And the last event between the seasons is now over. Nefarious foes was our last chance to officially coast before the start of Season 5, and we coasted into 62nd place out of 24777 alliances, with 10756 points. Our finish earned us Psylocke black, 1000 ISO, and 50 HP. Individual stats to follow:

    Beast1970 - 956 (swear I wasn't trying to beat you, Jim)
    Jim1200 - 948
    blacklist47 - 802
Apkahym - 794 (Congrats on your top 5 finish!)
Bobby Digi - 778 (Congrats on your top 5 finish as well!)
    Felux - 764
    FOAD - 708
    Kuangster - 648
    PorkBelly - 601
    solesoulsorrow - 525
    entrailbucket - 509
    Spanntastic12 - 447
    Jameson2014 - 400
    Proximity - 353
    Ads_2013 - 318
    Neilorax - 311
    Ratfink845 - 308
    pbrownusmc - 301
    White1 - 177
    Nintenji - 108

Next up is Too Many Secrets, featuring Nick Fury. Don't forget to use the loaner when needed to avoid using health packs! Rewards are Punisher green, and the 1300 progression reward is Nick Fury yellow! The event tokens also have Nick in them, which are rewarded at 300 and 900 points.

Don't forget to leave some feedback here letting everyone know if you need the covers for the next PVP to let us know how much above our 600 we need to push to ensure rewards. This event may see a lot of higher scores due to Nick at 1300, so we may need to do a bit extra if we want the covers.

Good luck out there and see you in the chat!

The secret is out, Too Many Secrets is over. Great job to everyone, we finished in 17th place out of 25640 alliances with 18635 points, both of which are new alliance records! Individual stats to follow, using my new spreadsheet for additional comments. High scores are according to what I have recorded since everyone joined the alliance:

    Jim1200 - 1386 (new personal high score)
Kuangster - 1368 (new personal high score)
    Beast1970 - 1341
    White1 - 1329 (new personal high score)
FOAD - 1315 (new personal high score)
entrailbucket - 1310 (new personal high score)
    PorkBelly - 1304
    Solesoulsorrow - 1303
Felux - 1169 (Actually broke 1300 and got Fury, forgot to shield in all his excitement... also new personal high score)

Great job to all those above, you all earned a Nick Fury yellow progression reward! Impressive having 9 members break the 1300 barrier in one event!

    pbrownusmc - 924
    blacklist47 - 810
    Jameson2014 - 759 (new personal high score)
    Bobby Digi - 746
    Ratfink845 - 726
    Spanntastic12 - 642
    Apkahym - 622

    Neilorax - 482
    Ads_2013 - 471
    Proximity - 429
    Nintenji - 199

For the bottom four, this is a reminder we stated the PVP goal is 600 points, and if you have a reason for an event you cannot meet the goal, let us know beforehand.

I have finished the spreadsheet documenting everything we have data for, I have event placement data back to Fatal Attraction on May 19th, individual data starts for Fatal Attraction on May 28th. PVE data is also included for the events they posted the results tab. I also have our Seasons data starting with Season 2. I'll edit this post and put in a link once I figure out how I'm going to put it online. It is actually fun and interesting to scroll the events and see the player progression and development! High score for the event is in bold red text, personal high has the cell filled in green, cells filled in yellow indicate less than 600 points. Current members are the top 20, former members have been moved to the bottom but still retained for stats. Once interesting thing to me, since we started recording scores in May, we have turned over 11 members (one of which only stayed for a single event, and have one temp listed, aeonblue08 who filled in for one event). Seeing the other alliances post, I think we are on the way low end for member turnover. Great job to all that make this a fun and loyal alliance.

Next up is Army of One, in which the reward is Daredevil. No Nick in the progression rewards, this one should be a bit calmer than the last.

Good luck out there and see you in the chat!

Edit: Almost all the pretty conditional highlighting didn't translate from Excel to Google Sheets. The only one that survived was highlighting less than 600 points in a PVP. I'll keep working at it, and if anyone is good with Google Sheets, feel free to help figure out how to make a conditional format formula that will highlight high score for each column, and separately for each row.

Thanks Beast for compiling that information. I think it would be interesting to look at.
  • That's awesome. I think it's going to be a great motivation to best ourselves.

Hurray! It was pretty thrilling. It may also have made me more ambitious...

Awesome work, Beast, both on the data collection and the spreadsheet. I discovered myself that Google Sheets and conditional formatting do not seem to go very well together. Time permitting I will try and see if I can help with it somehow.

Army of One has marched on. Again, great job, we finished in 20th place out of 24308 alliances with 15519 points, now at two in a row in top 25! Our finish earned us Daredevil blue, 3000 ISO, and 100 HP. Individual stats to follow:

FOAD - 1385 (Great job on first place!)
    Jim1200 - 1233
    Beast1970 - 1122
    Kuangster - 1109

Next up is Blind Justice, in which the reward is Falcon. Again, no Nick in progression or rank rewards.

So for this event, we had five people less than 600. The commanders discussed things, and here is what we are going to do. Two of the five had reasons for not breaking their 600 that were communicated. They end up in the no harm no foul category. One was very close, at 576, that will also be given a pass. We are setting a policy for the others:

    1. Any two consecutive finishes in PVP less than 600 points with no communications will result in replacement.
    2. Any three finishes in the same season in PVP less than 600 points with no communications will result in replacement.

These can be seen graphically on the spreadsheet. I highlight all people less than 600. Those that had communication get highlighted in yellow, and those don't count against them. Those without communication are in red. Also, events between seasons are not being counted for this, and you will see I have removed all highlighting for those periods.

I know this may sound a bit harsh, but the key really is the communication bit. PorkBelly and myself spend an inordinate amount of time PMing back and forth about whether we should replace such and such based on their scores, and lack of response to PMs. We want the alliance to succeed, and feel this is a fair way to enforce our goals. We are hoping this won't cause a constant turnover, but will instead make the alliance more stable and transparent, and maintain the rewards we use to improve our rosters. As always, we welcome feedback on this.

On a separate note, I'm still not entirely satisfied with how the spreadsheet is looking for you guys. I can lock the first column for my view, but when it publishes the column will be unlocked causing names to scroll off screen. I'll continue to look at solutions until I get something I'm happy with. I refuse to put up the link sharing the actual sheet as it contains my real full name, and I'd prefer not to open another google account just to maintain the sheet, but that may be the best solution. In any case, the link is above this dialog, feel free to review!

Good luck out there and see you in the chat!
  • Sorry guys, I've been trying to get situated with my classes. Ill be up again as soon as I can.
  • Firm but fair.

    I can dig it!

I am quite probably merely confused, but how is the green marking supposed to work? My score in AoO was both my personal best and highest one of our alliance, but it is not green, so what does "highest score recorded" mean?

Rather than harsh, it all sounds rather fair. On joining this alliance we all committed ourselves to certain goals and it behooves us to try and attain them. I didn't perform to expectations in several earlier events but I do believe I have mended my ways. The game is better for all of us when we work together on attaining the stated goals. So let's keep rocking this game together. icon_e_smile.gif
Good luck out there and see you in the chat!
Thanks again to you and the other commanders for your work. icon_e_smile.gif

It is working as intended... Actually, fixed it, sorry about that! My excel spreadsheet did that with conditional formatting, but I can't get Google sheets to do the same function and forgot I had to do the comparisons manually for highest scores.
  • I know my 600 has been low recently. It should pick up now that my second job realized I'm not full time there. Only two days off to really grind in the last 3 weeks. But I definitely plan on getting back to minimum 800s.
  • Noted on the post and completely agree on what commander's opinions. The commanders have been doing a great job in managing the alliance and I am so so glad that I was invited to be a member of this team! icon_razz.gif

And i hope other guys really commit to this alliance, unless any of you have already lost interest in the game or something. As for me, after since i joined this alliance, I felt motivated to push on my PvP scores to at least 1000+ on a regular basis (as compared to my 500-600 points in my previous alliance that i built). Just knowing that there are a bunch of guys who is trying to push even further to 1300+ make me feel that we are moving as a team to ensure we are having good placement in every event, and I really really appreciate that (shoutout especially to Jim and Beast!). This motivates me even more as I am now targeting to surpass their points this season (Seems quite un-achievable though) icon_e_confused.gif

So I just hope everyone feels the same way too. See you guys in chat!

*P/S Felux I am sorry that I hit you during the last PvP event, it seems that this is my common mistake (hitting alliance members in events), I will try to be more careful in the future.
  • This is logical, if you can't do 600 this event or can't be active for some time, just say it. It's not like it would kill you, right?)
Completly agreed, this is not harsh by any means, this is how it suppose to be.

Well said Beast. Sorry I have not been very social much lately. Work has been crazy. Just trying to squeeze in as much grinding as I can. I will also be out of town this weekend, so I'm not sure how much that will impact my points. We'll find out what kind of cell coverage I have. Great job everyone on the last PVP too! So much for not caring too much icon_e_biggrin.gif

ISO-8 Brotherhood is over, providing SOME members with multiple Nick Fury's from event tokens (I'm looking at you, Jameson). For the rest of us mere mortals, at least we got a bunch of ISO to level our rosters. The alliance finished in 11th place out of 27903 alliances with 1750214 points. Our finish earned us Patch green, 2000 ISO, and 100 HP. This is also a new record placement for us in PVE, which will come in handy starting tomorrow... Individual stats to follow:

    Jim1200 - 146204
    Felux - 141180
    entrailbucket - 131153
    Beast1970 - 118356
    blacklist47 - 109990
    Bobby Digi - 104226
    PorkBelly - 102136
    Apkahym - 99314
    Jameson2014 - 99147
    Kuangster - 95199
    Neilorax - 88579
    Spanntastic12 - 82703
    White1 - 81980
    Ratfink845 - 76639
    FOAD - 75722
    Proximity - 56188

    pbrownusmc - 25638
    Nintenji - 20385

We don't know what the name of the next PVE is, but we know the reward... Beast will be introduced in the PVE starting Friday! Obviously, I want one, and just as obviously, the alliance will be pushing in this one as we all want to get a new character! We also may want to reconsider how much we push this season, IceIX gave us a teaser saying X-Force is about to get his buff, and his health power will be a big part of it. The reward this season is X-Force yellow, so it might make sense for us to push a bit more. I would expect to see a re-run of the all Wolvie PVP (Best There Is) after the buff comes in, so plan accordingly.

If you haven't noticed, I have the PVE's in the spreadsheet as well, there is a tab at the top left of the spreadsheet that will show that page. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... k/pubhtml#

Good luck out there and see you in the chat!
  • Hey, I offered to fly around and pull tokens for everyone in chat icon_razz.gif

Beast using Beast? You should get 2x tile damage for that... just saying.

Will there be a minimum in pve this time around?
  • Will there be a minimum in pve this time around?
There better be! We already decided as an alliance that hitting the nodes once every 12 hours with a grind the last hour was enough effort in PvE. This worked pretty well this PvE but new characters always brings the barracudas out for some action. Hoping for some top 100 alliance action.

Something tells me we have top 100 on lock. I'm hoping for another top 20!
  • So, to open a new discussion, what do you guys think are the best Team Ups (I'm sure there is a forum thread on this). I don't use team ups in battle because it's a pain in the butt to reload them after every match, so I basically hold on to them for defensive purposes. I had about half of them as 166 World Ruptures, but those won't be used anymore. So now I'm respecing my TUs.

I have several black panther 166 blacks, some hulk red and greens, a magneto purple, punisher red, a fury yellow, some hood yellows, a iron man red, and green bw sniper rifle, and multiple lthor yellows. They all have 5 covers. I know most of them are high cost. Any that you would recommend ditching? Any that you like to collect for defense?

    Discuss away,
    Joshua
  • I tend to dump anything over the cost of 10, and anything that just plain sucks. Lol
