Well, Ace of Blades, I think it's time for me to move on. I'm sure all of you noticed that I didn't play much this season -- I was hoping taking it easy would make the game fun again, but unfortunately it didn't work.

I'm not going to post a goodbye thread, since I might be back some day (and the devs don't care what our opinions are anyway). However, for the curious, my main reason for quitting is that the game is pretty stale:

• Besides characters, there's basically never any new content released. Because of this, once you have almost every character covered, there's not much to look forward to.
• PvP and PvE never change. They're basically the same thing repeated endlessly, and both require too much time investment to continually do well. (And I hate PvP anyway, as I'm sure I've told you all multiple times.)
• Ultron was marginally different than the standard events, but wasn't really fun after being forced to play the same opponents over and over and over and over and over.
• The special "30-day Ant-man event" turned out to be five nodes. (A lot of effort was put into that one, you can tell.)
• And the main reason I'm quitting: with the change to releasing mostly 4*'s, the pace at which you can cover a new character is extremely slow. It's months before you have a useable 4*, and putting in hours and hours of game time over several months before I can even consider using a character. (Especially when there's no new content to play during those months.)

I've been with Ace of Blades since Season 2, and you guys have always been great! Thanks for being an awesome alliance -- I think we struck the best balance between playing competitively and being lazy.

I'll check back in a few months and see what's happening, and maybe I can go through the rigorous application process again if the game looks fresh.

It's . . . it's so lonely with no chat in the app. I was going to play just the dailys for a while to see how that goes, but even that might be too sad for me. My roster doesn't talk back when I talk to them...
