Hey guys, just giving you a heads up that I will be in San Francisco for business this whole week starting today and I might be spotty in my ability to play as rumor is they are going to highjack out phones the beginning of each day. Some of the days we are supposed to have after hours get togethers with some of our executives, so not sure how it will all break out.

I'll try my best, but not really sure what to expect. I'll grind on pve and pvp today, the regular week stuff could be a challenge though.

For me this weekend actually seemed a little bit better on the game. Xomar I glad you are staying for a couple weeks yet. This group would not be the same with out you. If it was not for you I would have not been in the group to start with.

How in the world did did we go from grinding out a top 100 finish to seeming like we cruised to a Top 50 in the sentry event?

I meant to do a postmortem on the last two events but didn't record the data in time. Anyways if my memory serves me this is how the last two events broke down.

For Fresh Cut:
We finished in the top 100 and got the Sentry cover. We had one very low score but that was because of special circumstances. We also got some late points to put us over the top in the last minutes of the event.

For Starfall:
Alliance score was over 12,000 so we averaged at least 600. This was good enough for a top 50 finish in an event where patch was the reward.
I think our high was DIGB with over 900 and our lows were over 350.

Some thoughts:
Fresh Cut was a close one but we found a way to scratch out just enough points. It was a photo finish and win or lose it was fun.
Starfall featured the newly introduced Sentry, so if you had two good maxed characters you could do okay. Also, PVE ended simultaneously. It was interesting but probably not too informative going forward.
In general, I think the additional points came from all over which is good. The less we have to rely on individual scores the better.
We had a few scores below 400 in Starfall which is not good but inconsequential this time.

Overall, I think we should be happy. We got alliance covers for two events and even managed extra HP on one of them.

I found the joy for a little while with my buffed patch so helping out a bit more in this pvp. Shielded at 1099 lol. Will break and do 1 match more just for the fun of it. Dont need the covers but i know you guys do. Glad to be of help again.

Also, had an epic retaliation war against someone whos name i sadly forgotten at around 1000. He was at 900 and the only one worth some points to me. So i attacked, and he retaliated. He gained 33 points to my 23 from him.

But, sometimes i go stupid, mostly cause its fun, so i hit him again for 23 and he retaliates for 33. This goes on for atleast 10 fights if not more. Then i come out from a fight with him once more, expecting him to have retaliated again.

But he got shredded. +19 points defensive victory and thats the last i saw of him

I know i started it, but it feels so good knowing i ended it!

Haha correct rabbit altho the swede i was thinking about was Mikael Renberg who was infact a member of the dreaded Legion together with Lindros and Leclear. 300+ kilo of pure agression raining down was amazing.

If im correct you made a smart choise. Patch is amazing. You just need to build your team around him a bit more than the other chars and play him a bit more smart.

Well looks like we failed on this event. I was hoping to get the Black Panther covers but will fall short on the alliance and I couldn't pull a top ten. Thing is if we all had got the low of 400 we talked about we should have covered it. I was trying the best I could to climb but hit a wall between 700-800 I could not get thru.

Really sorry about that Dig. You are always a big contributor. Wish I could have squeezed out a couple of more wins for you but I hit that same wall. At the end, I used quite a few desperation boosts to try to push us over the top.
