I think you can easily click by mistake on the accept buttons while browsing through the list. I guess it happened earlier today too. Must be what's happening again.

Also, now that we're a (mostly) formed alliance, thought I would formally introduce myself. I'm a 30-year-old male, married for almost 7 years, here in Dallas, TX, USA. I do consulting for a living and am expecting my first kiddo in the late summer/early fall. I grew up on Marvel comics, outgrew them, and am now getting back into comics at my old age. I'm catching up on AGENTS OF SHIELD and am caught up with ARROW, thinking about subscribing to the one-of-many comic apps. I play MPQ on my way to work (I take the train), on my way home, and during conference calls/meetings that I find boring.

I'm 37 years old, from Miami, i've been living with my girlfriend for 8 years, we haven't gotten married cause she's divorced ( she married way too young) and doesn't want to do it again which is fine by me, we have a 2 year old son who i'm slowly introducing to comics (his favorite heroes are spiderman, iron man and hulk), when i play mpq and he's around i let him do all the special attacks and finish the matches, hulk animations are his favorites.

I have very long hours at work so i play early and late during the day, in the mornings around an hour before i go to work, during lunch time and bathroom breaks i'll sneak a few matches, maybe a lighting round during lunch, and at nights i'll go for 2-3 hours after everyone has gone to bed.

I work nights and play about 6 hours a day on this game. I usually place top 10 or 50 depending on the tournament. I have a lot of 3 star characters too. Just need more ISO.

Finished university, worked in sales for quite some years, got tired of sales, now back in college to get some extra post grad certificate in logistics

Any time I'm not studying, I'm probably playing MPQ. My play time depends on how many events are going on both in game and in real life, but probably around 3 - 4 hrs a day at different point and time during the day.
Sometimes the pvp events and wife events overlap so I push early and toss up a day shield, otherwise I do 8 or 3 hrs shields and place top 10 or 5, a couple of times first place.
Either way you cut it, it's more worth it plopping 300 hp for 3 covers than 1250hp for 1 specific. I remember the days without shields... god that was horrible.

Oof, trying to start my push, hitting some serious road blocks. I'm having the worst luck against teams involving OBW - matches literally start almost immediately off with a purple cascade, and then I'm getting robbed blind. Getting a little tired of it, hopefully I can stick to my word and push as hard as I was hoping. But this is proving to be a serious dampener to my usual speed.

I didn't join this PvP super early but have an easy bracket - i'm at 592 in 1st place. If everyone in the alliance reached about 500-550 on avg (i know we don't have 20 yet), we'd be ranked #1 as the leaders now have 9816.

Another Canadian here - married with kids, but still find time to squeeze in games sporadically through the work day and evenings.

I'm getting hit harder than usualy as my mmr is lower than I would want it to be. I'm using a 96 2/3/5 bp with a full thor and obw. I could level the bp higher but at this level it lets obw steal black.

Anyways, I got attacked multiple times and only won once of those. I might have a hard time reaching 800.

Stopping at 715 for tonight, can't find any targets worth more than 18 and it's someone I'd rather not start a fight with, beyond that it's people who would just retaliate and drag me waaay down. Hopefully I can push farther tomorrow, but that 1100 spot looks a good bit farther now, shame.

Started and blitzed up to 529 and I'm going to call it a night. I'm leading the bracket with that but I doubt it will last the night. I'll have more time to push higher tomorrow and I'll be gunning for the new 900 50hp tier but we'll see how that goes. Anyone else in my bracket? BobDucca is the name.

One idea about teamwork: I think we should do our best to not attack each other, but I know that I might not recognize most of your MPQ names for a while so please forgive me if I hit you. I won't take anything personally if you hit me either, but I would think that if you do recognize someone's name (or in the future hopefully they'll have a visual indicator), it's best to skip an alliance member (unless perhaps it's a last minute battle for 1st place).

One other thought, the alliances make the game feel much more competitive. But for this first tournament, in all likelihood, we won't get 1st place (I'm not saying we shouldn't go for it if it is within reach though) and I can't imagine a scenario where we aren't in the top 50 (we're #3 overall right now). I'm sure they will significantly tweak the tiering of alliance rewards which will heighten the competition, but I'm hoping they don't butcher the 2-50 rewards too much. No matter where they go with it, I'm very happy to be a part of a good/great alliance that I think will be able to consistently get top 10, if not top 5, finishes. I think it's very fair to say we will all be rewarded handsomely for our investments.

Edit: I see others have pushed much higher than me. Maybe I'll pack on a few more points before bed. One last edit: got up to 608.

Couldn't sleep... pushed to 818 and tossed on a 24 hr shield.
All I could find were lower than 15 points so didn't think it'd be worth the risk to push more on low points. Doubt i can push more tomorrow considering competition might be fierce when ppl wake up and it being a Sunday, but I'll keep an eye on it and see how things roll.

Major Carnage

So I'm 38 and from the San Francisco Bay Area. Married with an almost 2 year old so my playtime can be funky depending on the little one. Thankfully I'm a night owl and like to grind after everyone else in the house is asleep.

It looks like everyone here came ready to kick some butt. I like it. Hopefully you guys got into some decent brackets. I got stuck with the Ladder in mine, so I'm probably not going to win my bracket but should place decently well.
