I've enjoyed using Ares with Black Panther...the team damage is very nice. I've had to accept my Spiderman using fate, I am looking at a handful of 200's or above. I've lost a few so far, but that's to be expected.0

I've done a full run through both modes and just under half of all my rewards were crit boosts. I guess the bright side is now I can look forward to Iso 20

ok... this is where it really tests your patience / skill / luck / determination / and temptation ......
We all know that round 3 is going to be more difficult that the previous rounds ... all the above attributes will be needed ... to overcome those near level 200 or OVER 230 char .. (I was facing hood at 258 level.... lucky his life is low...) ... i used up 100k iso (out off the savings of 260k iso).. to boost BP to level 115 (3/3/5) .. with the add on boost .. i hit near 11k hp.. enuf to be a big tank ..(Not yet get 1 shotted by CMag yet... if that happen, tat would be classic.. literally & metaphorically if you get what I mean)
I just play the last 3 nodes.. ALL which requires BP in easy & hard mode ... no boost (tat's the temptation part...) ...
Top at my main bracket (#1 spot).. i think mostly because round 3 has a lot of ppl struggling... maybe round 4 will be easier for them (finishing up), but may be tougher for me since each round i finish with full life and all 3 heroes standing over the corpses of the fallen 3. (Only 1 fight so far proved tricky is the hood fight ... kept stealing my AP .. needed 12 black to get BP going .. 1 swipe is 4.5k at level 115 to each ... hehe...Black widow not helping either.. steals 4 too...Had to use gem damage & lucky cascade to get the 9 purple for Magneto MN.. then the game was over for them)
Round 4 up coming up in 2 days will be a serious challenge ..
Just for the kicks .. my 2 missions at the start ... level 190s and level 190s ... hohoho0 -

Me too. I've been using Ares with Black Panther and OBW. It's a fun team this event.
My Ares is still minimum, but I was using BP with GSBW. It's nice. I think of it as the massive blast damage team. It was especially fun against Daken on the desert map.

What do people use for Juggernaut + Moonstone + lazyThor? I went with Spidey/Venom in the easy sub, but that's not terribly reliable with the added burden aka Daredevil.
edit: pardon me, I need to slap myself on the head. Of course that team is red-heavy, so I need to actually comply and Ambush the whole party non-stop.
post edit edit: well... I tried to be a good player, I really tried.
1) I went Daredevil/Punisher/Hood against the red happy party in the mountains, it was working really well despite them not triggering traps too much, but Punisher couldn't tank all the match damage, even if Hood sucked enemy abilities dry. Hood helped fuel each and every DD ability, but yeah, the AI didn't want to match blue understandably, since blue totally isn't their strong colour. Oh and Juggs destroys traps with his green too. When Juggernaut triggered most DD traps on himself with only 600 hp left, that left me with a half dead DD against a healthy Thor. It didn't work out despite crazy damage boosts

2) Okay, we want healing now and then but we don't want to bring Spidey, right? Let's bring Wolverine** and oBW since strike damage should really help with the traps. Long story short, maybe I got an unlucky board but I could never place a strike tile, although I did place a few Ambushes. AI didn't want to trigger them for some reason. A crapton of damage boosts, still not helping.
3) I gave up on Daredevil and went Spidey/Hood. But I forgot that these three deal virtually no damage, so a failure as well. MagnetoMN for Spidey wouldn't work out for the same reason.
4) trusty Venom/Spidey, worked like a charm AGAIN. No boosts whatsoever. Ambushes triggered: 0.
Daredevil needs someone with amazing board control along, Loki/2 Magnetos come to mind, but why not just help the blind man out and always place traps on an already available match? Preferably of the enemy's strong colours, not just red/blue/environment?0 -

Is it worthwile to deplete nodes when I am already number one or will it go down the drain anyway when rubberbanding and new refreshes kick in?0

Like anything endgame in this game it's totally down to pure luck unless you use Spidey. He just got a cascade after yellow big enough to USE ANOTHER YELLOW. Jesus **** christ.0 -

Take a look at the two one off missions in the main event. What opponent levels do you have? That should give you an idea of where your personal scaling is at.
Now if your personal scaling is at 40 and your enemies are at 230 then maybe there is merit to spidey abuse ruining it for everyone.
But if your personal scaling is within 60 levels of what you are facing in the sub events, it's time to stop blaming the community or spider man. Unless you personally use spider man in which case you can just stop using him.
They are average of level 85s.. My enemies are 130 and up, 180 some.. I rarely use spidey, though I'm eternally hooked to OBW.. Oh lord of net stockings..0 -
I'm starting to really lose interest in general; something the developers don't seem to realize is that every match being a major challenge is every bit as dull as every match being really easy. And given how stupidly, punishingly broken the healing system is, on hard I can usually only play a few matches at a time or I run out of healing packs. Healing in the prologue 1) takes forever and 2) punishes you in PVE now.
It's getting really easy to imagine not playing the game at all anymore. It's just gotten less and less fun as time has gone on. There were almost advantages to when scaling was totally broken, since most people were boxed out of half the missions completely. Now it's either buy a bunch of health packs - which is flat pay to play - and which I will never, ever do, or just settle for lower rewards. This has become a game it's functionally impossible to play casually in.
They need to make the game fun again. It's not fun. The latest two ****, terrible characters have managed to make even the collecting element boring. I honestly can't envision a situation in which I'd give them anymore money at this point. I've spent 25-30 bucks on the game so far and that may be it.0 -

Can anyone confirm this **** about 2) finally?
For the record I use a lot of prologue healing. (It does not take forever, and isn't all that dull either: I consider it like a different minigame about keeping Venom alive as long as possible... just as mining and crafting minigames differ from others in galactrix). I don't see any adverse effect on levels from that. As many people noted the confirmed correlation is: +levels for people mining nodes until 500ISO comes out. Those whi just play optimally to keep #1 in combined and consistent top5 in subs are still on 100-ish personal, 150 tops.
But I agree with the rest certainly: leaving people with only high-level battles and ensure long risky fights and ton of damage and downs is even more dull than repeated pushovers.0 -

IceIX was the one who said the point about 2) - I don't have the link handy but I imagine someone does.
And for the healing thing - it probably depends on where your Spider-Man is. Mine is at 4/2/1 and is basically useless for healing, so I have to use OBW, who takes multiple missions to heal someone if they need more than about an hour of healing. If I had a Spider-Man with five blues I wouldn't consider it a big deal, but I don't.0
