Are you talking about the sig graphics? You need to have it hosted online somewhere, I use imgur for free. Then go to the user control panel, you will find an option for sigs. Here is where imgur helps, when you view a graphic there that you uploaded, on the right hand side of the screen they have links in various formats to cut and paste. One option is for forums, copy that and paste into the sig entry in the user control panel.

If you are asking about something else, um, I don't know.

First off, I think they switched the game server and the forum server, this site is slow as all get out nowadays.

Season VI has begun. Alliance reward is X-Force green, which is actually worth something now that his buff is in effect. We should decide what our goal is as an alliance, as we have done in the last few seasons. If we vote to take it easy this season and slack off, I'm more than fine with that, as last time we started a season with that goal, we finished in 16th place.

Season IV: (27th place season finish)

So I wanted to pose a proposition - don't worry so much about the Season rewards.

I would like to be able to pick and choose which PvPs we want to go hard for and which we can slack on.
    <snip>.

Season V: (16th place season finish)

X-Force yellow is arguably worse than IW yellow.

So I vote to take this season on a PvP by PvP basis again.
    <snip>.

If this is our trend, I vote we all stop playing this season and see if we hit top 5!
  • I think this works, because no pressure makes us want to play as opposed to having to, imo.

    Love this alliance!

Children of the Atom is done with and it's time for all of us to decide where we want to place this season. We were 14th out of 26,648 alliances with 19,969 points, earning us Colossus yellowflag.png , 3000 iso8.png , and 100 spideycoin.png . This is our highest combined alliance score yet. Here's to more like it in the future. And another top 25 finish continuing our strong production from last season! Individual stats to follow:

    Kuangster - 1367
    Jim1200 - 1360
    Beast1970 - 1350
    FOAD - 1340
Jameson2014 - 1323 (Congrats on the new high score!)
    entrailbucket - 1304
    Morak - 1301
Congrats to the above for burning more imcoin.png than a hummer burns gas, oh and for getting all the progression rewards and placing top 5.
    solesoulsorrow - 1134
    Felux - 1065
    blacklist47 - 1011
    Ratfink845 - 958
    Proximity - 903
Bobby Digi - 845 (Two in a row getting the 800 progression 50 imcoin.png reward! Say what! Hopefully a sign that I am back in this! Top 10, somehow I hung on.)
PorkBelly - 819 (Level up that X-Force and you will make the X-Men tremble at the sight of you again, keep the faith.)
    White1 - 748
    Spanntastic12 - 744
    Velaic22 - 732
    Neilorax - 603
    pbrownusmc - 543
    IronMan123 - 519

Next up is Real Steel, in which the reward is blackflag.png The Hulk, Incredible of course. This is the first event of the season so decide what you need to do depending on the season reward you are pushing for. Don't forget that Shield training is available to get some extra points if needed to help bump you to that next reward bracket or to tank until the final week.

Also do not forget about The Gaunlet: Villains and Heroes PvE.

    Seriously.

It is really nice to be able to cruise to 600 points w/o seeing 3* teams especially if you are going to push in your bracket or go for a 1100 or 1300 progression award.

In between PvPs I usually push up 100 or so points in the sim & then tank down about 50. Keeps MMR manageable.
  • I use the sim for intense mmr management throughout the season. It really helps overall.

As an FYI for the alliance, IronMan123 will probably be short on points in the Colossus PVP, and Ratfink might be short all this week. I may be light on points myself this week.

Fixed both, I blame Morak. Shifting the sheet around to add new members to the active section messes with formatting where it shouldn't, from here on out I propose to only recruit people based on how their name fits in relation to who they are replacing.

I also discovered today I cannot control conditional formatting with the app, or if I can, I have not figured it out yet. As a result, anyone with 599 points or less will be highlighted until I get back home regardless of whether you notified us or not. Sorry, best I can do while I'm on the road and in school, but I WILL fix it.

FOAD, keep them coming and keep me honest, I don't mind at all!

  • New Topic: Synergy

Ok, as Beast mentioned, I am very busy studying for my Medical Boards that are tomorrow. Seeing as I am completely burnt out on studying, FOAD and I got to talking about a new imaginary game mechanic called Synergy (FOAD also wants anti-synergy, now renamed Thorn In My Side). The idea of synergy is to promote roster diversity and less reliance on on the same 2 characters plus PVP loaner.

For example, the PVP is based around Beast. Beast has the Synergy Genius, Hairball, and X-Man.
Other characters with Genius: Iron Man, Doom(?), Spider-Man. Synergy Effect when played together: These geniuses are always coming up with something new. When on the same team, new special tiles are invented every 4 turns (strike, protect, the other one).
Other characters with Hairball: Wolverine. Effect: I dunno, cut me some slack, I just came up with this.
Other characters with X-Man: The X-Men. Effect: through intensive training, these mutants work well together. All AP requirements reduced by 1.
These Synergies might make someone rethink their teams, instead of throwing in Thor, Hulk, Sentry, or Hood. Maybe even more bonuses is all three team members belong to the same Synergy.

    Other Synergies:
Symbiotic: Venom, Spidey. Every 5 turns a web tile is created.
Hell Hath No Fury: Storm, BP. Marriage is great, until it's not. 10% boost to match strength for first 15 turns, followed by -20% match strength for remainder of fight.
Gods Among Us: Thor, Sentry, Storm. Your enemies are ants to you. Crush them under your thumb. Every 8 turns, hit them all for 600 hp. Because you can.

    Thorn In My Side:
None invented yet. But, for example, Daken & Wolvie, Doc Ock & Spider, Punisher & Everyone, cuz he's an ****.

Also, FOAD wants Squirrel Girl in the game. So:
Talks to animals: Squirrel Girl, Falcon. Squeek-Cacaw! I have no idea what the effect is, but the animation is squirrels flying in on the backs of birds, and it is GLORIOUS! Then, when they introduce Ant-Man, the game breaks because of the AWESOMENESS of the team-up.

So, that's my idea. What do you guys think. Add your Synergies and Thorn In My Sides below. When I quit medicine, I will pitch the idea to D3, get hired, and maybe your idea can make it into the game.

Time to go back to studying,
    Joshua

I really do like the notion of synergy/TIMS. As stated in the chat I would prefer if it were based on the lore rather than "accidentally" shared characteristics like brains or claws, but it could work both ways I suppose. Lorewise obvious examples would be characters who are on the same team (of course with Wolverine that would be like everyone...) and people who just traditionally work really well together (say Cap + Falcon; Colossus + Wolvie could have an amazingly improved Fastball Special).

Gods Among Us: Thor, Sentry, Storm. Your enemies are ants to you. Crush them under your thumb. Every 8 turns, hit them all for 600 hp. Because you can.
So basically you'd tag the characters with some characteristics, and when you have more than one character on the team with that characteristic, you get a bonus. It's a nice way of doing it. Beast and Wolvie have both been X-Men and Avengers. Two Synergies?
    Thorn In My Side:
None invented yet. But, for example, Daken & Wolvie, Doc Ock & Spider, Punisher & Everyone, cuz he's an ****.
Then this'd require explicitly mismatching tags. Or maybe just stuff like "really_hates_Wolverine"?
Also, FOAD wants Squirrel Girl in the game.
Yes. Yes, I do. 5* character.
    Sheer. Bliss.

Well, apparently I've found out how this school will affect my scores. Glad we stayed in top 25 range. On a strange note, even finishing with only 761 points, I stayed in the top 10, and have no idea how or why that was possible other than the luckiest easiest bracket I have been in for months.

Speaking of scores, congrats to pbrown for landing a new job! Now that all that is done, his scores should return to normal. As I mentioned before, the red badge of shame in the spreadsheet comes from conditional formatting and I have been unable to have any effect on that via my iPad app, so I will remove those for the affected when I return home. As of this typing those would be Pbrown and ironman.
