I have Spiderman, I like using him, but I would agree that his stun and healing are overpowered right now and need to be adjusted. Still, I enjoy playing the game with the ability to stun. Stun abilities and other non-damage abilities like AP steal make the game a lot more interesting for me. I would hate to see them disappear entirely.
Scaling has gotten better, but it still has issues. I seriously doubt nerfing Spiderman will fix all of the issues with scaling, though. Nerf Spiderman and players will just find something else that the developers haven't taken into account.
Personally I think there need to be stricter ranges on the nodes. I think some nodes (lower point nodes) should never go above Trivial for the player. Others could have a range from Easy - Normal. Others could go from Normal - Hard and then a few that go up to the max. That way the player never feels like he's locked out of an event, even if the biggest point gains come from the hardest nodes.
That doesn't solve the problem that if you have a level 50 team, you're just completely locked out of the event unless you play before scaling kicks in - no node rewards, no progression rewards, no fun of playing the game, nothing.
1. Level 20s; Daredevil 1/0/1, Doom 1/1, Psylocke 1/0/1, LazyThor 1/0/0
2. Level 85 2*s. I would consider this a mid-tier player.
3. Level 85 2*s + Level 115 5-blue Spidey. Mid-tier.
4. Level 85 2*s. Mid-tier.
5. " "
6. " "
7. Level 40 2*s. Still a beginner? Bit less than lower-mid tier?
8. Level 75-80 2*s. Mid-tier.
9. Level 40-50 2*s. Matches your example.
10. Level 85 2*s + Level 115 IM40. Mid-tier.
Granted, we aren't halfway through the event yet so none of these mid-tier players are facing a wall of 230s yet most likely. But I don't think any mid-tier player is "locked out" - no, they just have a harder time compared to beginners and elites. Devs simply need to reward that increased effort.0 -
I am sorry if this has been talked about in this thread because much of it is tl;dr... But real quick are there other people in my position of having very similar levels on the "hard" mode as it is in the regular (200~)? I am getting trounced pretty bad this time around. I remember the last simulation kicking my **** but most other PvE events being relatively ok except for here and there in terms of level.0
-
Did you all see that? Scores were crazy for a minute and then... back to normal. Our alliance isn't in contention for Top10 or nuthin', but we ain't THAT far behind.

Yup saw that. The same teams were way way ahead in Lone Star for a moment as well.0

Ya it got bad this morning... All 230's for me... LONG...BORING... Battles0 -
Scaling is actually treating me pretty well this time around...so far, at least.
Easy is definitely as the name implies, and only a few battles in Hard are making me bring out Spidey for a guaranteed win.
**** I love me a buffed Doom0 -
Just hit 100,000 and collected my 50 HP from atop the dresser.
The leads are really firming up in the main brackets.0 -
This event made me respect the power of Doom .0

Spidey + blue-generating goon is such a demotivating fight =T0

Its a long one but not a very dangerous one.0 -
The first round of the Simulator was my favorite event so far. The second round will be one of my worst memories of the game. I played barely in the first rotations in order to keep the levels in normal levels, but this is not the case. Since the start they went up 60-80 levels and now they are essentially unplayable. 1 lucky cascade and your team has 1k remaining or is down. How do they manage to f* things up each time I start having fun is beyond me. There is absolutely no skill involved; just luck. If you get a favorable board (or if you have spidey) you win. If not, well, better luck next time. They make it so difficult to say something good about them and the game.0

Pffft I have a 5 blue Spidey and am doing worse in the current Sim than in the first installment when I only had 3 blue Spidey. Also had 1 cover Magneto and Loki back then, whereas now I have decently leveled Psylocke, Doom and even Panther.
Because timing, managing rubberbanding and only doing the important missions is actually the key, you guessed it. My enemies are mostly level 200+ at the moment, and while I can beat them with or without Spider-Man (lazyThor with mooks does call for Spider-Man though, I'm not sure which is the chicken and which is the egg, although people report using cStorm with great success), the dreaded 20 ISO non-reward prevents me from grinding like a boss.0 -
don't know, the scaling has been nice to me
even now I've done 3 clears of all nodes.
and the highest level on the hard event is Sim 10 of levels 161. the rest are waaaaaaaay below that.
so I currently see nothing wrong with the event. maybe I'm doing something right?0 -
Alright we've just crossed under 2 hours remaining.
Gentlemen start your engines....0 -
Anyone else laughing their **** off when Bagman raises the countdown timers on his own teams tiles?!?!?!0
-
I only had 40 minutes for my final run, so I left a lot of points lying around and only got 3 tokens.
However, those gave a blue Hawkeye (ugh), a yellow Panther (would've preferred black but it'll do) and a red X-Force. Pretty happy right now0 -
Lucky lucky.
I got four 2** which are vendor trash, and a blue psylocke. Which is also vendor trash, considering it's about the fourth time I've pulled it from a token.
BP black, where are yooooouuu?0 -
Still waiting for my second set of rewards (from Hard, I think), but my two tokens from my top 5 finish both resulted in Wolverines, both yellow...but different rarities, one being my first yellow X-Force!
Honestly didn't even know he was in there, but no matter what else I get from this event, the ordeal was worth it.0 -
The current node values are now 50% above what that started at so the 3rd normal subs are
Sim 1 - 75
Sim 2 - 105
Sim 3 - 150
Sim 4 - 180
Sim 5 - 75
Sim 6 - 105
Sim 7 - 150
Sim 8 - 255
Sim 9 - 255
Sim 10 - 225
Again the hard subs is twice this so max rubber banding on Sim 8 and 9 will be over 5K points on hard mode.0
