Was there a node with Daken, mStorm and the Hulk?? I remember one with cStorm + Daken + Captain in Desert (Sim 08 I believe), and one with the Hulk + Yelena + whoever (SIm 02 I think), but NOT the Hulk + mStorm + Daken.

It's in the new subs -- Sim 5. Thankfully it's not in the Desert or Forest.
Oh thanks, haven't seen all of those yet, the starting fights with Spider-Man and IW already scare me (they aren't deadly, but they may well win with their uber-defense...). mStorm + Daken + Hulk just promise lots of pain to everyone without a stunner/Loki.

I only had 40 minutes for my final run, so I left a lot of points lying around and only got 3 tokens.

However, those gave a blue Hawkeye (ugh), a yellow Panther (would've preferred black but it'll do) and a red X-Force. Pretty happy right now icon_e_smile.gif

I got a red X-force as well. I wonder if they changed the odds for a bit??
  • What a load of sh1t! The next required 3star is panther! So 3 matches that have the most rewards are now impossible without panther. Such bullsh1t.

But it's been that way for the past 2 rounds. Frankly, I'm surprised Doom was featured, since all the others are newer 3*s.
  • I feel this will be the round where a lot of people die. That first Spidey and Bag Lady battle is a ****. And my reward for making it past that nightmare? Critical Tile boosts. icon_evil.gif Why are those even a reward?

I've done a full run through both modes and just under half of all my rewards were crit boosts. I guess the bright side is now I can look forward to good rewards icon_e_smile.gif

True but it's been character where people have had the chance to get them. I got 5 black doom covers since game came out off tokens. Because of this games stupid @ss rubber banding I got knocked out of place to get a panther cover. Then they do only one event that features him and make the odds of getting higher than winning the lottery. I know they need to make money but come on. Forcing you to use in the last one was a joke too. I have a full time job and play whenever I can. I've bought a couple packs here and there with real money but having a pack for 3800 coins with probably only one cover. Come on.
Also in the last three rounds I've got 3 tokens each round. The token I just got were two red wolverines. Really? The odds are against you. Bunch of d bags if you ask me.

These new subs are slaughtering me. I finished top 10 in all the previous subs and, aside from a couple of the tougher fights, made it through fine.

However, on these I won the first BP required fight in reg Sim and have wiped or had to retreat on 8 subsequent attempts. Tried and wiped on both other BP missions multiple times, then also just had to retreat in the face of a wipe on the Spidey/IW mission.

    Wow.

As an aside, anyone know whether the "match tracking" for enemy scaling treats retreats the same as wipes?

Critical tiles are insane when used with Magneto. I had a 10000 match on LR yesterday, and I'm not even sure how it was possible, but I had crit + match damage all 100% + match blue 50%. Of course anyone else can get the same but Magneto creates crit tiles really easily.

The game scales based on the amount of HP you lost after a battle, so having a complete wipe out is the same as retreating 4 times in a row. You can actually have scaling go down if you got sufficiently beat up in a battle that you won.

Thanks. I usually make my fight-or-flight decision when i'm seeing most of my team at a level where they're banged up so bad it's unlikely I'll win but they'll survive a retreat (and I can heal up in prologue). Usually between 30-50%. So I guess that damage will still be factored in, which is what I was hoping.

It is. Basically if you retreat 4 times (to get 3 guys downed) you'll see the result roughly similar to having those 3 guys flat out down. It won't be quite the same because there seems to be some variation but they average out to the same. I don't know how effective dying is at lowering your enemy levels now though.

Yeah, I'm not dying/retreating intentionally to try to lower enemy levels. They're legit retreats by my A-Team because my weak BP team is getting pwned so hard. Was just hoping that at least the game was taking note of this in case it would eventually ease up the crush-o-matic.

It'll help, but probably not to a noticeable degree. As for intentionally tanking, I think it still works. It's just less effective. I've experimented a couple times by wiping out my whole roster and it didn't lower any levels. On the flip side I haven't had my nodes scale up much either, so I don't know if that was from tanking or just getting beat a bit during the battle...

Yeah, a bunch of 20 iso rewards

i hope this is the round where everyone else dies, so i can try climb up that leaderboard icon_e_smile.gif

Ignored these subs until two hours before they ended. Got top 2 in both and climbed back up to #3 in my main bracket... yay for rubberbanding.

That might be a valid tactic. Unfortunately I'm in such a dire need for ISO that I have to make sure I grind at least all the 500 ISO rewards from each node before that sub event ends. So I'm stalking the 12h refresh cycles instead.

Same here, at least trying to do it like that, secure the 500 iso and then go from there
I did that the first round, but I was a bit concerned, since that only gave me about ~50K points for that set, and if each set increased by 25%, relying on rubberbanding alone won't hit the last progression reward

Agreed. I'm not even sure that i will be able to finish all the Sims for each mode.

So far i've cleared about 75% of the sims in each mode and i've had to use Spidey and a +3 Blue/Purple boost for each...and thats a minimum.

I'm still in good shape in my main bracket, but i've fallen to top 50 in the subs.

  • Been wiped out many times on this sub.. Oh kind god of scaling, please reducd our enemy levels.. :p
Somehow it's strange how people say they are losing but the enemy level went up so high already.. Spidey abuse all over again?.. icon_e_confused.gif

Take a look at the two one off missions in the main event. What opponent levels do you have? That should give you an idea of where your personal scaling is at.

Now if your personal scaling is at 40 and your enemies are at 230 then maybe there is merit to spidey abuse ruining it for everyone.

But if your personal scaling is within 60 levels of what you are facing in the sub events, it's time to stop blaming the community or spider man. Unless you personally use spider man in which case you can just stop using him.
