How about a post saying you're relaying on the complaints from the steam players?

I'm surprised it took this long.

    5 sec = 1 Heroic Token
    20 sec = 100 HP

    I approve of this change.

Seriously, it's hard not to take that response as a giant middle finger from the developers after half of the thread is about Steam players being upset at being locked out of this.

Their customer services reminds me of early days Blizzard when WoW was just starting out. Why even have a community manager if you're unwilling to interact with your playerbase?

As long as mobile and steam versions are separated, there is no reason for that. Technically they are different games and this change wont discriminate steam players in any way.

Technically they're not, or PvP would amount to me, Ducky, Snowcatt, and a few others fighting each other ad nauseam in PvP.

Console and Steam/Mobile are different, not Steam and Mobile.
So i can be targeted by players who play on mobile? Didnt know that lol... well, that explains why people are upset.

Are the rewards going to be tied to pvp at some point?

Also is only for the first six clears of a node? With the two day subs I'm sure many will clear more than six times in this event.

Glad to see there is another reason to be VIP now. But even when I was free to play I would have still welcomed thus change as it's optional ways go get extra resources

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, more resources. On the other, trying to speed through clears and being hit by 30 second ads up to 20 times (probably a 40 second interruption more likely) for an additional 13~14 minutes to the clear sounds like a choice between resources and competition. STEAM players rejoice! You may be getting higher placement than before.

I find it highly unlikely that this will deter anyone aiming for a top 50 finish, especially with many of the top players getting to skip the ads completely and still get the rewards.

I don't care either way about this but can you please stop with the window dressing? "Signal interceptor".. silliness.

Intercepts are amazing! I received 4 intercepts just by playing through DDQ. An extra 35HP and 3k iso! All with the freedom and mobility that comes with playing from my phone, life is grand.

Top 50, no. But for someone aiming for Top 5, an extra 13-14 minutes absolutely has an effect. For someone who aims for that high of a placement and is not VIP, this means either skipping the extra rewards or sliding down the placement rankings. The ultra-grinders are concentrated in SCL8 and the top 10 rankings are extremely close in points. Starting your final grind 13-14 minutes early -- and taking an extra 13-14 minutes on the initial clear -- will definitely have an appreciable effect on ranking at that level of competition.

Why would anyone aiming that high not skip the ad one way or another? They're not mandatory.

Never said they were mandatory. As I said, it's a non-choice for someone in that situation (ultra competitive but not VIP). However, what's the reason for wanting to compete? Rewards, of course. To offer some rewards whose acceptance are at a detriment to competitiveness seems odd to me.

I'd prefer that these extra rewards were baked into VIP status, to separate the paying vs. non-paying more cleanly. But that's from my own admittedly unique perspective.

In game ads, huh? Dangerous game. I've played games with them before, and I'd say it is probably at the top of the list for burning away all interest in a game. More rewards are all well and good, but dialing the annoyance meter up to 11 is super risky. People want to come to a game to have fun, not to be compelled to watch the absolute dregs of the world of marketing that is mobile game adverts. And having my first two that I saw be the exact same **** ad for some puzzle game... Let's just say I'm skeptical this is going to help you in the long run.

And, yes, they are optional. A man dying of thirst has the option of walking away from a well. Players are resource starved in this game. And make no mistake, that is a very calculated and deliberate situation. So, they've presented the option you can watch ads, feel compelled to pony up the monthly $10 so you don't have to, or live with the feeling that you should be because you're starved for resources and barely having fun.

Anyway devs, best of luck and all that. Try not to be too bummed when you realize you are following roads mocked years ago on South Park.

firethorne has expressed the problem perfectly.

microtransaction already force players to consider each discreet game activity in terms of real cash. Now in-game adds force players to consider each additional second spent playing the game in terms of intercept rewards.

This is just something that sucks a tiny little bit more fun out of the game.

Also, yay for advance communication. We knew about this program perhaps an hour before it went live?

I have music and sound effects turned off in the options menu but my ads all have sound. Really? Do I need to turn off the sound on my phone just to play this game quietly?

    Moore"]Greetings, Marvel Puzzle Quest fans!

A new way to earn bonus Iso-8, Hero Points, Heroic Tokens, and Command Points is arriving today in patch R113. Read on for details regarding the new S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercepts:

What is a S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercept?
S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercepts let you watch a video to receive a bonus reward.

Where do I find S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercepts?
At the claim reward screen after completing a
Story mission, you will sometimes receive a S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercept.

How often will I get S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercepts?
You are guaranteed to receive a S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercept after successfully completing your first Story mission of the day. The chance to intercept signals drops as you see more during the day. At most, you can receive 20 in one day.

What kind of Bonus Rewards can I get?
It is possible to receive the following bonus rewards from S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercepts; 1 Command Point, 100 Hero Points, 2,000 Iso-8, 1 Heroic Token, 25 Hero Points, 1,000 Iso-8, or 10 Hero Points.

I received a S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercept but I didn’t have to watch the video to get the reward. What happened?
VIPs and players who have supported the game recently get the bonus reward automatically. Thanks!

*Updated post to clarify that S.H.I.E.L.D. Signal Intercepts are tied to Story missions.
