as if we were still getting the signal intercepts, correct?  If so, will the rewards still be the same?

Everyone will get more rewards from DDQ now, whether they're VIP or not, correct?
