This ended up being a very competitive event. I was really pleased to see a nice balance in the scoring on this one. Spidey covers to be won in Category-5 and ISO-8 Brotherhood rolls on with 3 and half days still to go.0 -
AAARGGGHHHH, WORK!!! I haven't even started the Storm PVP yet and I was supposed to tank & lower my again-crazy MMR like two events ago... okay, I'm gonna do my best to at least grind out what points I can on lunch breaks/bathroom breaks & after work today. Cheers to all you good folk who have been killing it to date though, you guys are awesome!!

I'm going to be heading out of town for a few days from Sunday to Wednesday. I'll be in an area of Colorado with very little cell service, so expect me to be pretty non-existent for the end of the ISO8 PvE, the end of Spidey PvP and probably the entire PvP that follows Spidey.

whew, barely made it at 99th! good work guys. I'm excited for HT rewards, but I kinda wish I could take it easy in this spidey tourney .0

Couldn't have been much closer in terms of top 100 finish. The ISO rewards from this enabled me to "max" out my Patch. Time to take Spidey out for a spin to try to win some Human Torch covers.0 -
Sorry guys, I was out all of yesterday ... and am pretty much distracted this weekend. Botcon 2014 is local this year and seeing as how people literally travel halfway around the world to attend, I had to go! Mmmm robots.0
-
I would tell y'all that I'm gonna be out for most of the evening so I won't be getting a good score in the PvE but since we haven't really been caring about that and will probably top 100 anyway, it seems less of a priority. Well, looks like I'm telling you anyway . Good thing there's no PvP ending tonight!
Also, hope everyone's having a good weekend!0 -
Hope you have a good evening. Fortunately ISO-8 Brotherhood does seem to be taking care of itself, well at least from my point of view.0

For some reason it took me forever to piece together your forum name. I think I kept adding a letter so I was seeing it as "mystis brewin" and had no idea what the significance of that was. But now for the past 2-3 weeks every time I make some tea for me or my wife I just think "my tea is brewin" and think of you .0

I also kind of follow UCLA in football and basketball so it works there as well. I had one like that on a soccer forum, user name was hoofharted. I always thought of it as hoof harted, it was a face palm moment when I realised what it actually was.0
-
limee you are in the uk right? how does one end up following ucla football? i mean basketball i can kinda understand.
well i finished up with my robots and bam 3 instances ending in an hour? great googly moogly.
i think i threw 400 on the pile for pvp, but everything crashed.0 -
It started with me following the Raiders, their last superbowl win was the first year I started watching the NFL on channel 4 over here. The first year I saw the NBA was Magic's Lakers beating Bird's Celtics and from that point on I was a LA sports fan. The first year I really watched the NHL was Gretzky losing 4-1 in the final to the Canadiens. It was only fairly recently that we started to get coverage of college football and basketball available on UK tv. That left me with a choice of USC or UCLA and I don't like red (mostly for soccer reasons) so UCLA it was. I have seen the Lakers live twice, once at Golden State when my ex-wife's sister was working in San Francisco and once at Staples Center a couple of years later.0

We finished 116th in Webslinger. It is a shame we didn't make top 100, but people had a lot going on this weekend, we had moving, family events, world cup, half marathons and robots.

Great job Darknite. Human Torch is offering GSBW covers and it looks like Heroic Juggernaut should be kicking off sometime today.0 -

That's a bunch of sports to be watching. I follow the NBA, NFL and their college counterparts. Been getting into more epsports now with LOL ... with some premier league as well. These days I spend more time reading about games than watching.0 -
I have loved California every time I have visited. We did consider it at one point, but then life happens.mohio wrote:I think my MMR is enough above most of my alliance-mates that I only see them in my queue maybe once a tournament
Get a load of this guy.
We still love you Mohio.0 -

Now I feel like an **** . It's probably more that I grind quickly up to 900-ish and then shield and just look for the super-high point targets in the 1100+ range to get some big point boosts off of. In the last couple tournaments I've seen just one of you alliance mates each time. I think I was also joking in a bad way that I don't bother tanking but from what I hear a lot of you guys do .
Anyway - I'll throw my hat into the LA-welcome-party ring. As a bonus I currently have no job so I'll have plenty of time to show you around!
Also - Chelsea fan? Trying to figure it out isn't super easy since the anti-red thing could be Liverpool or Arsenal, although there's also a chance it's Man U, but for some reason that seems less likely. I had a good friend I worked with and we played on the company soccer team together, and he had played some minor league soccer in england when he was younger. Anyway, he was a big Liverpool fan so I figured I'd at least cheer them on if I ever caught a game (plus they were all of a sudden pretty bad for a few years). I mostly just like to cheer for the middle of the table clubs like Tottenham or Everton (Fulham, etc.), or any place that decides to use an american .0 -

Middle of the table? and I thought we were starting to get along.
Sounds like I am going to have to get myself back over there some time.0
