Its not original (or even my main team) but it made my matches formulaic. Get green and blue = win. I've won about 6-7 defensive battles with this team. I can say that if you dont have spiderman and their patch goes off first, you're in for some trouble. I almost lost once with that team against a Patch, OBW, Hood. Annoying as heck until Hood died.

I've seen a lot of that team; tends to be OBW, Hood, Spidey, cMags & Punisher in some combinations. I've seen some MMN paired with Spidey as well, but they're all just so squishy and fairly easy to play around. AI plays Spidey & cMags comparatively badly, so if you play carefully and deny their colours, unless you get an unlucky cascade you can generally romp through. Punisher is the real problem if you're not careful and he gets out of control, but he just requires a bit more self control about when start spamming out the Strike tiles.

I'm fielding OBW(85) & Ares(75) as my partners - Ares doesn't match anything, but has a great yellow and his Red can be useful after a Berserker. He also tanks a bit and offers decent damage if Patch gets stunned. OBW denies Purple, Black & Blue, and her Espionage works great with Patch, but shes squishy and often ends battles at <1/2 health requiring either a trip to the Prologue or a Health Pack. Ares has also been good backup on the couple of occasions when an enemy Thorcade has taken out Patch (only happened once or twice) and has brought me those wins home. I prefer him to Thor because Thor's yellow messes with the board too much.

dreylin u should try out dr. doom together with patch.. his summon demons works so well with patch's strike tiles if i get both off i do atleast 6k dmg every turn.

won like 75% of matches while defending.

edit: btw if u see my name in wolverine event just attack me.. i'm staying defended till the end now.

Sadly, I almost never pick up D wins at my current MMR level... Spidey is certainly first target and MNMags is pretty easy to chew through after.

Hood is a nasty wildcard in this event. I often have to slow my matches down to watch what he's doing. Aside from that, the only real threat is someone's OBW pulling a double pink cascade after I've already matched pink. But OBW goes down so delightfully fast with Patch.

Nice totals so far, guys. I'm about 10pts back from Arrogant (823, leader) now and deciding if I want to chill, or shoot for the 50HP at 900. Think you've got me beat overall, AB. I've never even seen you in my MMR pool, so I'm guessing you tanked better than I did this last week.

If you feel the desire to venture forward by all means feel free. I learned my lesson last week trying to get the progression hood. Spent the last day just trying to get back where I was to begin with.

Given all the patch ascension I need to update that OP. Guess I'll give that a go later today

I run Patch/Spidey/OBW too. My MMR is so high that I need board control to win, which means I never get a D win. Wish I would had done Patch/Hood/Doom before I shielded though. Seems like a nasty team for D.

Gotta be honest guys, not really pumped up about the cap tourney. GSBW isnt really in my list of wants. Might just go for a top ten finish but not shield.

If you're updating the OP, and don't mind the extra work, let's move to top 5 or first row. That's more important to me in the team than Top 3--I usually check out people's first page to see what kind of depth they have rather than their main hitters.

As regards this PvP round--bleh, I don't really have a choice about running up my score, either. I was out with the wife today so I haven't been able to time things properly, had to reshield again at an awkward time, so I'll have to unshield/reshield in the last hour. Not that I'm going to catch the guys up over 1000 with my current MMR. Ain't happenin'.

Not an efficient use of HP this time around. I'm going to be low for Cap'n Crunch.

Holly patch, this event is crazy. I usually end in bracket where 800 is about good for 1st, and 500-600 for top 10 (and with active tanking before start of climbing i usually dont get hit). Now even i started at same time as other pvps, 800 is not enough for top10. Managed to scrap 1000 points and shielded 1st (with only 1pt over 2nd so i dont think i keep it), and raised my mmr so high, that tedious tanking will be extra long for capn pvp.

I've shielded out at 918... was up to 957, but then the retals started and I'm not going to catch first at 1086, sadly, as the 1000 pointers are almost all shielded at this point.

I hate you so much Gormisko. I tanked so hard during the LRs and now I've got a conglomerate of several Spiderman + MN players just tapping me every time I try to push past 700. I was lucky to get where I am now in the top 10 and shield up, and meanwhile I watch you creep up the top 10 into first, and I can't even queue up anything worth more than 10-15 points at 824 - and I'm not even comfortable that I can stay in top 10 with this score.

I'm currently 1st in PvE at 26245 points.
Haven't had much luck in the PvP tourney. Currently I only have 530 points. I tried a few times to push back higher but either lost a round or got retaliated against before I could reshield.

Funny you mention that bc I was considering doing less haha. Adding up those top 3 for 20 people is a pain in the butt.

And in the end i made offering to him for full protection only 2 minutes before 4 retaliations come in quick succession. Patch was clearly looked over me today.

Yeah you Patchites need to work on your grammar. Fair warning to QtQuazar, I have you queued and I am going to deliver the killing blow with 20 seconds left, so you should probably be ready for that. You're the first person worth more than 10 points by threefold and I am not passing this up.
