You will see that quickly becomes the norm rather than the exception.0 -
I have been getting rid of covers recently too as I only need certain ones for specific heroes. It sucks that they changed how the alliance got the third cover as an award as now it is impossible for me to collect all 3 covers in a PvP. Just have to hope for a lucky token draw as it takes forever for some events to come back around to get more covers for the ones you missed.0

Dormammu U is shopping for a new member for Season VI. We have one member retiring after the end of the current season, so the position will not be open until AFTER the alliance rewards are distributed.
A little about us: We are currently a top 25 alliance, and have finished in the top 100 every season except season 1. Last season we finished in 27th place, we are currently in 17th this season and all our PVP events this season have been top 25 finishes. Our alliance chat thread here records our scores and finishes, as well as our expectations. Anyone applying should take a read through the previous posts to see if they think they will fit in.
We do not have much turnover, we value our members and we don't think we set unreasonable expectations. Our rules are simple, we expect 600 point minimums in PVP, and participation in PVE events, with focused participation if a new character is released in a particular PVE. Similar to some other alliances, we have thresholds at which we will kick members, but ours come with a nice twist. You can be kicked if you don't meet the 600 point minimum in two consecutive PVPs, or three in the same season. This ONLY applies if you have not let the alliance know beforehand that you will be unable to participate. If you communicate, all is forgiven as other members will know we need to pick up the slack and can plan accordingly.
Now, a little about what we are looking for: We are looking for a member that can easily and routinely achieve 800+ points in PVP, has at least one cover from the new characters (Captain Marvel, Beast, Deadpool), and preferably is transitioning into 3* land with maybe one or two maxed 3* characters. We desire someone with the new characters to open required nodes in PVE, in case you were wondering. The average score for our alliance in PVP is right around 900 mathematically, with some scoring over, some under, but few only hit the 600 minimum, most do push to the 900 event token progression reward. Lastly, as you will read in our thread, we want to have fun, talk in the chat, and not make this game a second job. By being able to achieve 800 points with little effort, a prospective member will be much less likely to burnout trying to keep up, and will likely stay for the long haul. We only have a few members that go over 1300 points, so don't think you have to put up insane points either.
I'm posting this a little over a day early to give people a chance to look us over, compare our progress with your own, and decide if we mesh or not. If you think you have what it takes, PM me with some details on your roster, season score (as an indicator), normal PVP scores, and current Shield training score. Feel free to ask questions. If you cannot PM yet, you don't have the required 5 posts and should go to the off topic portion of this forum, specifically viewtopic.php?f=15&t=13454 and make your posts in the thread specifically designed for this purpose.0 -
To be honest...while I do not intend to be so low score wise against the competition I face, max 3 's with 166 levels and the 249 featured, sometimes it is just a miracle to hit the 600 mark. Tanking like the Germans during the blitzkrieg of early World War 2 has helped a little but only until about 500 and not 400 like before.
But to put it in perspective for any possible new recruits: I came into the alliance as a top 2 player with every character except Patch and Human Torch. I was missing covers like a homeless man misses a rooftop. I now have a fully covered IM40, almost Sentry, almost Hood, Psylocke, lazy Thor, almost lazy Cap, almost Daredevil, Doom, Spider-Man, Patch, Human Torch, and almost Falcon. Now I have to respec on a few but the potential is there to succeed in 3 land. All I need is to level which is totally on me as an individual.
Our commanders are very understanding as they themselves have needed breaks during the Seasons but have always been in communication with the alliance. Even when a few of us had phone issues they graciously saved our spots and only filled temps in for scores but we very unlucky few were gladly let back in as soon as our accounts were restored.
If you as a player want success, if you want covers, if you want to not have to spend real money in this game but want to continue playing then this alliance is your best bet to remain F2P but also perform extremely high while doing so. I think I can speak for all members when I say we each have a net gain in when playing overall.0 -
Congrats everyone, great job! I'll put up my normal ranking posts tomorrow (actually later today now...), but we finished 20th in Top Gun, making a clean sweep for top 25 finishes this season! Speaking of which, we finished 16th for Season V, very very respectable considering 30676 alliances are listed as competing in the season! We were two behind S.H.I.E.L.D, and above Lost Legion, Pandas of Doom, 5DB, just to name a few. All that and we still easily got the alliance cover for Colossus for everyone in PVE. I'm really proud to be part of this alliance, and very proud of you guys.
We will be bringing in a new member between seasons to replace Ads_2013, and we wish him and his little one the best as they go through some trying times. We have already gotten a few applications, and standings like we have now allow us to choose instead of having to work hard trying to convince people they want to join. I'm sure Pork will agree, we used to have to fish hard to find some of you to join, and have had people join and leave within a few days before, even though we were still finishing in the top 100. Your work during the season makes our jobs much easier now.
We are now in the break between seasons, our minimum requirements are suspended until the beginning of next season as we did before. I'd ask everyone to do what they feel comfortable in PVP, and we would still like to make top 100, but we don't need unnatural acts to shoot for top 10 land. This is our time to relax a little, recharge, and get ready for the next season. Go open your tokens, upgrade your characters, and dream of free ISO.
Good luck out there and see you in the chat!0 -
Hi again everyone, so it's the end of the season and as promised it's time for me to leave. A big thank you for letting me stay till the end of the season, X-Force is a beast now so very happy to get a cover!
As I said before, I've had a great time on this alliance and you really are a great bunch of guys. Thank you all for your kind words of support.
Best of luck for the future, even though I'm sure you don't need it! hopefully I'll still see some of you around!0 -

I'm still sorting through applications for the alliance for next season, and waiting to see if more come in. FYI, IronMan123 will be on vacation the end of this week, and we thank him for arranging his vacation time to coincide with the break between seasons. Now that is dedication...
Enjoy the break, you should all be proud of yourselves for what we accomplished this season. I know many of you were able to significantly develop your rosters with the rewards the alliance reaped, and it just keeps getting better! The spreadsheet is updated with all events: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... Yk/pubhtml
Good luck out there and see you in the chat!0 -
Great Job everyone on the season! I was very surprised that Beast or Kuangster didn't catch me for 1st. I'm glad to get my belt back, but will likely relinquish it next season.0

I had a lot of fun this season, which had many firsts for me; first time winning a PVP, first time getting to 1300 in a PVP, first time being #1 of this alliance at the end of a PVP (not easy with such fine competition)... I ended as #5 amongst you, which I am pretty content with, as well as #31 in my Season bracket. Won quite a few fine covers. All good! And of course playing in this alliance has been an excellent experience, kudo's to y'all and "management" in particular.
Sadly Magneto's nerf has put a dent in my scores for now, I am still trying to adjust for that. (I don't have a decent Sentry.) But I definitely will soldier on and I am looking forward to playing with you guys in S6!0 -
For those with high level Sentrys and Thors, which is a better investment in iso in order to climb in PVP? I have a maxed sentry and get 2-3 games out of him with hood before replacing my whole team's health. Is Thor better?0
-
They are both great, but for different purposes. IMHO, Sentry is an end game, shield hopping character. You are spot on that you will only get a few matches out of him before it is health pack time. In general in the post R60 world, I have been using LThor to do my climbing, often paired with Spidey to minimize the damage. That team has gotten me to 700-800 each time with minimal healing, just don't take on a Hulk recklessly.0
-
Yeah my scores for the two events following the Avengers PVP (only one of which should involve season 6 anyway) may be below the standard. I'll be happy to make up the lost points in other season events so as not impact the alliance's overall production by the time we're done though.
Thanks so much for taking me on this season guys. Like the other testimonials already posted we've had some great leadership and I know I've gotten better just being here. Thank you.0 -

Thor is great pre-900 points when your climbing but is slow.
Sentry is your over 900 shield hop guy. If you boost, he can win matches in 2 turns with a decent board.0 -
Greetings all!
My in game name is Morak. I like fine dining, sunsets and 5000 placement rewards.
I was one of the first 20 members of TerranDominion, rode the Thorverine train to its nerftastic end and abused the 2 blue Spidey stun with the best of them. I joined MPQ during the first run of The Hunt when 2* Hawkeye seemed to be one of the best characters in the game. Oddly enough, CMags never appealed to me.
I try to join at an advantageous time and push PVP late enough to save on shields but early enough not to get pummeled by the hoarde. I am not ashamed I dump some money into because I believe MPQ is a good product and IceIX should paid well enough to be able to work one job. That and an appreciation for the game being ad-free.
I look forward to the coming months and getting to know everyone.0 -
I want to let everyone know, I transfer to my next command this week. I will be going to a school in between, for which I leave Saturday, will be in the school all next week, then I have a bit of travel to do before I get back home. I'll be driving, so I'm not exactly sure how all this will affect my scores next week. Hopefully not too badly, but I have no idea what the exact time commitment will be for the one week school.
In addition, since I'll be gone I would like if someone could keep up with posting our standings as the best I can hope for will be hotel Wi-Fi on my iPad while I'm gone. If someone gets the scores and standings down here, I can update the spreadsheet when I get back.
I will also have to see how my new job will affect my scores after I start, which will be in mid-October. While I might not put up the 1300-1400 scores after I start, I think I'll be all right until the beginning of next year, at which point I'll have to take a leave of absence from the alliance for a bit. Just want to be up front with everyone.
In the meantime, great job at slacking off and taking it easy, I think we are still in the top 10 in PVP. Seems to be a theme with us - "We want to take it easy this season" = shift from top 50 to top 25, "We don't care about this PVE" = what the heck, 11th place finish. Well, keep on not caring, it seems to work for us!0 -
I can step in for a while and update the stats of the alliance as events close out. Can't make any promises on adding wit and charm as I have none of either.0
