Yeah, late push for me after a bit of early tanking. Now shielded at 746 which should be enough for top10 (currently 5th).

Going to have a few words with Otersey when he checks in ... that was 30pts I would have been happy to keep. Still in my queu though, so if you shield up at the end maybe I'll hit y'all and take some back!

First at 902 still, been a quiet tourney. First in ISO-8 at 44k, but the way that event is set up the final free-for-all is going to be one ugly mess.

Yeah, it was some 5 point battles to the top. I had Psykopathic and Shamusyeah lined up, but I was worried about retaliations on my last few points before 1100. Before alliances I would have taken my progression reward and then hit them, but now it feels like that 1100 is precious, never mind that I'm leading my bracket by 300 points.

I ended up shielded at 703 or so, which turned out to be enough to remain in the top 10 throughout the night...my GSBW is still massively underlevelled

regarding the PVE...I hate the end-time coupled with rubberbanding. went to bed as #5 of my bracket...when I got up (which happens to be around half an hour past the end time...) I had fallen down to #222....at that rate I might not even get a torch

^ Never worry, just make sure you are able to play during the last hour of Unstable Iso-8. If not, probably no amount of lead can help you, so better not get upset beforehand.

that's the problem...playing in the last hour would mean getting up at 5am But until last night at least I ususally managed to stay in the top 100 through the night

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your thoughts on Defense, they were very helpful. I like the idea of IW being a beast on defense, but I'm not sure until she's buffed. Btw, how can you get to 1100 points on PVP, even with 3x141s? If you get hit you loose 50 points and if you win you get 5 or 10 points... I don't get it. Don't 3x141 end up facing only 3x141s? Is this an example of tanking? How does it actually work, I thought your bracket was defined at the start of an event. How does losing with a bad team bad team help face easier opponents?

Quick status update: I'm #1 in my bracket with 46,234 points on the Human Torch Event and finishing the lazycap event with just under 700 points and a top 25, but at least I didn't shield I'm aiming for a win on the GSBW, I love Betsy Braddock

Guys, you need to play the last hour of the Human Torch event if you want to place well. Please keep that in mind. Also, aren't the devs going crazy with their progression rewards? Last time, dedicated players couldn't get the last rewards, this time, I guess no one will get the last 5 or 6 rewards, what is up with that? Not even a matter of grading, if you played 24/7 for 7 days, you couldn't get 160,000. We have less than 21 hours left and I grounded all nodes to less than 100 points. Maybe if I played another hour, I could have another 500 points, maybe. How can anyone get 120,000 points in the last 20 hours alone???

^ Getting the 1100 pts reward is discussed at length here viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5761&start=80 Be prepared to pay a small fortune in shields or not try at all. I would be able to hit 1100 and green GSBW myself maybe, but since that cover would be my 4th and not 5th (5th green is the critical cover), I see no reason to waste resources. If you see a cover you desperately need at 1100 though it's definitely doable with right timing and patience.

Shielded at 710 points in Cap's PvP, got top 10, so whooo! - I got three GSBW covers, then opened Heroic token (it was Cap's token, but I didn't want to spend it for abysmal chance to get Cap) - and whoo! again - I got purple GSBW. She jumped from "unusable" to "PvE use" almost in minute or two!
As for Cap's PvE, well, I won't be able to play in last hours (date and all that comes after), so I think I won't get all three covers for HT. At least I hope my comrades will be able to push and get at least Alliance reward.

Interestingly, today was actually the least that I've dropped. I went to bed after I got to first and I just checked and I only dropped to 22. I'm assume by the time I get home from work I'll be in the 100s though

Locked, you should stop by more often. We haven't talked in a while and still haven't coordinated our outfits for the ice cream social / django-scavenger life partner ceremony

Ouch! qtquazar was right. An the end I underwent a massive zombie attack and score points is not looking closely at the nicknames as I usually do.
