Just made my last push for the night, sitting at 817 with a 24 hr shield. Was tempted to only do 9 hours but didn't wanna risk it since I will probably be busy tomorrow. Also was tempted to try and push a little further but got attacked a couple times earlier and got paranoid I would lose points faster than I could gain them, since mostly everybody in the US is now awake. I'm only 47 points ahead of 2nd place but 135 ahead of 3rd. On that note, if anyone happens to see iVenom in matchmaking, please attack him as he is unshielded currently, and his roster is not very strong (max level character is an 85 Thor). If I have time I may try to make a last minute push depending on what the bracket looks like.

Update: seems I shielded at a great time since most of the top unshielded players in my bracket are dropping a bit in score. Now 110 points ahead of 2nd

I usually make a late push but started a little early today to see what I could do to help push a higher total. Currently 435 and going to aim for at least 700-800 unless I hit a wall. My MMR is a bit high atm, but luckily I don't get attacked a ton with an annoying 8k Hulk.

It's a shame that the 2nd tier of rewards is so broad (2-50). This is mostly for Alliance pride and to test our abilities as S.H.I.E.L.D probably won't be caught this tournament.

Hey guys! I just put in an app for your alliance and wanted to drop in.

What initially attracted me to your clan is how you all keep in touch here on the forums and you seem like a fun bunch of people to play with!

Bit about me: I'm a very active up and coming player. My roster has been strong enough and diverse enough to keep me competitive in every tournament I've seen so far. I place high, currently ranked 4 in Fearless Defenders and secured a modern Thor in the heroic, and I play daily, usually two extended sittings in the morning and at night.

I was part of TheOnlyHeroes until earlier this morning when they gave me the boot. They didn't like the look of my roster apparently despite the 400 points I gave them in one sitting (sorry for helping the competition!)

Hopefully I can put those points to you guys moving forward?

With over 50 applications in right now, I haven't even bothered to dismiss people. I'm thinking we add Psykopathic (a forum regular, although he hasn't posted on our thread) and am fine adding Oopla temporarily (not fair that you get booted from another clan right before rewards dish out). Thoughts?

Let's certainly get Oopla in to snag this reward. I still like the idea of a semi revolving last two slots based upon high scores, but we certainly can afford to help a poster out in this case. Our rewards are fairly set this time around.

Update: 558 and climbing. Still on track for my goal of ~800.

Oobla - welcome aboard. I hate it when people get screwed and don't like that. We're using the two slots as "rotating," maybe on a go-forward basis, because at this point all "permanent" spots are filled and want to rotate them to both help ourselves and "spread the wealth" as it were. So, enjoy the free HP/cover/iso that comes with a high finish, but unfortunately you'll lose your spot tomorrow (after rewards have been issued) so that others can participate as well. No hard feelings, okay?

So with the two new additions, we're in 2nd place behind SHIELD by only 1400 points. Perhaps it's worth going for first?! Either way, we're in great shape going forward.

Just pushed up to 824 shielded and sitting in first in my bracket. Lots of activity in this event makes it tough to push much higher. Overall we are sitting in second right behind S.H.I.E.L.D at the moment.

With SHIELD still having three openings, I'm almost certain they will add three people at the last minute to dominate.

I'm at 889 points, still 1st place but only a 70 point cushion, i'm using 3 hr shields and doing 4-5 battles in between (trying to get close to 100 points each time) but the last 3 times i unshielded, the same guy has hit me for 30+ points after my 1st time, muma......something, not to be paranoid but i think i'm being targeted, too much of a coincidence that the same guy attacks me as soon as my shields are down, still have 2 more shieldings to go through so i'm hoping i can make it to the 1000 mark

I guess I'm lagging a bit since I'm only at 624 points and in 9th place right now. It looks like the ladder is easily going to take my bracket as he's about 200 points ahead of 2nd. I should be able to make a push a little closer to the end of the tourney. I'm kind of torn as to shield or not cuz there's no difference in prizes for 2nd-50 for alliances but I think we might be able to overtake S.H.I.E.L.D. unless they fill out their roster with some high point guys.

My 738 has slipped me to 9th. Everyone in the top 10 is shielded though so I don't know if there will be movement. I've queued up a few decent targets that should climb me up to about 800 but may ride it out. We'll see.

I give up. I'm in MMR hell and keep finding the same few targets, and I'm feeling bad after hitting Akboyce 3 times. I'll just push to 800 again once the 3 hour mark comes around, shield, and ride it out. Sorry folks.

Nothing to be sorry for, 800 is a great total. If everyone hit 800 we would be in first place by a decent margin.

i'm still 1st place with 941 points, a 120 point cushion over 2nd place, got 3 matches queued between 18 - 20 points each, and a few boosts already set up to make those matches quick, i would like to get to 1100 points to get that red psylocke cover but it might be a risky move, i think i'll try to get to 1000 for sure to get the 1000 iso, my shield breaks with an hour left to the end of the tourney so it's a given that i'm going to have to shield again, the question is after how many fights.

why would he leave unless he's going to s.h.i.e.l.d. we are doing pretty good

No clue, so I think we can resign ourselves to a top 50 finish at this point as I think we're all running into walls. I created a new thread so that we can be generous and give someone that's been wronged or something points for this round, knowing it's ending in a few hours anyway.
