With the last refresh I have lvl 200+ essentials. Everyone else scaling the same?

Mine jumped from 106 to 190 with the last refresh. *sigh* looks like its time to start using A-teams in the sub nodes.

Jumped to almost 300 with the refresh an hour ago. It's going to get messy.

Still, we cleared round 6 before it hit at least.

Funny thing is, scaling is independent of roster.
Which goes completely against their design philosophy, but I'm not complaining, I'm all for set levels instead of scaling.

damn scaling is getting close to max on day 2, they should make gateway node easier than the boss.

but still better than day 1 maxing, lol.

Solid.... Lvl 271 wave node with a one cover quake...

I'm supposed to lose I get that. But let me lose to the boss instead of the stupid unlocking node.

I've got 258 waves, with a 2* Hawkeye expected to be used. icon_lol.gif

Seriously, is there any sort of planning at all from D3?

Why does D3 insist on ruining fun events with bad scaling. Seriously that Quake node is 10x harder than the Boss fight. They are incapable of not screwing up these events.

Scaling seems much easier for me this go around. Maybe my roster is just much better equipped to handle it but last two runs I would not even get past wave 1 on the wave nodes and now I'm exiting them without having to use healthpacks.

I'm feeling it worse than previous events, but that may be an effect of undercovered essential characters.

The fact that I can beat a round 7 Steve in 5 turns. But wipe on the unlock nodes is a problem.

No but seriously, I hate it when I'm right in these circumstances.

There has to be a better way of gradually increasing the difficulty than this. But then, even if the enemy levels capped at 250 that would have been reasonable enough. And as someone else said, for it to scale comletely disregarding your roster is even worse.

Scaling on the bosses is independent of roster, but scaling on the outer missions is totally based on roster (they just scale up more and more relative to your best team).
  • Two waves of level 290 characters or higher? That's some ****. I limp into wave 2 every time and get slaughtered. Thanks MPQ.

Enter Wave node and SW is in the first wave....
doh should have had the hindsight to take Jeanie..

I quite like how the nodes now have HARD at the top, as if i didn't already know the scaling in this event was hard.

For kicks it labelled the Rulk / CapMarv / TinySpidey as normal....
unsurprisingly this was the HARDest node.

If wave node scaling is going to soar to 400+ levels (stronger than my highest boosted character) then at least give me free choice of the team to use. It's already 3 against 6, but insisting that one of those three is a useless undercovered character (I'm looking at you, Mr F.) basically makes it 2 against 6. It's like sending a 5-yr-old to compete at the Superbowl! Even with a lucky board, the best I've been able to do is down 5 opponents.

So come on, devs - no essentials in wave nodes from now on, hey? I'm sure you didn't spend all that time designing an animation for the Red Room tokens just to have no-one ever see it?? icon_cry.gif

This event has given my underlevelled roster a nice, relaxing break from MPQ icon_lol.gif

Do they though because mine have scaled way beyond my highest leveled characters now.

Imo individual progression for this run was set too high.
CW3 has the worst reward/effort ratio of all 3 runs
