  • Ye storm magneto is pretty much just a big sign that says free points here on defence.
  • I finished 13th with 1030 points. 10th had 1055. I intended to hit a 26 pt node in the last 5 minutes but forgot the time. Point inflation could be a good thing because of the 1100 reward but I bet the devs move the goalposts before the majority of us get there
  • You are probably right on the moving reward point.

I feel that pvp is no wear near as fun as it used to be.
I really hope they change it back.

I collect 3s to be more powerfull but the only thing that happens is that the game gets harder...
So im doing harder stuff for the same rewards...its so wierd.
  • Also, this change is a clear "spit in the eye" for newer players.
Cause if you dont field a full 141 team and reach above 900 you will be like the hockey puck in a hockey match.
  • Figured I'd toss this in here. Sitting on 50k ISO. Who should I pump? Choices are:

MN mags - 5/5/3 - currently lvl 6 (he used to be captain of the tank team)
    Hulk - 4/2/3 - currently lvl 47
    Lazy cap - 2/5/5 - currently lvl 30
    Rags - 4/5 - currently lvl 30

Spider, gsbw, psylocke I could get to like the 50s, but I figured that isn't worth it til I have more covers.
  • Scubapooz, I would go with Lazy Cap. I think he will be useful in PvP and PvE, especially since you're one off his optimal build and only in the power that doesn't matter as much.
  • I agree with atl, go with Lazy Cap. I had him at 128 at that exact build for quite awhile before caving and buying that 3rd cover of yellow just recently. If you can get him rolling, I think you'll use him a ton.
  • This is so messed up today. I did not recieve my Oscorp rewards nor can I enter the Heavy Metal Tourny. I find it hard that noone at D3P can take a moment to drop a message on the board.
  • Thanks for the feedback guys. And yea I can't play any events right now.
  • I'm back in the game, but I still haven't gotten my rewards yet.

I'm sitting on an IM40 yellow cover and I'm wondering if it's worth it to bring him to 3 yellow. Right now, he can charge blue and red pretty fast and I know if I just opened another roster slot, he'd be able to charge red very fast. I'm not sure that it's worth it though, although I have the HP t o do so. If I level him up to 3 in yellow he can charge green, but it slows him down on the red and yellow. A lot of times I just use him to charge OBW's healing, when I only need to heal one character, besides OBW.

So my question is, do I upgrade him to 3 yellow to get the green charged, open a new slot for a quick red charge, or sell him? I don't plan on maxing him anytime soon, if ever.

Thanks for any input you guys may have.
  • Who are the primary characters you'll be running him with?
  • Veteran players and founders please join post at viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7681

    sincerely,

  • Who are the primary characters you'll be running him with?

For the tourney, it's generally OBW and Punisher. I have also thought about using A. Wolverine/OBW/IM40, although it seems like the AI doesn't use Adamantium Slash on defense in favor of Uni-Beam.
  • Alt, I'm at three yellow and don't use im40. If you never plan on using him except for prologue healing I'd keep it at two. I wish I had. You will get more yellow if you change your mind eventually but you can never go back.
  • KR, I took your advice and sold him. Thanks for the input!
  • Man this going right into another season is has me ready to break down. I hate giving up covers but I think I am at a point I will either play PvE or PvP. This constant thing of running them both 24/7 has been braking me down. I'm thinking I will now only do PvP's and try my best there. As for PvE I will do it only based on if it is a New Cover or one I really need.

I just feel like every night I need to push myself until my head hits the pillow. I just wish I had some decnent 3* covered characters to play with differnt combos as everything seem the same all the time. This week I have hardly touched LR cause I have no push to do anything in them.

Depending on where we see the alliance going I may need to open my spot to another person. But I will hold off till we deciede what the group would like to do.

I'm in the same boat as you; I even said in alliance chat (which means it was likely overlooked) that I was thinking about taking a break from the alliance due to burnout. I'll still be playing, but I won't be killing myself and spending 2+ hours each PvP to ensure that I at least make 600 points, and I didn't want to let the alliance down. If we plan on staying very competitive, I'll have no trouble waiting until everyone finds a decent replacement for my spot.
  • So, it seems im not the only one that feels like this.
    Here are my words.

This game has gone from fun to work. I have to play every event to get points for the alliance and i didnt mind it at first. But lately, the pvp have been so god damned boring it blows my mind.
But i still grinded up to around 1k every damned event up untill the last one. I just felt, **** it. Then i read mik's comment on the ally chat about the slackers better pick up cause he wanted a psylocke cover.
I know you didnt mean it as harsh as it sounds mate, dont worry but i felt like, dammit, i need to help him and the rest as much as i can now.
At that point, the event was almost over. i grinded as fast as i could, gaining about 350 points and ending at 680ish points.
    All for you mate! icon_e_wink.gif

But i realised that, im now playing a game not because i want to, but because i have to. And im not doing that again!
Beeing an old, very hardcore World of Warcraft player, i have done my fair share of "playing but i dont want to"!

I know that when we started growing this alliance, we were set on beeing a top 50 alliance, and we were! we even did a top 10 pve finish wich felt damn good!
But the game has changed so much since then, and it hasnt even been that long dammit!
I feel that we are at a breaking point.

I really like this alliance, and i would love to stay here with you guys, keeping the chatt going, playing for fun, pushing sometimes and just chilling. No more work!
BUT, i totally understand if you want to replace me with someone who will push for 1k every event. If that is the case i will bow out and i wish you all the best!
Scarf said in ally chatt that the my spot is mine for as long as i want it and i thank you for those words. it felt damn good to hear.
But there is 18 more of you that need to have a say in this.

And ofc, all of this might change in the blink of an eye. I might find the love again and keep racking in those 1k points. The devs might acctualy change this game into something amazing again. ( not holding my breath on that one btw). But then again, maybe not.

  • Like I said in alliance chat, I dropped the ball with Krakadoom. I was aiming for at least 700 for each PVP, but I just didn't feel like it with Krakadoom. Rags tourneys suck.

This season thing is definitely causing some burnout on my end. I'll probably stay strong on PvE, especially if it's for a character I actually like, such as Sentry.

I think if we could average 10k per person next season we should be fine (more than fine) for top 50. Personally, I'm fine with top 100, which should be less work for all of us.

I will post later with more data.

As far as people leaving, I understand it. Xormar and elusive, I hope you both choose to stay. You're great guys!

I will post more about how I feel about the game and other things later.

I think you're a long way off from needing to leave. Did you look at the points we scored. We still have low scoring players. There's no need to leave until you're putting up like 200 pts which I'm sure at that point you're probably just about to quit anyway. I could be off base here, but I'm pretty sure everyone just wants free covers. Just need to be top 100 to do it.

I think if everyone is putting up like 5-800 points we can make that happen. Though we need everyone to be up there. One or two players dropping from 1000 to 800 is only a handful of points spread out between the other 18 or so players. If the top 5 players dropped 300 pts from their usual score that's only 1500 / 15 (rest of the alliance) = 100 pts per member. I don't thing that asking our members to "float" around 5-600 points is too much. It allows our top scorers leeway in not always having to score their brains out. Looking at our Season 1 points we go from 13.5 to 7.5 for total season points.

I think that we need to vote/express our happiness and our goals about where we want to place. I know a week or two ago we wanted to push for top 10--I think that's burn out ville.

I'm happy with being #99. I just want to earn covers. I'm not saying skirt cover death each event, but my feelings are that #25 and #100 are the same in my book. The extra Iso/HP are nice but I want the cover MOST of all. If we have people taking "breaks" and only scoring 500 vs their normal 1000. That's fine. I just want my dang cover. Also, I know our rosters aren't all the same and neither are our playing regime, but all it takes are some of our lower players scoring an extra 100 pts and we're back in the points.

The other way to make things easier is to pick up the bottom. It's an easy way to bump our point totals, but it's a heavy toll on the soul to cut members we've been playing with. I'm not sold on this at all, but I would rather cut the bottom than see Xormar go.

    tldr

Xormar doesn't need to step down unless he's scoring 100 pts
2-300 pts lost by xormar is only like 20 more pts per member
we were #29 is Season 1 so there's room to drop points and maintain cover ranking
more consistency at 5-600 pt level
Be happy we got our Fury cover!
