KillerRabbit wrote:Really sorry about that Dig. You are always a big contributor. Wish I could have squeezed out a couple of more wins for you but I hit that same wall. At the end, I used quite a few desperation boosts to try to push us over the top.
No problem I made mistakes that turn to many wipes I used many Boost bought a 5 pack of Health packs and ended up right where I was. I just could not push through 800 at all. I never felt a brick wall hit back as hard as this one.0 -
We need to figure this out. Seems we decided 400 points from everyone for pvp. And if you cant play, you tell us.
Its reasonable and fair i think. Question is, how harsh are we willing to be? We can talk and talk but in the end the only thing that solves it is action. And in this game the only action we can take is kick.
3 strikes and you are out?0 -
I'm not sure how much weight my opinion carries since I've only been around for a little less than a month, but I'm perfectly fine with the three strikes idea. The only difficulty I see with that idea is that one of the low contributors this time around was a commander in the alliance; how does that work if something happens? I actually left my last alliance due to that type of situation (i.e. a couple of commanders never contributed and nothing could be done to remove them).
I'm usually a good contributor (I only made 400-something last PvP and 500-something before that, but I'm getting back into form lately, with ~740 this time around, I think) and I really needed more Black Panther to make my team more viable, so I'm particularly unhappy with what happened.
Edit: wanted to clarify that I'm not talking about Iningo (who said something about being unable to play much).0 -
The same as any word elusive. I didnt need the covers but im sorry for those of you that did and missed out.0
-
There was one player that had a low score and A commander that did not play at all plus Iningo (He still had more then the other 2) who said he could not play due to work. If either one had hit 300 we would have been just find. It would not seem so bad If I had not tried to buff and buy Health Packs to try and push over the edge0
-
They didn't even need to reach 300, we literally just needed 31 points to get #100 and snag the cover. That's what bothers me the most about it.0
-
The fact that you feel it worse cause you spent hp and boosts to help does not diminish the fact that they failed the alliance.
Like i said. 400 points is really not hard to get. For me its not the missed covers but the fact that not a word was uttered about not scoring. You can say that this is a casual mobile game all you want but when you join an alliance you are commited.
And if you dont pull your weight you dont honor that commitment.
So in that way im glad we didnt get the covers.
Seriously, and if something horrible has happened and you nearly died i apologise for this, but how hard is it to say, i cant play this event cause of blabla blabla.
Problem solved.0 -
It's been a bit crazy for me lately. It seems that they've changed the rules on PvE and now I'm in a **** MMR for PvP. PvP is definitely not going to be as easy for me now. As far as PVE, I was hoping to do better, but I missed a refresh and also read that refreshes are changed now. Can you guys confirm this?
As far as the Cage Match finish, we were very close and I do think that we need to hear from those that were sub-400 so that they can explain themselves. I would have loved that Panther cover, but I didn't push as hard partly because while it was smooth sailing at first, it seemed at the end that I was going through health packs like crazy and I really didn't want to spend HP on anything other than shields. I had already gone overboard trying to win Sentry and didn't want to do that again.
I think it's important we establish a communication protocol. Nothing crazy, just some way of letting the rest of us know what's going on and a general time frame in which to do this by. The only major issues I can think of that would prevent someone from communicating would be medical issues, power issues, and lack of internet issues. If someone is having somewhat constant issues that are preventing them from communicating, we need to decide how we are going to handle that.
Is it three strikes and you're out or is there another system that we would like to use? Besides three strikes and your out, perhaps we can have it that anyone that misses the goal should aim for at least 500 points in the next PvP (preferably more) to help make up the difference.
These are just some thoughts.
Guys, let me know what you think and feel free to add your own suggestions.0 -
The only problem I have with asking the players to "make up" their score is that getting 500 isn't going to get us back the cover we missed, and we should be hitting top 100 if everyone contributes the amount agreed upon, anyway. It'd help with season two totals, sure, but that's not enough for me.0

True. Not winning the cover has crippled my Black Panther, which certainly isn't going to help with this next PvP, which in turn hurts us in the season and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
As a side note, I have to get better at remembering which covers are being awarded because I got mixed up and thought we were getting a BP black cover for the Simulator as an alliance reward when that clearly wasn't the case.0 -
I'm not gonna do a recap of Cage Match because we all know how bad the ending was. Even with X putting up a monster number we still need a team effort. I personally didn't need the black alliance BP cover but it was still a shame to come so close and let down those who did. I know that Pigglesworth used a 24hour shield to preserve a 724 because she knew she'd be working during the end of the event. DIG also spent big on HP and boosts trying to finish high.
I do agree that, in a way, it is a good thing missing by 30pts happened because it brings the problem up front. I had personal concerns when the 400 minimum immediately went out the window on Starfall which was only the second event. But there's only so much I'm willing to do before I feel like I'm overstepping. Admittedly, those midday endings have always been killer for those of us working full-time, myself included, and the current MMR doesn't make it any easier to hit 400, myself included.
I can get behind instituting a three strikes rule for missing the minimum without notice even though, as Elusive mentioned, I'm not sure how well it can be enforced. Honestly, anything we agree to will probably be hard to enforce but that should not prevent us from trying. I personally think that communicating when you will miss an event and a minimum score of 400 when present is a fair and somewhat low standard.
Regardless, let's move on from that event whose name I will no longer speak and work on a good team effort for P&P. Let's hit that low mark of 400(besides Iningo) even if we have top 100 sewed up.0 -
Xormar you pathethic bastard - stop attacking me...
You attacked me like 8 times IN A ROW? for -237 in total?
you found yourself an enemy - good job genius
How big a **** you have to be to attack one person in a row that many times... idiot0 -

hi. Im sorry but i rarely notice the names when i attack. I usually just look at the points. Unless im beeing attacked myself.
and you know as well as i do that at certain points in this game, you dont have many targets.
It was not my intention of attacking you personaly but if you want to be mortal enemies, thats ok with me.
if you read this im now shielded at 1k so the retals should bring you back up.
and remember, its just a game.0 -
just a game...
and "not looking"... seriously - 8 times... that's the biggest **** move I have experienced in this game for the 130 days I have been playing it...
I will always be looking out for you whenever I can - I can understand 2-3 or even 4 times, but not 8 times in damn 30 minutes0 -
Belive what you want but i honestly dont look. What reason would i have to do that to you on purpose? To my knowlegde i cant remember you offending me untill now.
If you want to keep an eye out for me thats fine. I do love a fun retaliation war.
Dont really know what else to say. If you dont belive me i dont see how i can change your mind.0 -
Since I cooled down a bit I would like to apologize for any and all invectives used, however I do stand by my opinion that it is simply impossible to not look who you are fighting, or even not to see that you are fighting the same person for the Xth time - the "MMR bubble" is not that big a deal if attacks are spaced out between people who are fed by the system instead of by focusing on a single person...
However to be completely honest I must admit that I might have fought the same person 3 or 4 times during a push just because they were consistently over me in points, however I would NEVER allow it to become 8 or more attacks IN A ROW0 -
If i had remembered your name friend i would NOT have hit you 8 times. I simply would not.
If you read up in this thread i describe me getting into a retaliation war with another person.
His name i knew cause he attacked me and i hit him back several times. But the second i got a def win against him i could not remember his name.
I made that post just 30 min after and could not recall it. Im horrible with names, even when i do look.0 -
And i accept your apologise. I just hope you can accept mine.0
-
I'm not defending anyone here, but I honestly never look at the names of the people in my queue; I'm always waiting for the day I accidentally beat up my fellow alliance members. I'd be upset if it turned out someone attacked me multiple times, much less eight, though, so I definitely get the anger.0
-
Truth be told, if anyone kept attacking me over and over i would switch into retaliation mode and beat the snot out of them.
But thats just me.0
