Hi guys, thought it was about time I sent a message to everyone to explain myself and my actions over the course of this season.

I'm afraid that due to some health issues with my little lad I've not had much time to get on the game, obviously this is no excuse especially when others in the alliance have new borns and are still posting good scores.

Today I intended to make a big push at the end of the tournament, however this was cut short by an Emergancy visit by a doctor, in which time I was hit while forgetting to shield.

It's not fair on the alliance to continue being this unreliable and with no indication of my circumstances changing anytime soon I feel the right thing to do is leave the alliance and allow the recruitment of a much more valuable and worthy member.

If possible I would love to stay till the end of the current season, as we're only 4 days away it would be a shame to leave now (will make sure to reach the required quota in the remaining tournaments) However should the commanders feel i should leave now I will, and hold no grudges or bad feelings.

While I've not been very vocal this is with no doubt the best alliance out there. Not because we're placing top all the time but because it's one of those rare alliances where the commanders care. I wish everyone the best of luck and you never know, if I can start performing reliably again I might even be allowed back in

Ratfink, no one needs to ask, everyone should feel free to make posts like that here.

I also vote we keep Ads to the end of the season, he has put in the effort and I feel it would be pretty mean to not share the reward for the work. Not speaking for him, but I would guess PorkBelly will feel the same way, especially with only two events left until we get a pretty much guaranteed X-Force.

On the note of having to deal with Classic Magneto.

I feel that with his new colors and new abilities that 5 red for Captain Marvel is now a necessity. Those protect tiles are now quite a hindrance to the Daken/Sentry combo nullifying almost all damage from World Rupture.

Fly-Fight-Win has flown, fought, and won! Top 25 number eight in a row, another great job by all! We finished in 19th place out of 24443 alliances with 16933 points (almost 3000 less than our last finish, but points were down all over). We were rewarded with Loki purple, 3000 ISO, and 100 HP. Next up is God of Lies, in which the reward is Falcon (an excellent character in this day and age).

As you find character combos that are working well, please drop posts in here to help the rest of us. Doesn't matter what level you have or who you are fighting, a bunch of our guys are trying to find a new meta now that C Mags is totally different than before. Every little bit helps. If you are struggling to figure out what to do and find yourself out of health packs after gaining 50 points, drop a request post stating what you are currently doing, and one of us can always take a look at your roster and make some suggestions. This is what an alliance is for (besides just rewards) and I for one don't want to see people quitting out of frustration when some well timed advice might be all you need to improve your game.

Not that anyone was in extremis, but we won't be holding this event's 500-600 point bracket against anyone as we all adjust to R60. We would still like everyone to do their best in the next two events, they are the last in the season and it would be nice to sweep the whole season with Top 25 finishes, and valuable to impending recruitment efforts to demonstrate we actually ARE a top 25 alliance!

Hi all, here are my thoughts on the current metagame after the R60 patch.

Ever since c.magneto has been significantly nerfed, it seems that the game now favours much on heavy tankers such as black pathers, sentry, hulk, thor. These is because these fellas has very high hp with heavy hitting skills (rage of pather, supernova, anger, call of the storm etc etc).

Even though i agree with most people that Patch still provides speedy PvP matches, without the c.magneto combo, he alone does not possess any deadly threat anymore (especially when Berserker Rage is a double edge sword). Personally, I think everyone should now focus on building defensive team as defensive wins are now more viable as compared to the pre-R60 era. I myself is focusing on maxing my L.Daken (level 163) and will move on to try building Hulk or Sentry.

Currently, I still can't figure out my strongest PvP team. I'm still testing around with what I have at the moment, mainly switching between L.Daken, Patch, Spidy (just because his purple) and Punisher. In the long run, I definitely will favour something that combo well with Hood (can't use him just yet as I only have his blue at 2). I can say almost 40-50% of the players are now using the Hood + Sentry combo.

Let me know what are your thoughts. Any suggestions and feed backs are most welcome. I hope to go back to the 1300 gang soon. The previous PvP was a tough one for me, and I dont think it will be any easier any time soon.

I think that I am going to start running X - force, with GSBW. And then pair with Hulk or whatever the featured character is. I think her purple and his green are going to clean up.

X-Force is a beast now. I got slaughtered a couple of times in sim by 200 level X-force. I would say he is definitely the new OP character. I have not found any great combos yet, but I have used LDaken, Patch, and Pun a bit in sim and the matches go by pretty quick especially if you drop Berserker, Molotov, Retribution, and Chem Reaction. You can easily take out any big teams. Just takes a little time to build the AP.

The real results are in from the Simulator. We finished in 22nd place out of 27122 alliances with 2631739 points, earning us Modern Thor red, 2000 ISO, and 100 HP. The brackets for PVE are 1-2, then 3-50, so another top 50 finish, but we have also finished all this season's PVEs in the top 25, great job! Individual stats to follow:

Beast's LThor and Spider-Man suggestion seems to be working well for me, and I was surprised at how well the LDaken/HT suggestion worked even though neither has a ton of HP. So if folks are wondering about trying them I'd recommend it.

Looking at Colossus the push towards making protect tiles at least somewhat desirable seems to be continuing. With yellow and another protect generator like Falcon or cMag and you could be in for some loooong matches.

Hey guys, I was just browsing through the forum and saw that people were commenting that Sentry can basically end a match in 3 rounds (when boosted). How does it really work? I nvr used the sentry combo before.

First you need a decently leveled Sentry with 5 green and a Daken with 5 purple and black. Then you use both the Stockpile to all AP and the Green/Black Stockpile to put 6 Green at the start of the match. Then make 1 Green match and deploy World Rupture the second turn. After turn 3 the enemy should be close to wiped out and all you have to do is finish off the last man standing.

This is how I shield for free as it is almost impossible not to take damage when fighting these two. Most people will skip this combo as the points aren't worth the damage taken when below a certain threshold of points.

If your Sentry build has 5 in yellow and green, it doesn't matter who you pair him with. Boost with the stockpile all AP, a green/black, and a yellow/red. One match for green, one match for yellow, and you can use World Rupture and Sacrifice, end of game! A lot of people match with L Daken for the additional strike tiles, or a Hood with 5 black which will allow them to force the World Rupture one turn earlier (and also helps slow the match down on defense, causing a lot of people to skip). It is expensive but highly effective and is generally used above 900 for quick shield hopping.

I just want to give everyone a heads up that I had been conversing with Beast and Pork about taking a break after this season. Work and life are a little crazy now and in the near foreseeable future. Beast and Pork are allowing me to stick around as long as I keep in line with the numbers they have outlined for everyone. So, if you see my numbers down from the craziness that I some times put up, know that I am cutting back for a little and may not have as much time to play as I have been. I greatly appreciate Beast and Pork for allowing me to stick around. We have fantastic leaders that care about how this alliance performs. If I know that my numbers will slip for a while, I may actually withdraw myself from the alliance. This is a great alliance and I am very proud to be apart if it. Hopefully things will get better in the near future and I can contribute more.

Next up is Top Gun, in which the reward is Captain America Steve Rogers. This is the last event of the season, this would be the time to check your season standing and decide what you need to do depending on the season reward you are pushing for. Don't forget that Shield training is available to get some extra points if needed to help bump you to that next reward bracket.

Running at the same time is Juggernaut: Heroic featuring the new Colossus. As always, we are pushing to ensure we get top 100 so everyone gets at least one cover of the new character. As I type this, we are at 98th with almost half the alliance not yet starting this event (including me). IceIX posted a little bit ago that they tweaked things for this event such that the rubberband is much weaker, so I'd recommend you don't wait too long to jump in.
